“Here...” Alyssa would hand the Elixer Ramious gave her over to Bernard. “He should have gave it to you... There’s nothing I can do to help...” She’d dampen a cloth with some water and dab his forehead before resting it on his forehead. 

Bernard gives a weak smile and shakes his head.  "No, its to precious.  It should be saved.  I just need to reprepare some spells and I should be able to take care of this."  He closes his eyes a moment as Alyssa puts the cool cloth to him.  He gives a weak laugh, "Funny, I thought I was the healer but take a look at me now..."

Ramious stands near Leon watching.... "Let me know if you need me to hit anything with this axe." 

A small amused chuff would leave her lips when Bernard would say his last sentence. Alyssa had thought the same thing to herself back in the cave in their last adventure. When he came along, Bugs had proven to be a more well rounded healer than her so she changed her path. “You’d know best...” She’d offer a small smile. “Though, I’d argue it’s more logical and efficient for you to take the elixir now until you get the chance to prepare your spells. The elixir isn’t as precious when you have the ability to do the same thing. That makes you the precious one.” The elf would boop his nose before standing back up. 

It might be a good thing, that Leon did not take Ramious' offer and finished his careful disassembling the lit - one visible now dart in the wall looked pretty dangerous, and who knows how many were there.

Now, when everything was safe, the last treasure of this resting place was revealed - and on a silver platter, no less. The third chest held eleven coin necklaces, fifteen bracelets of obsidian, bronze, and shell (10 gp each), and two piles of gems (tourmalines, spinels, and topazes; sixty gems worth 5 gp each) lying upon two silver platters 15 gp apiece).

Meanwhile Alyssa and Bernard enjoyed the view of the crimson pit with it's plants. Admittedly, neither plants not lights made Bernard feel any better.

Leon was lost in his concentration so, while he realized Ramious was there - who wouldn't notice a massive winged teifling standing behind them, he finished his work with care.

Alyssa would pad over to return to the doorway of the crimson pit. She’d pat her nose as she’d play out numerous scenarios in her head on how things could go, preparing herself with a couple ideas. It seemed easy enough to get across. It was the carnivore plant that needed taming. If they kill it with fire, would the smoke threaten their oxygen?

Not a plant - plants, Alyssa counted eight of them, one under each bar that could help to get across the pit. But as dangerous as the looked (probably poisonous too - who knows), there is plenty of air. Sure, you would not want to stand right in the smoke, but there is no danger of suffocation.

Ramious head nods to Leon, "The others are back here. Good job with the...thing...and stuff."  But before leaving, he enters the hallway outside that room and looks.  There's still a door here they haven't opened yet?  Right?  He motions for Leon to stand back, and yells down the hallway, "Just checkin this other door in case you hear a ruckus you two!" and then opens the door. 

((*Gasps* Just like this?!))

So, Leon is collecting treasure in one room, Alyssa and Bernard meditate on the crimson pit in another and Ramious comes to the the door which is barred, though it seems to have no latch. He had to remove the bar but the door did not open up. It appears to open outward, but when Ramious pushed against it, three arms sprung out from the lintel and closed around him, like a giant claw, leaving only enough space for slight wriggle (DC 20 Dexterity (Acrobatics) check to wriggle free by yourself)

(To be clear, Ramious waited until Leon was ready to leave, and then told everyone he was opening the door, and asked Leon to step out of the hallway in case a trap went off...so he should be seeing all this.)

It was a good attempt - for a second it looked like Ramious is about to wiggle out of the claw, but at the last moment it tightened its grip. Tiefling also felt that even his enormous strength was not enough to break metal arms from their sockets - he needed some help.

Leon was watching the struggle from a safe(r) spot and could reach Ramious in time (combined Strength  (Athletics) check for DC30 )

Pressing his back against two hands, Ramious strained his muscles to pry back the one hand in front of him. Leon pulled that hand off from his side and finally the thing gave away. The tiefling could free himself, and not a moment too soon: the cover to a 5-foot-square pit starts to drop open right under his feet. The 15-foot-deep pit, lined with spikes, was too narrow for wings, and it was safe to guess, if thrown in Ramious could end up on those spikes.

Now he and Leon could watch opening pit from a safe distance. The door remained closed, though. Well can be it was not really a door? Would not put it past designers of this lovely place.

"Well glad you didn't try that without letting me know." Leon says as he looks down into the pit. "Those spikes look pretty sharp, don't they..."

Ramious looks down....and shrugs casually, but his gaze lingers on the spikes as they turn away.  "Come on, there's some plants over this way that want to kill us, we should go check them out."  He heads back to the other two, regarding Bernard.  If he's no worse, and hasn't taken the elixir, Ramious shrugs and tucks it back away for a rainy day.  "So...Alyssa....I was thinkin....." he glances at her, then at the plants ,then back to her, then grins..."maybe some fire?" 

He holds out his palm and some fire begins to splutter into life there....though he waits for her to join in before throwing it down the hall at the plants.

“Yeah.” Alyssa would say simply and just follow Ramious’ lead since it seemed to be the time now. 

Ramious stops, and looks back at Alyssa, "What's up with you?  You ok?  You been acting weird the last little while."  He glances at Bernard who looks woozy and is sweating.  He glances at Leon, "How about you?  You feelin ok?" 

Bernard gets himself up and away from the wall.  "I'll be fine after some rest.  I know just the thing to help but I need to rest first before I can cast it.  Until then I'll be a little off but this poison won't kill me outright."

“I will be.” Alyssa would offer a polite smile. She’d shift a little uncomfortably before looking back into the room. She was ready to tackle the 8 plants when the others were ready.
