Rogram likes this idea. He's been worried about the raider. Despite backtracking, he still draws his sword and holds it at the ready in case danger presents itself as he follows everyone back the way they came.

OOC: Here is the full map of the area that has been explored thus far, with the red square marking the party's current location (prior to moving to the entrance to rest). The raider that you knocked out was securely bound when you left him. Lastly, the kobolds from the description that Rogram is asking about are the kobolds that the party killed prior to disturbing the stirges.

Upon returning large entrance cavern, after the simple enough task of walking up the stairs-turned-ramp in the fungus cavern, you find the unconscious raider still bound tightly. His breathing is regular, but the beating his body has taken still prevents him from regaining consciousness. The light from outside has almost dissipated entirely, leaving only the slimmest glow of light along the entrance.
OOC: Before rolling hit dice, we need only to determine how long the party is resting. A short rest must be a minimum of one hour, but if you wanted to wait for the unconscious man to regain his consciousness you could also say you are resting for that long, and if at least one hour passes without interruption, the hit dice can still be rolled. As a reminder, creatures that are knocked unconscious regain their consciousness in 1d4 hours, so at most it would take him about 3.5 hours to wake up.
Smoke will walk back towards the entrance making sure to look back at every little sound made, just in case.
Sitting down he starts to tend his wounds, cleaning them up a bit while talking This reminds me of a Goliath named Kravek the undying. He got his name because he was unstoppable on the battlefield. Once he was stabbed 7 times in one fight.he winces as he presses a bit to hard on one of his wounds.
After that he got his nickname. He went on to fight many battles taking many more injuries but never being defeated.A force grin enters Smokes face. If you think of that these wounds might not seem that bad.. right?
Its a shame he finally met his match against a giant wyrm. Devoured him whole they said. Some say he lived on inside the beasts belly for days but we will never know. Im sure there arent any wyrms in these caves.
He looks around. Well pretty sure atleast.
Would like to use Smokes tale as a Song of rest to give everyone a 1d6 additional healing. Taking their minds somewhat away from the situation.
For the first time since they met, Rogram is not visibly enthralled by Smoke's story. He appears distracted and a little worried. Once they reach the chamber with the tied-up raider, he moves a little further toward the mouth of the cave and peers into the growing darkness.

Yevele will sit down cross-legged next to the raider, with her long sword laying across her lap. After listening quietly to Smoke's story, the monk will spend the rest of the time meditating, and thinking about the questions that Leosin asked them to find answers to. Where was Rogram's dad, and where was Thia's friend?
She will use a hit die 11 plus Smoke's song of rest: 4

OOC: I was looking to get a specific amount of time for the short rest, but I'll assume it's just the minimum of an hour, and if the party wishes to rest longer after rolling hit dice you can let me know.
Also excellent RP lately from everyone, I always love to see it.

The cavern, and the camp outside its entrance, are silent for the next hour. Staring into the darkness, Rogram sees the dimmest edge of a light in the distance, likely only a single cookfire. The living raider remains unconscious still.
OOC: Characters have each gained the benefits of a short rest. If you wish to roll any hit dice, please do so in your next post (don't forget to add 1d6 for Smoke's song of rest!)

After a little while Smoke gets up again, holding his rapier in one hand. We should get moving. Hopefully they have not found any bodies yet.
He tries to gather his courage and will walk towards the stairs and gaze down. But he wont be the first to go down them again. He looks back to see if the others are ready to go as well.

The stairs at the end of the entrance cavern are still collapsed inward, forming a ramp to the bottom of the 10-foot-ledge toward the pair of paths leading through the fungus.
OOC: The party will need a light source to move any further into the cavern without rendering the characters without darkvision blinded.
Rogram takes a forward position this time, leading or following the leader. He holds his shield on his arm and his sword at the ready. When they reach the bottom of the collapsed stairs, he nods toward the javelin he threw but forgot to pick up. "Someone get that for me." But he's all business, too focused to stop and get the projectile himself.
Yevele will follow Smoke and Rogram. When they get to the edge of the ramp leading down, the monk will ask "Should we wait until he [pointing back at the bound guard] regains consciousness? He might have information that could be useful."
Smoke turns to Yevele He was not helpfull before, i doubt it would be different now.
We should move on, see if anything remains. While he says this motions Rogram to take the lead down the stairs. Smoke will pick up the javelin for him and move up to the front to hand it to him. But then fall back again.
Relying on his darkvision to try and spot anything and checking to see if everything looks like its in the same spot as when they tracked back an hour ago.
Let us hope the rest of the caves are empty.he whispers as they walk
Yevele will light another torch and follow the rest of the party down the stairs, looking briefly back toward the unconscious cultist before descending. 'If he wakes up and gets free, that could come back to haunt us.' the monk thinks.
OOC: Added the javelin back to Rogram's inventory and removed a torch from Yevele's.

Dripping water and a whistling breeze mask your footsteps through the lair of fungus, into the adjoining cavern. You find it still filled with the dead bodies of kobolds and stirges, seemingly in the same state as which you left it.
You close in on the four-way intersection you had seen from the entrance of the chamber earlier. The cavern continues to the left, while to the right the open area narrows to a small tunnel that descends down a set of stairs. Directly ahead of you is a ledge that looks to drop off about 10 feet into a darker area.
Smoke cant help his curiousity and move near the edge of the ledge and look to see if he can spot some lower area down there or if its a chasm leading nowhere.
He looks back to Rogram standing stil as Rogram still tries to listen to the wind.
Smoke will be carefull not to get to close to the edge in case there are loose rocks or unstable terrain.
The floor at the end of the ledge drops down 10 feet to a wide platform, before dropping another 10 feet to a portion of the cave that appears to be a trash dump. Along with normal sorts of refuse, such as broken pottery, rotted baskets, and mouse-chewed rope, there are also items that appear to still have use: discarded clothes, worn boots, tattered books, cracked lamps, and so forth. Viewing this area from the ledge, Smoke also sees tantalizing glints of metal, and parchment.
