You are left alone for a short time within the stirge's former lair, allowing you to recover from the brief struggle with the drake and its masters, catching your breath and relaxing your muscles.
OOC: Characters have gained the benefits of a short rest. If you would like to roll any hit dice, please do so in your next post (or note that you've rolled it in the game log on your character sheets).
Since we are traversing the dungeon once more, I'd like to get a general marching order for any possible future run-ins with the cavern's inhabitants. Once we have the rolls made and the order set, I'll advance us back toward the shrine where Cyanwrath was slain, beginning with the drake's nursery.
After a brief rest Karib rises slowly. The light on his shield flickers briefly as he refreshes the spell, then he makes sure that their prisoners remain unconscious before nodding to Rogram with a faint smile. "Onward!" he says.
Gazing into the pit of the next chamber, Yevele sees three blue-scaled guard drakes resting among the shadows past the sharp 10-foot drop-off.
Area Description:
A rack along the southwest wall holds implements such as long poles with lassos at the end, leashes and collars, sharp prods, mock weapons made of wood, and human-sized dummies stitched out of sailcloth and stuffed with straw, with ridiculous expressions painted on their faces.
Along the south wall ahead of you, a stairway is cut into the cavern, ascending in a spiral pattern toward a landing.
Being somewhat injured Smoke will stay behind Rogram this time. Taking note of the long poles and lasso's along the walls.
This must be what they used to train the drakes
He looks around and moves towards the southwall trying to sneak a peek up the spiral stairway but waiting for Rogram to take point. Perhaps more drakes await ahead.
"Mind the trap," Rogram says, climbing the stairs, but taking care where he saw the trap before. (It was here, wasn't it?) He moves steadily, but not hastily.
Karib hangs toward the back; his light diminishes any chance of stealth they would have were he to be at the front. He moves off slowly, leaving a decent gap after Rogram.
OOC: Correct, last time through Rogram had spotted that the top step was trapped.
Rogram directs the party carefully past the trapped step to a central landing area on the staircase. Another chamber lies to the side, where kobolds had been spotted resting previously. Ahead of you the staircase continues upward toward the shrine where you fought Cyanwrath.
Smoke thinks a moment knowing they have passed the goblins before. He motions to the left down the path to lead them to the dragon shrine. As they move through the corridor he says Let the kobolds remain there, last i saw it was where they slept.
If the dragon shrine is still empty Smoke will attempt to look down the stairs on the bottom right to see if he can spot anything there or if another path might be better for them.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If Karib gets to the room with the Kobolds he pauses, utters a prayer to Gond, then looks around. He is clearly fearful that his light might alert them.
With Smoke leading the way, you ascend the narrow stairway, which levels out for a short distance before twisting and descending into the cave where Cyanwrath fell. Karib pauses for a moment to peer into the chamber to the side, but the creatures within apparently pay no mind to you or the light that Karib carries.
Area Description:
This chamber has been enlarged and reshaped from its original form. The floor and three of the walls are pitted from acid, and stalactites and stalagmites have been polished into gleaming columns. Every surface glistens with moisture, and the air is warm and humid. The flat walls of the chamber are decorated with shallow abstract carvings of dragons. Dragons’ tails coil into intricate patterns and knots that flow across the walls. The creature portrayed in the northwest corner stands out: a five-headed dragon, rising from an erupting volcano. Other dragons, which seem dwarfed by the five-headed monstrosity, flock to its side. A small, wooden chest with silver and mother-of-pearl inlays sits on the floor in the corner, in front of the monstrous dragon carving, open.
A wide set of steps leads into a large chamber to the east, and a passage continues to the southwest into another tunnel.
For Karib:
Thin mattresses of straw covered with badly cured furs form small beds that are haphazardly positioned around the chamber that you peer into. Rats and small lizards scurry through the food scraps and moldy wine skins littering the floor.
A dozen kobolds are contained within the crudely enlarged chamber, but are not being especially alert. They don't seem to notice you or the light that you carry as you pass by.
For Smoke:
The chamber that opens at the bottom of the steps ahead is immense. Looking into it from the dragon shrine, you only see part of the floor and a hanging stalactite.
Rogram listens at the opening to the stairway, hearing only the faint sounds of dripping water, scratching rodents, and scrabbling lizards that have accompanied you throughout the caverns.
Rogram looks at the others, makes a follow me gesture with his head, then starts climbing the stairs. Keeping the trapped stair in mind, he watches each stair carefully in case another is trapped.

Rogram is being impatient again and would likely move first, but sometimes Smoke jumps ahead. If he does, Rogram will follow closely behind.
(( Karib gains 8HP from resting ))

Yevele will bring up the rear, but, will definitely look in the drake's nursery when they get to that area.

Rogram pauses and looks back at Smoke. "Which way?" he mouths. Assuming the tabaxi responds, the half-dwarf will continue in that direction.
Karib, still hanging back, pauses while the leaders make their decision.

With a final cautious glance into the kobold's sleeping quarters, Karib moves forward slowly, nodding to Rogram as he does so.
Smoke takes a step back from the stairs heading to a lower section and whispers. Im not sure whats down there but it seems to be a very large cavern.
Shall we go down to see if there is something down there?
OOC: Isn't that the way we went?
