"Sorry to be such an inconvenience, what was I thinking?"Cora said sarcastically, feeling her bones repair. She got back up. "Thanks for the advice."she said even more venomously. She walked past you and into the temple, looking for the others.
Lu-lu walks carefully over to the hiding form, crouching down a bit with her hand outstretched, she talks in a calm, inviting voice, “Hello, my name is Tallulah, but everyone calls me Lu-lu. What’s your name?”

Vincent felt bad he wasn’t fast enough to catch Cora from her fall, apologizing profusely to her when Drusillia came over to give her a much needed heal. He felt the tension between the two, the venom behind Cora’s words, but says nothing on it, and merely follows behind them to join the rest in the temple.

LuLu: You get the general gist of the hand motions to be primitive sign language. The creature seems to be trying to apologize to you. As you start getting a general understanding of it, the door to the attic is knocked on and you hear the voice of someone calling out, "Nim, there are some people to see you out here. Apparently, one of them is in there with you. Would you unlock the door?"
Everyone else: You are lead up the tower to a locked wooden door where the priest says, "Nim, there are some people to see you out here. Apparently, one of them is in there with you. Would you unlock the door?" The door slowly opens and you see a strange mechanical humanoid standing there with LuLu behind him.
“That’s alright. Thanks for trying.“ Cora said to Vincent. “Musta lost my grip of something in the heat of the moment.”
As the door to the attic opened, Cora smiled slightly and gasped in recognition. “Nim..! What are you doing..?” but then went quiet, clearing her throat.
Nim waves at all of you, looking very confused at Cora with 0 recognition. It seems to be a bit more comfortable since none of you have gotten mad at it yet.
Lu-lu puts an arm around Nim, “This is my new friend—“ she looks at him for a second, uncertain, “Nim, unfortunately I do not speak his sign language. Can someone else understand what he is saying?”

The dragonborn priest says, "I can translate for you. He speaks a simple sign language we taught him. He is apologizing for startling you all earlier."
"Can you ask him why he sent a mechanical bird to attack us?" Lu-lu is very careful to keep her face calm, she doesnt want to accuse the nervous automaton but she DOES want to get to the bottom of this mystery.

The dragonborn turns and very angrily signs at the nimblewright. After a quick conversation she turns to you and says, "Apologis, it didn't mean to attack you. It simply let the bird go in your direction on accident. It is glad that no one was hurt."
"Awww! I'm sorry about your bird! We are so used to shadowy figures attacking us, that we just assumed it was some kind of...death bird!" Lu-lu looks very upset about the situation, but you can see the lightbulb flash, reminding her of WHY they were coming here in the first place. "We did have another important question--" She pulls out the red necklace, "Do you recognize this?"

Cora observed Nim. No, of course he wouldn't know her. It was a very, very long time ago. No one here, in fact, would know the history they shared together. It was like history had been rewritten and here she was, meeting it for the first time. Again. She missed those memories, but perhaps it was the potential of this life's experiences that made her smile softly at the automoton. He was there, after all. He was there during that famous heist, and for so much more, for so much longer. Even when Umbra destroyed the world and they went underground, he was there. It seemed like yesterday, but..so far away. Like a distant memory long, long forgotten.
"Hello, Nim."was all she said, the inflection in her voice crystal clear. Cora knew this thing. It was clear both of them had some sort of past, even if it was only one sided.
“We have a witness at the time of an explosion in trollskull alley this morning, this was dropped from the roof by an automaton, we were just hoping to get an idea if maybe Nim might have some idea of who that could be.”

Nim starts frantically signing after hearing this. Nim admits that it built the other nimblewright to ease its loneliness. But then Nim’s creation fled in confused terror a month ago, and Nim hasn’t seen it since. Nim quickly pulls out a strange 1-foot-long copper contraption with an umbrella-like metallic protrusion at one end. Nim signs that it built this device to find the errant nimblewright and tried to seek it out, only to discover that Nim couldn’t leave the temple grounds.
Valetta looks angrily at Nim and orders to some of the acolytes below to come up and remove the tinkering tools and inventions from the attic. Turning to Nim she starts signing aggressively and as acolytes arrive, she forces Nim to watch them remove it's things. She turns to you and says, "Apologies for all the trouble Nim has caused. He shall be punished accordingly. We would be grateful if you were to destroy this nimblewirght Nim made. We would pay you 500gp and may be able to give you some of our inventions. We caused this problem and we must solve them."
To activate the nimblewright detector, a character must hold down its trigger. When the activated device comes within 500 feet of a nimblewright other than Nim, the umbrella begins to spin, whir, and click. The spinning, whirring, and clicking accelerates as the distance to the target lessens, reaching maximum velocity and volume when a nimblewright other than Nim is within 30 feet of the device.
