Eldeth has been looking over the edge and watching Aimon's descent. After a little bit, she winces and says, "Ouch." She begins to pull the rope up so she can the knots into the rope so it is easier to climb.
After you Aimon speaks, the creature says something to the others, and they all stop frolicking and look to you. The one that waved cups a hand to its ear. It seems that the hissing and bubbling from the magma drowned out your voice.
Aimon steps a little closer, but not so close that the heat really gets to him, keeps the smile on his face and repeats what he said before, louder but doesn't want to yell in case that's interpreted as anger.
"Hello. Sorry to interrupt. Is this the way to Darklake?"
Eldeth ties her knots with the help of Jimjar and sends the rope back down.
The creature that waved to you shrugs and says in a high raspy voice, "I don't know what the Darklake is. Do you want to play with us?" It gestures to the others in the magma who promptly begin carousing in the molten stone.
Once the rope is down, Sarith quickly descends. He falls the last ten feet and lands on his heels. As soon as his feet touch the ground, he unsheathes the two rapier on his back in a swift and smooth motion and approaches Aimon.
In order to descend the rope, make an Athletics Check.
Caelynn has chosen to keep an eye out for any threats coming from the tunnel behind them rather than watch Aimon's descent. She glances back just in time to see Sarith disappear over the edge. She spends a minute making sure Stool is secure in her bag, then follows him down.
"I would love to but my kind are not able to swim in your magma. We are not as strong as you."
He says, more quietly to Sarith, "careful with the rapiers. These creatures don't appear to be aggressive. And besides, however talented you may be with those blades, I think you would be at a supreme disadvantage with them as you tried to walk on lava."
He turns back to look at the creatures playing in the magma.
If you roll a 10 or higher, you make it down the rope without a problem.
Sarith says to Aimon, "They look like magmin, but they seem... more intelligent."
One of the creatures says, "Are you sure? It's a lot of fu-un." To prove its point, it scoops up some magma and tosses it at you with a giggle. Attack: 11 Damage: 8 points of fire damage.
Aimon side steps the glob of magma, watching it sizzle against the wall of the tunnel.
“This is not going to end well,” he says. “We need to get everyone down the rope and down the tunnel before these magma kids decide to get even friendlier.”
He shouts up to those still climbing down, “Time is now of the essence. Hurrying would be appreciated.”
He holds the rope steady for the others but mostly concentrates on avoiding more magma.
After everyone arrives in the tunnel below, Jimjar removes a dagger from his belt. He takes a moment to aim, and then he throws the dagger at the rope above. It hisses through the air as it cuts the rope about 80 feet up. The rope and dagger fall to the ground, and he retrieves them.
When the creatures see the rest of the group, one of them swims a little closer and exclaims, "Oooh, what are you?" It points excitedly at Trill.
"I suggest we get going and talk while we walk." Aimon says to the others. "The Big Melty Rock Kids here seems nice enough but they like to toss lava around too."
He starts to move down the tunnel.
"It was really nice to meet you all. Enjoy your swim," he says to the magma creatures.
As the party begins to move onward in the tunnel, one of the creatures waves goodbye. The sweltering heat from th magma makes it hard to breath. Sweat stings your eyes as you move on. Thankfully, the tunnel has a smaller tunnel breaking away from it after half an hour of walking. You move into the offshoot and cooler air greets you. Jimjar leads the party for almost an hour when he calls for a 10 minute break to recover from the heat. During this break, Caelynn and Zach are able to gather enough food for the party.
Jimjar leads the party on after the break. The tunnel you are following twists and winds in random directions, but it steadily leads downward.
After a few hours of walking through the tunnel, an earthquake shatters the silence of the corridor. This earthquake is exponentially more powerful than the previous ones you have felt. As the party falls down from the powerful vibrations, the stone beneath you groans and buckles. With a bout of panic, you watch the floor beneath you collapse. The party and what once was the floor fall a short distance before striking a slope below. You tumble and slide along with boulders down this natural ramp for about 50 feet before coming to rest on a flat surface. The sound of the earthquake echoes on after it quits abruptly as it started. Dust hangs in the air, and the sound of an occasional falling pebble punctuates the silence around you. Everyone needs to make a Dexterity Saving Throw.
Caelynn waves back to the creature with a smile. "They seemed sweet, if a little overenthusiastic with the lava," she comments to no one in particular.
She yelps in surprise as the floor crumbles, sending them tumbling downwards. "Is everyone okay?" She calls as soon as things have settled down.
Aimon tries to roll to safety when the floor collapses, reaching out to the sides of the tunnel to steady himself and find anything to cushion his fall.
Earth slides seem tame after navigating the deck of a ship rolling across storm tossed waves. Trill nimbly handles the sudden change in where the floor is.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Jimjar: 12

Anyone who rolls a 14 or lower takes 16 bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone and pinned underneath boulders. A roll of 15 or higher takes half damage and is not knocked prone and pinned.
As the dust begins to clear, moans of pain meet your ears. Only Topsy and Trill seem to have not been trapped underneath the rubble. If you want to escape, you need to make a Strength Check higher than 14.
