Even before the battle begins, it is over. The sabertooth lies dead at your feet, and in the distance is a roar of fury at someone losing a beloved pet. Then, all is silent.
Kai looks at the now dead saber tooth with raised brows, surprised at how quickly it had fallen, then says,“Anyone of you wanna, like, skin that for me? I could definitely use that meat for some meal. I’d do it myself but, uh... I’m a farm boy not a butcher! Love to learn though!”

"I'm thinking that we should not do that. Because it sounds like someone is very upset over having just lost their pet saber tooth and they will probably be coming this way very quickly and they will most certainly not be happy to see you turning their pet into breakfast."

Ava sees everyone else rush the cat and turns in the direction of the javelin and shout, bringing her shield up (taking the dodge action if I can) and watching the woods for a sign of their enemy. "Come on out! Lay down your arms and I won't cleave them off!"
"Well maybe they should've taken better care of it," Kai huffs, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

Before anything can be fired from his bow, the battle is over, hearing the cry of agony or regret in the distance, Lucas lets out a small sigh. He then moves over to the dead sabertooth, and kneels down, clapping his hands together and closing his eyes in a prayer. He first wishes the animal safe travels to the Beastlands, before turning his prayers to Solonor Thelandira, the elven god of hunt. To him, he asked that this creature who sought to hunt them be given praise for its bravery in taking on so many. Once that was done, he opens his eyes and reaches out to close the large mammal's eyes. In elvish, he speaks to it, "Rest now, fierce hunter. Let your death be unwasted, and your life true. Move on, and thank you for your death." He then looked up at the party, "So, should we take it? I'm fine with leaving it here, but I believe we can make much with its flesh and bone. Not to mention the fur and fat would make for great winter clothing."
There is no sign of the owner of the sabertooth, unfortunately. Whoever threw the javelin has left the scene, and the snowfall makes it impossible to discern where he or she fled to.
On the fourth day, you reached the town of Bryn Shander. Compared to Luskan, this town is nothing special—but it is the most bustling settlement in all of Icewind Dale. The address on Maccath’s package leads you to an inn called Kelvin’ Comfort; it serves mead from the town of Goodmead, and is known throughout town for its specialty drink: Flamebeard’s Firebrandy.
The walls of Bryn Shander, southernmost and largest of the Ten-Towns, loom over you. This fortified trading post is the gateway to Icewind Dale, and it stands atop a desolate, windswept hill. Guards atop the walls gaze at you, but you can barely make out their expressions underneath their masks and fur-lined caps. They open the gates and wave you in nonetheless.
You have only one package to deliver in Ten-Towns: an iron lockbox containing some sort of draconic artifact from a tiefling wizard named Maccath the Crimson. This parcel is for a person called Raggamel the Renegade, and Maccath’s note says to ask for him with Ogden, the innkeeper of Kelvin’s Comfort.
Lucas, if no one held objections to it, would have asked someone to carry the Sabertooth's corpse with them, wrapping it in a cloth so to reduce the spoilage. When they stopped to rest on the 3rd day, he would delay his own rest so he could properly dismantle it.
Survival: 12 (if lucas would have adv on dismantling his favored enemy): 27
Regardless of the level of success, once the raw materials were separated, he would store them away for future preparation or selling.
Once in town, Lucas asks the group, "So....any chance anyone here knows where Kelvin's Comfort is?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Shrek ambles up to the first person in town that he sees, and towering over them, calls down in a friendly voice "I's Shrek, with a package delivery to Kelvin's Comfort....help Shrek find place?"
"Kelvin's Comfort?" a passerby asks. "Sure. It's two blocks down, on the left. Right past the Whore's Nipple. Can't miss it."
Kelvin’s Comfort has a lively atmosphere compared to the chilly reception you all received at the gates. A lone bard plays an upbeat song in the corner, and a handful of the bar’s patrons are dancing to the tune. The innkeeper, a dwarf, is working at the bar.
OOC: HOLY #@&*#&@#, @JorvikDave, way to show off to your fellow barbarian! :-)
