After a little bit of talking to people, you all see two well dressed people enter the ally and start talking to the guards. You over hear their names are Sergeant Seath Cromley and Protector Barnibus Blastwind. Barnibus begins to inspect the bodies and the sergeant begins sending soldier to knock on doors and ask questions. After a little while, the two make their way towards you and your tavern. Barnibus asks in a scratchy voice, "I am the head inspector on this incident, Protector Barnibus Blastwind. Do any of you know who this gnome is? Have you ever seen him before?" 

"No we don't." Cora offered. "We were hoping you could, perhaps, shed some light on the situation." She didn't mention the fireball necklace or the automoton. Not just yet.

"Well if you learn of who he is or what he was doing here, please let us know," Barnibus says as he turns and makes his way back towards the crime scene. 

"Uh huh." Cora said, having no intention of doing so. She turned to the others, away from the city employees. "So what do you wanna do?"

"If a Gondian automaton is responsible for this, perhaps we should visit a temple of Gond."

"I like that idea." Cora admitted. "Shall we then? Maybe after washup and breakfast."

“Sounds like a plan to me,” Vincent agrees, nodding along with the idea.

Heishe nods, frowning faintly. "Agreed. A trip seems to be in order."

Assuming there isn't anything you would like to do in this area....

The House of Inspired Hands looks like a cross between a temple and a workshop. The symbol of Gond, a toothed cog with four spokes, is displayed prominently. You see the silhouette of a humanoid shape perching on the rooftop. It extends an arm, releasing a tiny metal sparrow into the sky. The bird does a few loops in the air, then veers right toward you.

Cora went back into the Inn and bathed, skipping her work out for the day. She hated doing that, and told herself to do it later that day. She dressed up, armored up, and attached her sword belt. She went downstairs and strode with the group to the House of Inspired Hands. She looked up.

"Hey." she said, pointing upward. "Isn't that the automot- What the f--?!" 

She drew her blades, initiative: 8

Not as fast as she wanted to be, the metal sparrow was fast, and her team mates faster.

As Drusilla aims her blast at the metal bird, it explodes. The figure on top of the temple hurriedly runs through a small hatch and out of sight. 

"Someone's just went into a hatch up there! It goes into the temple. Quickly, before they get away!"
