Cadence eyes the fleeing Goblin. With a flickering of magic, she vanishes and appears across the room next to the curtain. (Misty Step) She pushes through the curtain and glances around for the fleeing goblin, looking to make chase. (She has 40 feet movement while bladesinging.) If she can get within line of site with 40' movement, she will firebolt him. If she can get within sword strike distance she'll swing at him.

Passing through the curtain in the blink of an eye, you don’t immediately see the goblin. There is however a door to your right (east) that was previously closed. You can also make out a stone brazier full of coals glowing in the middle of the room. As well as two straw pallets are lined up along the east wall. (you still have movement)
Cadence, as you make it to the door frame you see movement from a curtain to the northeast. But from the outside of the room don’t notice any occupants. There are two more beds that you can see along the eastern wall.
She rushes into the room and towards the curtain in the northeast, until she's used up her movement. (without dashing, so just 40 feet total movement from the first curtain).

Hobgoblin init: 13
Attack: 13 vs 20 Damage: 6
Martial advantage, if hit: 3
Goblin Attack: 18 Damage: 8
You feel the breeze of two sword strikes completely miss hitting you... a hobgoblin stands just north of the door looking dumbfounded that he missed. The goblin you were chasing is just south of the door to the ‘barracks’ looking equally as confused. As you quickly make you way past the curtain. You stop just short of a door along the east wall of a small room. (That’s all movement and I’ll need another perception check from you)
Seemingly unsurprised by the sudden appearance of a hobgoblin, and moving in a crooked line even while giving chase, her unexpected movements pull her just wide of the hobgoblins swings, before she strikes back. She swings, her blade glowing with bright green flames. Attack: 24 Damage: 4. (+3 fire damage to any single enemy within 5 feet of the hobgoblin if she hits.)
Velda, still smarting from the cut, slams her shield into the goblin to pin him against the wall and she points her sword at his throat: "Your choice if you die here or not. There could be a place for you outside of this castle, but you got to drop your weapons!"
I assume a grapple check, so Athletics: 13 to pin the goblin, and Intimidation to speak with him: 6

The goblin easily dips out of the way of your shield Velda. As you stand there pointing your sword at its throat it’s grins menacingly at you and speaks in goblin, “It’s you who should leave. Before you wind up dead. This is our castle after all.”
Nova would prowl forward, snarling at the Goblin giving Velda a menacing grin after dodging her pin. With a growl, she lurches forward to bite onto his leg and try pulling him down to the ground with her momentum.
Velda's sidekick Pack Tactics. The wolf has advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of the wolf's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.

The goblin is caught completely unawares by WolfNovas bite attack as you latch on to its ankle and pull he falls to the ground hitting his head on the hard stone floor and lies motionless (dead).
Meanwhile, your sniffer is hard at work trying to maintain a sense of where the owlbear smell is coming from. (For it is in fact an owlbear. I figure a creature living in the woods would recognize it) The smell seems strongest when you’re facing the curtain Cadence just disappeared behind...
Raithe darts forward, 25 feet through the curtain and then into the next room. She stops short as she sees herself surrounded on either side by the hobgoblin and goblin on either side of the door. Reacting almost without thinking, she strikes at the hobgoblin with her booming blade. She then looks back to where she came from and fey steps back into mist, appearing 15 feet back to the west. With her final 5 feet of movement she steps normally to the north, ducking around the corner. She says, "there are two baddies on either side of the door! Cadence has disappeared!"to the others.
Action: Attack: 12 Damage: 4 plus 1 thunder damage on a hit, from booming blade.

The hobgoblin looks a bit confused by Raithe’s sudden appearance and equally sudden disappearance. He points to the goblin saying, (in goblin) “Find that second elf creature.” He then moves northeast threw the curtain after Cadence.
Longsword: 16 Damage: 2
Frustrated by its previous miss. The hobgoblin takes a mighty two-handed swing at Cadence’s mid section and gives a satisfied little grin as it seems he’s about to hit the elf from behind. When his blade suddenly diverts down just before contact. Striking the stone with a clang and shower of sparks.
Meanwhile...
The goblin heads back to where he first saw the intruders and last heard the second elven creature. Finding her, he manages to react quickly enough to slash her on the side with his scimitar, while calling back to the hobgoblin, “I found the second elf creature,” (in goblin of course)
He then runs back to where he was, since he doesn’t want to face down an elf all by himself. (BA: nimble escape, disengage)

Velda would ready an attack on whatever comes through the curtain, as long as the creature isn't an ally.
