Fianna walks over to the bench, picking the book up off the floor where it's fallen. The bench is broken from the dead armored warrior thrown against the wall, the body still slummed upside down, it's feet lolling to one side, the neck bent badly on the floor.......but she can sit on one end of the bench still and so settles down. She flips open the book and reads its title. A Dissertation on the Theories of Divinational Constructs and their Interactions With Material Components by Dahana Loraris. It starts with an introduction..... I would like to thank my previous teacher and mother who were instrumental in helping me complete this manuscript and all of its works. Without them....
That's about as far as she gets. The roaring voice of Chen, followed by the rest of the group, and Fi'Finella, all running away...slowly gets quieter and quieter...until it reaches the opposite room of the complex and begins to get louder and louder....now coming from the Necromancy room and it's black fog. Eventually Chen comes charging through the black smoke room and into the room with Fianna once again....his eyes darting to and fro....and not seeing an enemy to speak of.
The rest of the group comes running up behind him...one by one emerging from the room on necromancy. Huffing of breath, concerned looks....but no enemies. There is however, this extra person still...the Kenku looks around curiously.

((Well Fianna wasn't planning to read it so much as just toss it in the bag of holding for later... but ok.))
"So, find anything besides your fine feathered friend?" Fianna asks, standing, putting the book in her bag, and readying herself for anything. "So, feathers... Were those your demons? Your crow?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Our friend?" Just now Mirica took a good look at the kenku. "I thought its yours or Toc's summon."Angels around her were lost in that sudden racing exercise but may be for the best - people were kind of jumpy right now (she was not en exception) and could react poorly on the presence of a stranger. Mirica took a position closer to the wall and finally summoned her spirit lion: 13 x 6, she takes the first charge for herself. Then just looked at the bird-man, not interfering with FIanna's interrogation.
Having completed a full lap of the complex and seeing no enemies to attack, Chen looks wildly around in confusion and then again charges out the eastern door in search of the one responsible for the constant attacks, shouting incomprehensibly in Draconic as he goes. záludný ... mŕtvy ... čarodejník ... ukáž sa

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Russel wasn’t very pleased with ending up in the same place he had just been moments before. But that’s what happens when you follow a crazy person who yells down hallways...
He turns to look at Fianna and considers the answer to her question and mimicking her voice from earlier simply says, “No.”
Russel watches for any reaction from Fianna, people tend to have weird reactions hearing their own voice coming from not themselves. And if Russel was being honest, he rather enjoyed it most times.
After a few moments of silence he continues, mimicking Fianna’s voice at first, “feathered friend.” Followed by the sound of rustling leaves in the wind. He then uses accents that remind you of the residents of hillsfar(I think that’s the right town) “hunting Verdant cloud” though the last two words sound uncannily like Chen.
Jezun almost takes off after Chen again, but turns toward the group. "There... wasn't anything to chase. The ghost elf guy? He's gone. Or invisible. I can never tell. I assume he'll burn himself out eventually."He looks at the kenku. "So were you here before us, or did you follow us in? What are you doing here? I'm actually not sure I know what we're doing here by now. Guys? What are we doing here now? Are we cutting the demon strings or talking to the demons' boss or the dragon's friend or what?"
Russel stands silently staring at Jezun, a look of, “I literally just said why I’m here” on his face. Though if you aren’t familiar with kenku facial expressions it would be difficult to pick up on.
After an awkward silence passes he repeats what he said earlier “hunting verdant cloud”. Russel is hesitant to share more ... after all it’s rarely a good business practice to divulge everything you know with people you just met.
Mirica sighed once more watching spiritual puma dissolving into thin air (not before the full healing was transferred to her, since Chen was too busy running around at the moment). For the last charge she sent puma to the kenku: "Your feathers look a bit ruffled." (She did not say it as a joke, and Russel can add 13 HP to himself).
"We followed the chain the demon was on. Among us only Toc can break this chain and he does not think its a good idea. But we did found dragon's boss, it seems, probably Lalroch himself - his avatar or the corps possessed by him or his mind-controlled (or fulled - not a big difference) "benevolent" elven lich. So, it was not all in vain, just did not help to locate Verdant Cloud."
She looked at kenku: "And you say you are hunting the beast too. Why here? In these rooms? Do you know something about her present location? You do not have to answer but you see, we have reason to be suspicious of strangers and your timing is... questionable."

Fianna will study the feathered man? Woman? Creature? Hard to tell with all the feathers. But Fianna watched them closely to try to determine if they’re being honest and open or not... ((Insight: 9 ))
She also racks her brain about any information she may know or rumors she may have heard about creatures like this. (( 25 history is straight roll, arcana would be +5 - not sure what’s appropriate...))
Fianna racks her brain. Kenku. Kenku are cursed people, stripped of their flight and their true voices and left to wander the material plane. They pissed off their diety who cursed them this way. They are favoured as master thieves and assassins and are quite rare.
With so few words, spoken in another voice, it's tough to tell if it's lying or telling the truth... (roll Deception Russel, just to get a sense of how hard you are to "read")
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Russel begins to open his mouth to answer Fianna’s questions but then remembers she said he didn’t have to answer and snaps his mouth shut and stands looking around at the group. Using a patchwork like quilt of different voices from Hillsfar says, “Help me find Verdant cloud?”
Tic looks to the Kenku, "Indeed, if you're after the dragon, how did you end up here? If you're asking for help from us, you'd best be forthcoming."
The Kenku's face is that of a crow. And his feathery body, shrouded under cloaks and similarly alien to you. Fianna figures she'd have as much luck knowing if he was lying as she would a talking stone. Assuming he's even a he at this point.
Jezun looks at Mirica, and then Tic, and then at the ceiling, gesturing with both hands in controlled frustration that his questions have to keep getting asked.
Russel repeats the words of his employer in his voice though he doesn’t name them specifically. “ruins of Myth Drannor there may be a location tied to Verdant Cloud.” The words verdant cloud sound exactly like Chen for Russel likes the way Chen says it better.
Continuing as his employer, “powerful wizard I know teleport you right to this place.” Russel then imitates the arcane word used by the wizard that sent him here. Feeling that this was enough of an explanation of why he’s ... magically appeared here.
At Jezun’s question you hear what can only be described as an exasperated sigh. He then continues speaking in borrowed voices from the residents of Hillsfar. “Just sent here. Information.” His words purposefully vague though he feels they answer the questions.
Chen continues stomping along, looking around. Toc is behind him....and Chen notices his eyes are glowing dimly...his gaze looking like it can penetrate anything. They head back through the various rooms until they get to the furtherest south room, with the illusionary people wandering in and out of the place. Toc places his hand on Chen's shoulder. "There is a passage here." He walks to the southern wall...placing his hand upon it. "It's seems solid....the wall is not simply an illusion...but...I should be able to get us past it." He seems to look "through" the wall, and hisses to Chen, "Get the others....quickly.....he's through here....I see.....I see the Mythallar....."
