Soren runs almost halfheartedly at first. Maybe if the water took him, he would be reunited with his people. But then he remembers his quest, and realizes that he is needed. He starts to run with a new urgency towards the centre of the island

"We have to find the fragment! Do not run to the ship yet! Find higher ground and search for the temple the Oracle mentioned!" shouts Areus as he sees the rest of the group running towards the ship. Areus quickly looks around for a temple and at the same time checks the level of the water. Perception18
You rush towards the exit but find that the water fills the room faster and faster. Arixmethes truly is submerging into the sea. You quickly find yourselves overwhelmed and completely underwater. You hold your breathe and desperately try and swim but the force of the water keeps you down.
"Fear not.' You hear the Oracle say
Reflexively you try and draw air as you can't hold your breath any longer.
You are amazed as you realize you can breathe under water.
You hear the Oracle continue, "I have cast a spell of water breathing on you but you must hurry, the spell only lasts for 10 hours. Face your trials and find the mask. Return after you succeed so I may tell you more about your future."
"Thank you for your aid Oracle, we will not fail you." says a still shocked Areus still considering what just happened to him and the rest of the group. "Let's head out and search for the other fragment." says to the group as he tries to swim out of the temple.

It takes Saya a few minutes to work out how to swim under water but eventually she gets the hang of it. Swimming further and further into the city you search that which looks like what might be the temple that you seek would look like.
As you make you way through the streets about 20 mins later you find a number of fish swim along with. They seem to show you the way, blocking streets and guiding you the way that you must go. At the end of a long street you see what must be your destination. Approaching from the south you move towards the towering temple.
Worn stairs lead up to dozens of marble columns that surround the oblong temple. A staggered marble roof rests on top of the columns, adorned with frescos of beasts and heroes
The southern wall is a mural of a set of double doors. The north wall is blank.
The temple’s eastern and western walls feature living murals, which are animated and show you different scenes on repeat.
The mural on the temple’s western wall depicts a hero sitting at home. The house is surrounded by a dense forest. You see an impressive, well-defined figure, sharpening a sword. It sits in a homely room, where a shield and armor hang on the walls, and a fire crackles in the chimney. The house is surrounded by a dense forest, where the shadows of giant creatures loom.
The mural on the temple’s eastern wall depicts three hags that run amok in a small village. Three hunched, seaweed-draped crones run amok in the streets of the small village, tearing the flesh from the panicked villagers. The humped monsters go from house to house, drag the denizens outside, and cackle with glee.
Seriously folks. How is a Centaur supposed to swim underwater?? LOL

Areus tries to think if some of the murals are linked to some story or legend that he knows (Religion or History6 ). "Saya, do you know the meaning of those murals mean?" The Akroan slowly swims towards the southern walls and checks if the doors are open. Remembering his fight with the giant octopus, Areus will scan the area looking for signs of giant sea creatures or hungry sharks. (Perception9)
"Maybe both murals are related. Maybe the eastern is happening outside of the hero's home? But, what does that has to do with the mask?" Puzzles Saya, still getting used to swim underwater.

"Maybe that hero found the fragment and the citizens of this city built him this temple as reward. I do not like those three hags, let's hope to not meet them, if they still live." replies Areus.
"Those doors are too heavy, I can not open them." says Areus "at least it seems that there is no immediate danger near this temple." "This temple should be the right temple, maybe there is an hidden entrance that we are not seeing. Maybe the fragment that we have will guide us to the other that hopefully is inside this temple." Areus slowly takes out from his satchel the Elpis mask and placing it on his right eye says "My light in the darkness." The fragment glows with a cool, pale light and illuminates everything within 60 feet from the Arkoan. "Show me the hidden entrance of this temple!" Areus focuses his will trying to pierce the veil that may hide invisible objects or creatures. Knowing that this power of the mask is limited he quickly swims all around the temple looking for an entrance that he may have missed before.
Tisto touches the picture but the hags ignore him and continue to plunder the village and dragging people out of their homes.
Areus swims around the temple lighting everything up but but no secret entrances are revealed. The rest of you do however notice that the hags seem to notice the light as it goes past but keep attacking the village.
The hero sitting in his cabin looks up and watches the light pass by.

Somewhat better than a Satyr I suspect. Tisto is hanging on to Saya's mane and trying to do some sort of frog kick.

Areus keeps a sharp eye out but he sees no danger approaching them. The doors are closed and he cannot open them.
Meanwhile the images continue to repeat, showing the action of the same scene over and over.
Tisto lets go of Saya's mane and swims up to the mural of the three hags "nothing ventured nothing gained" he says as he touches one of the hags.
