Dog follows behind. "Well, he wasn't totally unhelpful. Nice work. Really."
He sends Stitches off to look for Tock.
Back with Ronis, he speaks up, still invisible. "Ronis do you think we should try to find him? I've kind of lost the thread here. We're trying to find the cult, and thus far we have the goblins who are working for them as enforcers in a racketeering enterprise. I feel like we're barely treading water. What am I missing?"
Martin finds Ronis right where he left him, waiting for them to come out. "Well, find anything? I didn't want to go in because, uh, bad history. You'd already gone inside, but Tock said he was going to go take care of things; I assume he's apprehending them now? He didn't really say where he was going, or seem to require help, and I very quickly lost track of him, so I figured I'd wait to tell you."
The remaining goblin has nearly a full minute lead on Tock by the time he gets down from the roof, around the investigation, and on the trail of his quarry. After about 10 minutes, he realizes he has been following the footsteps of a halfling maid running errands. The goblin has escaped.
Stitches wanders the city streets, of which there are many. The little familiar is soon outside of Dog's telepathic range.

Tock...
... drops his disguise in some alley and makes his way back to the site of the battle, following the guards escorting Wart somewhere. Once he catches up with them he decides to try one last thing. He will ask Tymora for help, "random accidents happen from time to time. I'm asking you to have one happen to Wart."
Using Divine Intervention asking for something that would put her out of her misery. 10
But it doesn't happen.
He will just follow the guards to understand where they are taking her.
Four watchpeople lead Wart to the central watch station, which boasts the largest and most secure prison in the city. They lead her inside, presumably to book her and hold her until trial.
Twenty and then 30 minutes pass as Dog, Gash, Ronis, and Martin do some window shopping in a part of the city they are not terribly familiar with.
Tock will use one of the Sending Stones in his possession that is connected with another party member (I can't recall which) and says, "Heading back to where we parted ways. Are you nearby? Where do we meet up?"
Upon regrouping he will say, "They will no longer bother the merchants. The tail of the snake has been cut off, only the head remains. What did you find out in the meantime?"
“A Halfling named Jola offers increased customers, for a fee. It sounds just close enough to legal that local guards may have avoided involvement. But it’s a racket.”
Everyone returns to the palace, passing through the remains of a violent encounter being attended to by the city watch. There area few hours left in the day before the sun sets. Gash, feeling the weight of the conflict with his cousins excuses himself to head home. Martin, Tock, Dog, and Ronis are left to decide their next move.
Tock says, "I need to check with city records on who owns or lives in the place I traced the other kenku to yesterday."
(other than that I've forgotten what we were up to.. there was a dinner coming and a show to be organized and the black tabaxi and the cultists and Dog had a weird message from a wizard and what else?)
(Cultists, Tabaxi, Finnegan, Performance are pretty much all there is I think?)
"You do that. Are there any tunnels beneath the city or something? They have to be operating out of somewhere. Maybe they're just in a random building thought, gah. Why don't we just go to this kenku and ask 'em what their deal is."
(Tonight is when Dog's supposed to meet Finnegan, per the Tabaxi?)
"I'd appreciate some backup tonight at the mage tower, in case this is a trap. Tock, you said this Tabaxi wasn't the more reliable of people, right?"Dog says as they arrive.

The party got together and had a few hours until the evening. So Tock said he's gonna go find something out. I'm unsure if we have gone forward in time at all or not.. and I assumed we had.

(Oh, when it is in conversation I will never take that to be an action the character is taking. To me as the DM, Tock was just throwing an idea out to the group.)
“Tock how about I go see what I can see about who comes and goes from the place you followed the Kenku to, while you go check the city records. Maybe see what else you can find about a Halfling named Jola in there? I still suspect that noble **** who wanted to oust our queen.”

"Well, this guy's pretty much the only lead we got. I've half a mind to just storm wherever he's holding up."
Tock says, "Wait, a halfling? That's interesting. The one I observed picking up the money last night was a kenku in a white robe."

(Yup)

Yup
Tock says, "Yeah, she broke into my office a while ago as well. And that's the time I know about."
(did Tock find anything out about the house where she tracked the other kenku to?)
(When? I don't understand the question.)
