Alton blinks. "I guess I'm a tad out of sorts after my blunders already." He mutters. "...Sorry, Symon." The halfling gives himself a thorough shake as he resumes his task of checking for traps as they move along.

"Ah, nae think of it friend Alton," Symon say with a shrug, "we all have uncertain moments at times, why I myself am a bit forgetful at the most inopportune moments. AAs for why I have the grapple, I am experimenting, trying to come up with a way to make it levitate on command, with a rope attached of course, but I seem to have forgotten to acquire one of those, a rope that is. I know that most scribbles like high places and so I have assumed that to reach those interesting bits of magic I might have to do some scrambling about high places. Hmmm, I am curious though, why do dweomer dabblers like heights? Maybe because they are lighter than air, well most of them anyway, some are indeed very dense, but...ah, hem. Sorry, can't help myself sometimes. Just seem to wander off on tangential travels that can be a bit obscure to those who aren't interested in The Arts. Well, not everybody wants to risk beening exploded in an experiment that failed to deliver an anticipated outcome, that or turn into a chicken with teeth. Oophs, there I go again, sorry."

Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
As you are crawling through the area, you reach an opening. Sacks of crates of looted provisions are piled up in the south end of this large cave. A large opening leads north down a set of natural stairs. In the middle a large fire smolders on hot coals. Inside the room is a bugbear and two goblins lounging, with the bugbear holding the chain of a wolf. You are in the back of a south passage that is blocked by two rocks so they haven't seen you yet.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Peeking over the rocks at the goblinoids, Darius realized they still had the element of surprise; they could probably take this group, provided there were no reinforcements.
Turning to the others, he silently pointed with two fingers on one hand towards his eyes, then pointed the fingers toward the far north opening. Then using both hands, he put his index fingers up vertically, next to each other; moving his right hand so that his right finger formed a horizonal half-circle moving away from the other finger, he stopped the motion, then made claw-like poses with his hands, with their palms facing each other. Finally, he drew the "claws" together so that his fingers interlaced, as if trapping the small space left between them.
Not bothering to check if he was entirely understood by his comrades, he then attempted to sneak out from his position along the wall of the cave, trying to reach the far opening.
(( Stealth Check if needed: 7 ... hopefully he doesn't screw this up... ))
Alton rolls his eyes a little at the 'silent' orders, but he got the gist. He puts his sword and thieves' tools away, drawing his bow... and hiding himself as he tries to see a path around to the other side of the little cavern without getting spotted by going the opposite way to Darius, so that way if he's caught... Alton at least won't be.

Symon will not move from the cover he’s behind, a nervous twitch flickering across his visage as it settles into a frown of grim determination, which is spoiled by being a bit ridiculous looking. One might guess he wasn’t very good at being grim.

Darius groaned. It figured he'd have blown it. Breaking into a run, he raced toward the far end of the cave, positioning himself between the monsters and their exit.
"No reinforcements for you," he spat.
(( No idea how large this cave is. Darius' primary concern is preventing any of the creatures from getting away via the other passage, so he's going to run to stand in front of it, and will Dash if he needs to. He's going to just run in a straight line, so if he has movement left he may do something else too, in which case I'll make another post. ))
MOVE: Darius will move to just in front of the far opening to block any escapes ACTION:Dash? If needed FREE: Draw both swords REACTION: If a creature somehow manages to run past Darius, he'll make an opportunity attack
