OOC: Removed 45 gp from Rogram's inventory and 40 gp from Yevele's inventory, let me know if you'd like that to change. Keep in mind you'll need food as well for the horse. Each day of feed only costs 5 cp, but weighs 10 lbs.
Karib will seek an answer to his question. "Food and a little rest await your fullsome answer," he says.
(( If she proves unwilling he will again command a response and use silvery barbs if necessary, followed by an attempt at persuasion ((with advantage), and more commands f necessary. ))
OOC: Whoops! OK, so, oh gracious and forgiving DM, I just looked back at earlier posts to see if it was mentioned how far away Elturel is and read this: "Before he left town, he purchased horses and riding gear for you to make your journey less tiresome. All of their costs have been paid for, and they are being kept at the inn's stables until you are ready to depart." Can we retcon the purchase of the wagon and horse? Pretty please?
OOC: Sure thing, I'll add that gold back in to your character sheets. I was like well hey, if they want to buy their own way I'm not gonna stop 'em.
I'm a little unclear on what Karib is asking of Mondath on this new day. Is he still looking to get an answer to the last question he asked, or did he have other questions in mind?
Mondath, exasperated, answers, "This has been a fun diversion, but the extent of my knowledge of the plan is that Rezmir headed north with the treasure. When the dragons hatched, they'd be fed until Rezmir had plans for them."
Karib nods, "Very well. I'll leave you to your breakfast. I'm sure others will enjoy talking to you as much as I have."
On the way he speaks quietly to the guards, "She probably needs some food, but don't let her get a full night's rest: She's dangerous, powerful and seemingly vindictive. The sooner she's gone from here, the better for everyone."
As he departs the building he wonders if they should in fact take her with them to Elturel.
When he meets the others, he nods in the direction of the building. "I'll be pleased to leave our prisoner behind, but do you think we should bring her with us? This place is not really equipped to handle her."
"I don't think it would be wise to take her with us. Speed is important in our journey, and having that one with us will only slow us down. We need to make sure the governor knows how dangerous she is, and hopefully he will get her to Baldur's Gate quickly where they can better handle her." Yevele says.
"Eh? At the inn, if I'm not mistaken," Escobert the Red tells Rogram. "Tell 'em the Gov'ner sent ye, not like they won't recognize ye lot."
The guards affirm to Karib, "We're under very strict orders not to let her out of our sight until she is transported. We saw her leading the army when they attacked. We know she isn't one to mess with."
Karib smiles and nods, "An keep her tired...no restful night (or days) for her. Understand? If she recovers her strength you may not be able to contain her."
Rogram thanks Escobert and looks at Karib and Yevele. "Are we ready to head north?"
When the three are ready to go, the half-dwarf leads the others to the inn and asks for the horses left for them by Leosin. While not a stranger to riding a horse, Rogram has little experience and is a little worried about the task. "I'm more comfortable on a cart," he says to no one in particular, the thoughts escaping him out of nervousness. When the horses are presented, he mounts one easily enough and tries to get comfortable.
In the monastery, Yevele and the other acolytes were always expected to travel on foot. Although she had been given a quick lesson in horse riding before departing on her journey, the young woman had practically no experience in horse riding, and needed guidance from the stable hands in mounting the horse. But, she tried to follow the lead of her two companions as they headed north toward Eltruel.

OOC: I'm thinking wagon and draft horse. What do you think, Siyaj?
OOC wagon and draft horse is fine.

OOC: Awesome! Thanks. So, I guess Rogram and Yevele should accompany Karib because they need to ask where the horses are.
(( Just for ease, the question from the previous night that went unanswered was "And what, exactly, were you to do with them once hatched?" ))
Mondath, exasperated, answers, "This has been a fun diversion, but the extent of my knowledge of the plan is that Rezmir headed north with the treasure. When the dragons hatched, they'd be fed until Rezmir had plans for them."

While Karib is interrogating Mondrath, Rogram looks for Escobert the Red to ask him where the horses are that Leosin purchased for them to use.
(( @DM: Does this mean she is in fact lying? 🤥))
OOC: No Mondath has enjoyed trying to be as evasive and be as much of an inconvenience as possible ;)

Karib's eyes narrow at the monk's words, relief and guilt combining into an uneasy silence.
With a final brisk nod he turns toward the keep, "One more warning and we can be off," he says.
"Eh? At the inn, if I'm not mistaken," Escobert the Red tells Rogram. "Tell 'em the Gov'ner sent ye, not like they won't recognize ye lot."

He moves to the horse, hoping that it is of a mild disposition, then mounts and turns toward the road to Eltruel.
