How bad could it be? She brings the cup to her lips and gives it a cautious sip...

It wasn't... bad. Something she would definitely need to sip and not gulp, that's for sure. She gives a look to the liquid in her cup, thinking about what he just said to her. "I know everything has been difficult for you, but... I'm glad to know you want to live, Jasun. I want you to live too..." Her eyes soften on her glass. "Everyone here wants you to live, even if they may not say it." She then looks to the bardlock, a small flame in her eyes. "I won't let you die, okay? Healer's promise."

"I'm saddened to know you thought of dying to be your only way out of this because you have a lot ahead of you, and I'm guessing Sera had something to do with you deciding against it." She giggles a bit, then looks back to him. "I'm glad you're here now, Jasun, and I hope you'll stick with us till the end."

 After paying the blood tax and finding it grievous, Zaf flapped his wings with such ferocity as to pick up snow, dust, and other debris to cover his ascension high into the air. From there he let rain the light of the heavens in hopes of getting a tax return from on high.
