((I find with Plan A we rely too much on Murg acting the way we want him to act when one move could easily force the plan to Plan B. I think Plan B would be the easiest to execute and if the goblins in the cave are like the ones we fought before then they will be easy to take down, we just need to make sure we don't bite off more than we can chew at one time. The biggest hick-up we have is that our party lacks a rogue. So I think in the end no matter what our plan is going to end up falling to Plan B in the end, so I think we go straight with B and use Murg to just guide us to the cave and give us as much of a layout of the caves as he can once we get close))
As the team throws the options around, it looks like there is consensus building for a surprise (if possible) attack on the guards, to secure it without an alarm going off if possible, but f not, hold the position around the mouth of the cave and look to take individuals out asap, or allow groups to form and then have Eniwin cast sleep to take them out of the battle in groups.
"Right....it is dangerous, and we may get overwhelmed, but it is the best approach we have. We can't rely on Murg to point out the traps on the path, so we will all have to be on the look out at all times and travel slow, and I would suggest we leave him tied up and gagged far from the cave entrance, but maybe Murg can give us an idea about how open the area near the cave is and whether there will be some cover as we approach or not"

"We can make as many plans as we want." Rashana says from behind. "But we can't anticipate everything single thing that will happen. For me, the less random elements in the plan the better. Also, we still don't how the cave is like. So I agree we should take the guard out if any then sneak in as quiet as we can. Then we will see how it goes from there. We just need to make sure we make as little noise as possible." She scratches her neck and awkwardly laugh. "Hehe, that's just what I think."
"Well im down for the surprise attack, but with all my gear being stealthy will be hard. If we are going that route ill stay in the rear amd watch our backs." Speaking in dwarvish Damian prays and his armour begins to glow a faint aura. "Well i am ready to crack some skulls."
[I am up for the surprise attack at the entrance and i added a +1 to my ac thanks to forge blessing.]
"Well, someone better at knots should secure Murg to a tree, and then lets go.....Rashana, Saravena and I probably have the best chance of stealth in approaching, let us lead and you can follow up" emphasing his readiness by pulling out his javelin, and asking Murg "Time for better information Murg, where exactly are the traps on the trail and how can we avoid them, and don't try and tell me you don't know, or your usefulness will end"
Murg looks up at Tagret eyes pleading, "You'll find the first trap about ten minutes down the trail, it's a pit. So be careful where you walk. The other trap is ten minutes after that, this time a snare. So, I guess, be careful where you walk, again. Is that enough for you?"

Eniwin chimes in, saying she can create Light and she can cast sleep twice, but would leave her with not much in the way of offensive spells after that.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Right, he may be lying, in which case I will kill him if we survive..........." Tagret pauses then looks at Murg one last time "Anything else you want to say before we go?" giving the goblin one more chance to add anything useful or revise a lie {Intimidation check 13 } before turning his back on Murg and heading up the path, with Rashana, Saravena and himself leading...the others following a little behind.
Given what we have been told (assuming that it was not a lie) what sort of perception check do we need to make and do we get any sort of advantage on the basis of Murg's help, noting that Tagret will be looking for both types of traps in the areas that Murg stated they would be, just in case he was telling half truths....
OOC: Damian - what are doing about light - I would suggest that you cast it on an object that can be covered and we use it on the trail at least until the first two traps are found and then reconsider from there.....

As you make your way up the trail, you tread carefully. Murg has informed you of traps along the trail. Yet, you are not certain whether her can be trusted, or for that matter if even remembered the way correctly. Still you feel the need to at least attempt to save Sildar, so you press on towards the caves, despite the potential risks.

OOC: Given Damian has the best Perception modifier by far +5 vs Rashana +3, with Tagret and Saravena at +2 it would make sense for Damian to take the lead with the light as we look for the traps......happy for Tagret to be up their next to him. We should also be on the lookout for any guards that Murg may not have told us about that are in the trees or forest....
Unless there is any objection, Damian and Tagret, Saravena and Rashana, then Eniwin. Tagret will have his javelin out in his hand which he will be using to prod the ground for pitfalls, and will be looking for signs of a snare having been covered for the second
OOC: Given what Murg has stated, is there any modifier or advantage to perception rolls? As we travel, what do you want us to roll for (perception, stealth etc)?
With Damian being the most perceptive of all the group, he leads the way. On the way, you notice tracks along the trail. Looking at the tracks you determine that at some point, within recent days, two bodies have been dragged through the dirt. There is evidence of goblins having walked this way as well. It appears that Murg has been honest, at least, in that this trail is used by goblins in the area.
Continuing along the trail, searching the ground for more clues or signs of traps, after a ten-minute walk, Damian spots a snare trap. Having found the trap you continue safely on around the trap, avoiding it. After another ten minutes on the trail, Damian spots the signs of a pit that has been camouflaged by leaves, branches, and twigs. Once again, you safely avoid the trap, as you continue on.
