OOC Ah, didn't know that sort of move was possible with bardic inspiration. I was confused when you said you were using bardic inspiration, but, didn't say who you were inspiring, and thought you're exhortation to continue attacking the flying kobold was the inspiration. I'll remember that in the future.
Struck simultaneously by Smoke and Karib, the drake begins to thrash wildly once Rogram arrives, thrusting his sword into the scaled hide of the creature, then whipping the blade back to deflect another rock thrown downward by the flying kobold. The drake's heavy tail connects with Smoke's thigh, sending a numbness through his leg. Its teeth crunch painfully into Karib's hand before he can pull his staff back. With a heavy flap of its wings, the kobold soars above Yevele's next arrow.
Round 3 Order: Enemies Players <=====
Placement: Karib, Rogram, and Smoke are engaged in melee combat with the guard drake. The winged kobold is 15 feet in the air above Rogram.
Health: The winged kobold is wounded. The guard drake is wounded.
Karib is badly wounded. Smoke is wounded. Rogram is lightly wounded. Yevele is lightly wounded.
Ammunition: Yevele has used 2 arrows.
Active Effects: Karib - Bardic Inspiration from Smoke (1d6)
The kobold shrieks, then falls from the air as Yevele strikes true again with her arrow. Below, Karib finally staggers the muscle-bound beast with a sharp crack of his staff. Rogram slices into the drake's side with his blade, and as the creature rears up in pain, Smoke lunges in with his rapier to finish the deed.
With three new bodies joining Mondath's companion in the stirge's lair, the cavern falls silent again.
OOC: Each character has received 137 XP for defeating the guard drake and its winged kobold masters.
Karib, once again, sags to the floor, breathing heavily. "These caverns will be the death of me. Sometimes..." he looks around at the slick pools of blood on the floor and at the fallen bodies, "...sometimes I wonder if I died in the meat locker, and this is just the afterlife. That I am doomed forever to fight my way out..."
He is silent a time, rubbing his wounds, then smiles. "The aches and pains are all to mundane for that, though." He stands a little shakily, using his staff for support, "I'd just like to see some sunlight soon, so I can be sure."
Turning to the others, he asks, "Is there much left to explore?"
"Yes," Rogram says, not sounding impatient, but focused. He wipes the sides of his blade on the drake and then heads toward the room where we fought Cyanwrath. He takes care on the stairs to not set off any traps.
Karib looks up at Rogram shaking his head sadly, "I'm willing to keep going, lad, but I'd like a brief rest to recover a little. I took a walloping from that damned lizard."
He examines the torn links of armour, shaking his head. "Needs some repairs soon too."
Yevele will again bring up the rear of the party. But, when they pass the place where the drakes were (are), she will look to see how many of them are in there now. Is it still two, or is there only one left in there?
Smoke looks around to see the two undiscovered paths from the Mondaths room. We should try to explore the other rooms and escape before the rest of their army returns.
At Karib's request to rest, Rogram stops and turns, looking impatient again. He gives a shrug of exasperation, sighs loudly, and then drops to the ground to wait.
OOC: Giving some more time for Karib's action before botting and resolving.

OOC: The bardic inspiration was for the defensive flourish, not for Yevele.

Karib grunts as the tail unexpectedly catches him. He strikes again at the drake.

With his attention focussed on the drakes head Smoke doesnt notice the tailswipe knocking him back a few steps.
As he gathers his composure again he moves in for another thrust of his rapier hoping to pierce the creatures skin. Enough!

It seems we are overstaying our welcome

OOC Sorry, I didn't notice Karib's request for a short rest before I made my post. Do we take another short rest now?
At Karib's request to rest, Rogram stops and turns, looking impatient again. He gives a shrug of exasperation, sighs loudly, and then drops to the ground to wait.
OOC: Sounds like a short rest it is!
