You hear the wolves talking about how they're going to enjoy eating the elk as they attack it.

Though a birdman of nature himself, and understanding the cycle, with so many things off about the area, Zaf comes to a decision. And so, he takes off, flying at least a good thirty feet off the ground, and then closing in on the hunting party. The moment he got within range(30ft), the prayer beads come out and glow as sings into being a veil of butterflies to shield the Elk.

Jirel would tilt her head at the interaction, it seemed pretty normal for the animal world with the exception of an ice muzzle on wolf. She'll catch Zaf flying off into sky casting a veil over the elk. Feeling well fed and playful, the barbarian will adjust her posture, suspiciously dusting and primping herself like she's watched the Sun of Halifax do many times before. Once satisfied she'll clear her throat and approach the animals with her hands out in a grand gesture. "What a fine day we have here! Pardon me, Elk and gentlepups. I am glad fate has decided to have our paths meet this day." To her she was attempting to mimic a certain charismatic character to get what they wanted from them. To the others though, it might have been a bunch of different grunts, growls and snorts. "I couldn't help but notice the beautiful weather in contrast to the usual frigid nature of these woods. Perhaps you may be able to enlighten my friends and I on this anomaly? We'd be most gracious for your assistance and be willing to lend a hand in finding a solution to your quarrels." Jirel would pop an inquisitive brow.

Speak with Animals

The wolves look at each other, then back to the now-warded elk, then back to you. "Eat her." The wolf with ice on it's muzzle says. Roll for initiative.

"Woop!" Jasun startles: 13

“S-such is the circle of life, I suppose...” Rose says with a dejected sigh.

Jirel would shrug. This is why she should just stick to her simple ways. She'll draw her axes and smirk, "Try a taste."

With a rumble of a growl in her throat, Jirel will brace herself as she dodges the blast.

The barbarian will snarl and lash out on W2 for knocking Rose down.

Zaf is so heavily buffeted by the wave of cold, that if not for a charm worked beneath the assault, he could've very well fallen from the sky! As things stood, he bore the cold, transformed into his starry form, and chirped another powerful note to heal Rose(and himself, by extension!).

Action: Enter Starry Form(Chalice).

Bonus Action: Cast (2nd level)Healing Word on Rose, restoring 12 to her, and Chalice Healing on self, restoring 4 HP.

"T-Thank you!" Rose shouts to Zaf for the much appreciated heal, getting up now from being on her behind for longer than she wished to be. She then gives a look over to the barbarian who had retaliated quickly against the wolf who brought her down. With a smile, she says, "And you too Jirel, for protecting me."

With a breath, she focuses back on the fight and tries attacking at Direwolf1 with another Sacred Flame! Dex save 14 or take 3 radiant damage!

"YEEOUCH!" Jasun barks in pain as the Winter Wolf's claws hit. He weaves a rebuttal in the form of Hellish Rebuke!
