Krom thinks for a while and then answers to Rhogar "Yes, yes, Rhogar there is an hymn that allows its target to understand all languages and also permits communication between two or more subjects. It's a taxing hymn, but I will be able to renew it a couple of times, maybe more. It lasts one hour and any of us can be its target." The dwarf looks at each party member "Who wish to understand the tongue of giants and communicate with them?"
"Perhaps you should take custody of the Professor Mr. Onc." Kazri replies to Rekuberk. "Mr. Nimbatuul does have a point. It would be prudent for us to be able to understand our enemy." Kazri says to the party. "We should depart whenever you are ready Master Krom."

Krom nods to Rhogar "I agree with your suggestions Rhogar" the dwarf turns towards Kazri, Chill and Rekuberk "Let me know who of you would like to be granted Moradin's blessing. You do not need to decide right now, but inform me tomorrow morning." Krom says to Kazri "I have to commune with the All-Father in order to channel that blessing with an hymn, so I will need to rest." The dwarf turns towards the Dragonborn "Yes, Rhogar, I will be able to contact Angajuk when we are ready for pick up." The dwarf continues to speak "We could rest at Angajuk's bell, inside the ruined house, and travel to Auril's Fortress the next day or we could push forward to the island now and find a place to rest there. Both plans are fine for me."
"Indeed Mr. Nimbatuul. I have also heard that Giants and Dragons are not on friendly terms, to put it mildly. Though, I would be interested if that would apply to you. We shall find out." Kazri replies to Rhogar. "Very well Master Krom, we all could use some rest." Kazri says to Krom, then she addresses the whale. "I would like to thank you for your hospitality, and your assistance as well. If you do not mind, I believe that we would like to retire, so that we are ready to visit this giant fortress." "Perhaps. I do somewhat miss the lessons with my father. He just must never learn of the good Professor or I do not think I or my mother will ever see him again." Rekuberk muses as he moves to find a spot with the others to rest for a time, not talking much more as he recalls what the orb had told them.
Angajuk answers Rhogar. "Yes, there is a ruined dock that I can take you to. Be wary though. Iskra the roc patrols the island. It is usually asleep during the day. I will try and bring you there during the day to lessen the chance we encounter it. Some of my scars are from the creature, it is mighty. But I am willing to return to aid you. I can bring you back to my bell if you need to rest and then take you to the island."
You return to the bell and rest (Long rest) and then ride Angajuk to the island.
Another day, much like the previous weather wise. The ride under the sea is uneventful.
As Angajuk surfaces he explains he approaches the island from the south. Heavy fog covers the sea and as you get closer to the island the fog through which you’ve been traveling thins enough for you to see fifty-foot-high cliffs of solid ice ahead. Jutting out of the water off the coast are the bare, weather-beaten masts of sunken ships.
Ahead, you can make out what appears to be a partially shattered dock carved out of ice. As you get closer, it becomes obvious that the dock was made for giants.
"There are several shipwrecks around the island if you are interested in seeing them up close." Angajuk explains.
The ruined ice dock and the shipwrecks in the vicinity are the only features of the island immediately visible. Fog prevents you from seeing the island’s other features at a distance. The dock is made out of ice and built it to endure, yet sections of it have broken away and have fallen into the sea. Because the dock looks to have been scaled for giant longships, as you are approaching by water you must climb to reach the top of it. Those without magic or climbing gear can do so with a successful DC 15 Strength (Athletics) check.
You can long rest and then roll a DC15 Athletics check to climb if you don't use magic or climbing gear.
Chill has a natural climbing speed so no roll needed from him, but he can certainly Help others
(I don't suppose a grappling hook will suffice to avoid needing the check. Heh)
"I tempting option, Great Angajuk. It is doubtful the giants have stripped them entirely of things of use. But even so, its best we linger on this island for as least as possible if we are to lower the chances of meeting this Roc of yours."Rhogar admits with a soft chuckle to his voice towards the end. Soon after, the sight of the docks has Rhogar nearly fully enraptured by its size alone. Gorrah's mental nudges promptly brings the dragonborn back to reality, and the problem set before them.
In lieu of alerting the giant's to their presence in taking a more aggressive approach, Rhogar roots around in both pack and mystical satchel, producing a length of silk rope, as well as one of hempen, tying it fast, before affixing a grappling hook to an end. "There. At the very least, that should help a little. Lady Kazri, if you wish to do the honors?"He offers the combined ropes to the paladin. "I will go up last, for an emergency, I may have some.. options. Both magical and-..."He holds out a hand off to the side, and not too unlike Chill, extends his talons. "The mundane."

The dwarf points at the shipwrecks "I agree with Rhogar, we should try to stay on this island as least as possible, but in case of emergency those shipwrecks could be used as temporary shelters."
"It does not look like an easy climb" says Krom looking at the giant-sized docks. "But this time", continues with a big smile on his face, "it will not end like Gnomengarde." The dwarf takes out from his backpack a climber's kit. After spending a few moments to adjust the climbing equipment and harness he says to Rhogar "I can take those combined ropes and affix them as soon as I'm up." After receiving a reply from the Dragonborn, Krom touches Kazri's shoulder chanting an hymn of Guidance and then proceeds to climb up. As soon as he is up, Krom will affix the grappling hook to a suitable place and will do his best to help the rest of the group.

Rhogar nodded along in agreement to Krom, and couldn't help chuckling at the reminder. Apart from that, he shrugs and just offers it to the dwarf had Kazri not already done so, and seemed to watch as the dwarf began his ascent. Though he'd nod absently at Kazri and Chill's assertions as well, he still waited a bit Kazri, Rekuberk, and Krom were at the top. Prior to their arrival there though, Gorrah is mentally urged to fly up ahead, hugging the walls close in her ascent to the top. From there, she was find a spot to comfortable observe things from atop the docks while the others made the climb.
Then when it came to his turn, a quick word in draconic meant gaining the mystical guidance of Vixix before making the climb. The same guidance that he would give to Rekuberk just prior, and hold on to until Half-Orc was with the others.
When Kazri reaches the top she looks around. At the back of the dock, giant-sized steps climb up and out of sight into the fog. A 20-foot-wide path made from bricks of ice leads away but she can't see much more than that due to the obscuring fog.
A grappling hook can be used to secure the rope but doesn't grant advantage to the climb. But everyone can get advantage as Chill is able to help each of you in turn and Rhogar can give Guidance to each person in turn that needs it.
"With that fog it's not going to be easy to find the Fortress of Auril." says Krom as he looks around while securing the grappling hook. "At least we will have some kind of cover as we search for it."
Kazri sees that the “coast” is clear, and she will help the others get up. She will keep an eye on the north side, for any sign of movement.

With Chill helping and the blessings of Vixix on those who need it the group is able to climb up. Even Oli can be hauled up with ropes and you all soon stand on the top, the path of ice bricks disappears into the fog. From what you can see the path leads deeper into the island.
"Krom, I think the best idea is to follow this pathway. Having lived on the island of Chult I can tell you that no one builds a road like this on an island unless it goes directly from the docks to somewhere important. In this case, most likely the fortress we seek. Seems the best way to start to me. I'll take the lead."
Chill ranges out in front of the others by about 40 feet and begins to follow the road.
