Tisto sends a Thunderwave out that explodes 4 of the masks leaving only 1 left near him. Meanwhile Areus is able to break free from the snarled strands of fate that were restraining him.

Areus, holding high the shield, thrusts his spear at the nearest mask then with the same movement, the Arkonian attempts to shatter the other mask with a follow-up attack.

Callaphe strikes out with her short swords and though the first is a miss the second slices a mask in half. As you destroy this shadow mask, a flurry of them burst outwards in a storm, cawing and fluttering like a swarm of ravens. The world turns black, drowned in a sea of laughing masks. The voice of Kruphix whispers in your ear. “The masks threaten the weave of destiny. They cannot be allowed to rest in the hands of those who would abuse them.”
Stars blaze around you, churning in a whirlpool of celestial fire that harries and hounds you ever inwards. A silent shadow falls across your vision, as a gigantic hand reaches down from the light, blinding and burning. The starlight simulacrum bears a burning mask, white fire billowing from it. “A foe of cosmic ambition,” the voice of Kruphix echoes from all sides, “will rip open the gates of death."
The light grows ever brighter, increasing until there is nothing but pure white brilliance all around you. The voice of Kruphix whispers in your ear. “Only the light of the sun, in shadow, will hold her back.”

As the Fire creature appears in front of the group, Areus enters into a defensive stance rotating his shield horizontally and placing his spear on the top. "Be prepared, that thing is not going to go down easily as those crazy masks!" shouts the Hoplite. "Maybe, I think that now is the time to ask the gods to grant us the benefit of a rest. I, for sure, need one."
(OOC if the group decides to take a short rest I will use 4 hit dice to heal myself 18 and 16 )
After Soren's attack Tisto takes 20 pts of Psychic damage and Saya takes 6 as the masks cackle in laughter
Once again the strands of fate reach out and Callaphe and Soren find themselves grappled while Areus is still restrained.
