Leovold is extremely angry and annoyed at circumstance and Krash's inability to control himself. " I thought you were a great warrior! I repsected you, but loom at you now. Attacking women and children. You masters could not be more disappointed." Leovold charges at Krash with and echo drawing his axe.
Facebreaker the boar turns and drives its tusks into Leovold. (20 damage)
Leovold, filled with rage, unleashes a flurry of attacks into the wereboar; finally stopping its rampage. (40 damage)
Crowds break up as they run from the wild beast. A lone figure is brave enough to approach the aftermath. It is Linene Graywind of the Lionshield Coster.
"What a night." she sighs, before pulling out an over-sized two-handed mace from behind her back. A weakened Facebreaker gets up once more and charges towards her, but is met with a downward slam from the giant hammer.
...
Villagers eventually calm the fires of the abandoned inn. Facebreaker the wereboar is dragged off by Linene and her workers to whereabouts unknown. Leovold and Dusty assist with assessing the damage, before joining the rest of the community in the Stonehill Inn. Anxious chatter is heard throughout.
Leovold gives a bold and heroic speech about how they will come together and push through this. The people of this town will not be broken by a dragon. No we will break them along with anything that tries to take our home in these mountains!
Nimue rejoins the group and asks where little piggy is at. Upon being filled in on the story she lets out a loud gasp. "We need to cure him soon but do not fear, while you were playing heroes, I was getting to the bottom of this problem..." She will have Magis follow the goblin on his way from his tent into town. She will make sure that this discussion does not happen where the goblin will see her.
She will grab any of the guards, specifically Linene Graywind if she can, as well as the rest of the party and begin to tell the evidence she has collected.
Nimue begins by saying "As you know, since we have been here we have done what we can to get to help the town. Our group has saved children from fires and dwarves from slimes but someone has gone out to try and tarnish our name. As you all just witnessed, Facebreaker has been cursed and I have reason to believe that there is more to this than just a random chain of events.
On our way a few days ago to the Ranch to help Big Al, we encountered a goblin merchant. He lured us in and showed us his goods to be sold that were of surprisingly high quality for an unprotected merchant. With our distracted, he signaled a wereboar to attack us, most likely in an attempt to kill us in order to take our goods and add it to his wares to be sold. Whilst the wereboar viciously attacked us, the goblin merchant did nothing but watch on. Probably scheming on who to sell our goods to. But do to a quick volley of attacks, we were able to put the creature down, however not before the curse was transferred. I bet he had more goons to signal but he was slightly intimidated by our quick attacks."
Nimue flips her coat and advances the story "Continuing onto the ranch, we found horses and a farm that had been devastated by orc attacks. Although we arrived too late to save them all, we were able to save Big Al and slay the orc leader. Looking into his pocket we found a note most likely in correspondence with the goblin on where to attack and the plan of action." Nimue pulls out the note and passes it around. She reads the note as translated to her by Dusty.
"Mountain Toe Gold Mine Woodland Manse Neverwinter Wood DRAGON"
"Does this not sound familiar? Down to the dragon attack that just happened in Phandalin!" Nimue looks to the people she is talking to and says in a slightly lower tone "And I believe this goblin signaled the dragon to attack as a white dragon would do more than just start some fires. I have had one of my Raven's follow him and it seems that he is moving back into town trying to either loot what he can or even worse, start another round of fires to signal for another attack! Who knows what might come. Could be orcs, wereboars or maybe he will signal the dragon to come back."
Nimue will keep Magis invisible and following the goblin on his way into town. Once the goblin is in position in the alleyway, she will make sure Magis is prepared to attack from invisibility. Nimue makes a dramatic closing over her eyes and brings her head down. She will look in through Magis's eyes to make sure everything is in order. She will then say to the group "My raven has just informed me that the goblin is doing something suspicious, quickly we must hurry before his plan comes into action!"
Nimue leads the group around the corner and lets out a sound to get the goblin's attention. Once the goblin throws the torch at a building "Stop him! He trying to light the fire back up to signal for another attack! We must kill him!"
She cast a level 2 inflict wounds with Magis from invisbility
"Mountain Toe Gold Mine! Yes...and the wereboar....we must alert Halia Thronton right away!" a man says, before being alerted of the goblin's presence in town. "HURRY! BEFORE MORE DAMAGE IS DONE!" he shouts, gathering several others to run to the scene.
(Linene Graywind is nowhere to be found.)
Nimue and a group of witnesses arrive on the scene. They watch as the goblin prepares to start a fire, but Nimue quickly puts an end to his life.
She rushes to the body of the goblin and searches him for anything (she does not expect to find anything but is more of putting on a show for the guards).
Nimue then turns back to the guards and says "We must be diligent. I am not sure if he was working alone or not and there may be more planned attacks coming."
After reassuring the guards that the goblin plot seems quelled for the night, Nimue heads back to the goblins tent looking for his trade goods. She knows that they are possibly still trapped.
Magis successfully disarms the trap. Opening the pack, they find some of the wares from earlier. Some of them are missing; possibly bought or traded.
Philter of Love
Potion of Animal Friendship
Ammunition +1 (5 rounds)
1200 gp
After rummaging a bit more, they find at the bottom of the pack:
Wand of the War Mage, +1 Wand, uncommon (requires attunement by a Spellcaster) While holding this wand, you gain a +1 bonus to spell attack rolls. In addition, you ignore half cover when making a spell attack.
...
After exiting the tent, Nimue sees a young girl with pale white skin and drooping eyes looking at her.
"That's a nice necklace you're wearing, Jorna! Hehehehe~" she says, before running off in the direction of the town center.
Nimue adds the items to her pack upon exiting the tent she seems startled by the little girl this late at night. Nimue asks her "Where are you heading at this hour?"
Nimue gets annoyed quickly at the girl for ignoring her so she sends Magis and Numquam ahead to catch here. They will fly in front of her in an attempt stop here.
Leovold simply seems thankful that the goblin problem was ended swiftly. "These few days have been restless, and somehow I can't feel they will get much better." Turning to his retainers. "It seems the town has become a bit of a danger and a hazardous workplace. I know there much work for myself to do, and any of you willing to stay, but I fully understand if some of you wish to return to the tribe till I can sort out this village. It might put me at east to know you are safe there."
Nimue calls out to the little girl, but she seems to disappear into the night. It is getting dark, especially on the outer edges of town. Despite the ravens' darkvision, they are unable to find her.

"Orc attacks....dragons...wereboars....and now a goblin plotting against us. It's no longer safe in Phandalin!" Shouts come from the crowd.
Dazlyn and Norbus approach the front of the gathering and use Levold to translate for them.
"There is an old dwarven fortress called Axeholm 15 miles south of here. It should have ample defenses to protect us from the dragon. It is unsafe to enter now, but with the help of these adventurers, we could eliminate the threats inside and secure it as our own." Norbus says.
"One thing at a time." Halia Thornton says. "Don-Jon Raskin should arrive by morning. We've heard of disturbances coming from the Mountain Toe Gold Mine and they add up with this wereboar attack. With an assault that costly from only one intruder, we need to put an end to any possible sources of lycanthropy as soon as possible. Don-Jon was to go alone, but we can no longer risk that. The threats seem greater than we imagined. We will need the help of these adventurers if we are to survive."
Halia turns to the heroes. "Gather your bearings and rest for tonight. Please aid Don-Jon on his journey tomorrow. The villagers lives are dependent on your help."
...
Korvis, Torin, and Vitna meet with Leovold. After some discussion, Korvis decides: "No, Sir Leovold. These people need our help, and we know that you would do everything in your power to assist them. We will help the villagers prepare the move towards Axeholm in your absence."
Leovold tears up slightly. " I could not wish for better people to support me. It means a lot to me to have you helping." He takes a deep breath and wipes his eyes before standing up a bit straighter. "Looks like I will have a gold mine to deal with tomorrow, and maybe we can get this fortress cleared out in the same day, who knows. I surely don't want any more were creatures terrorizing us."

Nimue hears the cries of the public and before the night is done she tries to locate an armor vendor where she can buy studded leather. She does not have to purchase it tonight, but she wants to know where to go in the morning. Nimue is exhausted after a long day and goes into a trance for four hours and gains her long rest. She then spends the next 4 hours using Magis and Numquam to search the town for the whereabouts of Facebreaker.
"With all due respect sir, according to our information, it will take several days for the villagers to prepare the journey towards Axeholm. It may be better to return here after tomorrow's mission." replies Korvis.
While all of the shops are closed due to the panic, Vitna is able to tell Nimue that such armor can usually be purchased at the Lionshield Coster.
Magis and Numquam scout the area for Facebreaker, but find no trace of him. However, they find tracks learning north into the Triboar Trail that suggest that Linene and some of her workers could have taken a prisoner out of town.
With one event happening after the other, the adventurers return to their rooms in the Stonehill inn exhausted.
The adventurers have gained 750 xp.
1200 gp was found in the goblin merchant's pack. (ooc: 1200/4 = 300 gp each if split.)
The party has long rested.

He sets out a piece of studded leather on top of some of the boxes. (45 gp cost)
Nimue also sees a peculiar cloak sticking out of one of the boxes he has just opened to receive the armor.
"That's...a specialty item..." the man says, quickly shutting the box on top of it. "With Linene out of town I'm not sure if I have the authority to sell it..."
