"Hmn... A fair enough of wish, and one that should be granted, I would imagine." Rhogar switches into a less tense stance, but kept a wary eye on the Giant, if only for appearance sake. "But what would be your opinion, Rekuberk? For compared to most of us, I suspect you would know such kinds of codes of honor better..."He then looks askance in thought for a moment. "Actually... wasn't your father of the mage persuasion?"

"I agree with Rhogar, a warrior's death should granted if this Giant asks for it." says Krom as Kazri explains the Giant's wish and the dragonborn states his opinion on the matter. The dwarf lowers his hammer as he finishes to speak.
“It is decided, brave warrior. I swear by my god that I will grant your wish. Please, tell me, how should I perform my part? I promise that I will make it quick.” Says Kazri solemnly.

Through the heart so I may pass to the halls of Thrym.
"Very well." Says Kazri with a heavy heart. "I pray to my God that you go to the afterlife that you deserve." The Paladin holds the Dragonslayer Sword firmly with both hands, she brings it high, then plunged into the Frost Giants heart. "May Helm aid your journey to the halls of your god noble warrior."

Rhogar solemnly watched the send off with an unflinching focus. Only when the deed is done and the giant lied truly dead would he bow his head and close his eyes in a moment of respect. "It is sometimes easy to forget as an adventurer -- would-be heroes, that not all ends faced on our journeys are of the necessary... evil or righteous good variety."He quietly admits, before looking to Kazri. "... And not to ruin the moment, Lady Kazri, but what did he say of our target's location? And did he give any warnings about what we might expect to face to retrieve it?"

Krom, holding Mordain's holy symbol with both hands, silently watches the send off. "May the All-father guide you to the halls of your kin." murmurs Krom. "Wise words Rhogar." adds the dwarf as the dragonborn finishes to speak. After a couple of minutes of silence, Krom points at the door the Giant was guarding and says "Shall we check that door too? I'll help if we are going to open it."

Kazri explains to Rhogar that the Codicil is downstairs, and that only one has to pass fours tests in order to open the vault. "We should investigate the door behind the giant." If everyone agrees, she will try to open the door with Krom and Rek's help.

Pushing open the door at the back of the room you find a pile of treasure. Thousands of coins as well as other items.
1,350 gp, 4,400 sp, and 7,800 cp
Four gold rings sized for giants
A giant-sized shield made of white dragon scales
A 2-foot-tall, 50-pound, chipped statuette of Thrym (the evil frost giant god) made of ice that doesn’t melt.

Called back to the room Chill stops in wonder at the dead Giant and the room of treasure. "I heard no battle, only conversation in a language I did not understand. You have been busy I see. I'll check the room then."
"A fair suggestion. Speaking of precautions." Rhogar pulls out his [Tooltip Not Found], and saying the literal magic words, the bubble towards the end would begin to faintly glow. "By the way, Lady Kazri? You said four test, correct? Did the giant at all mention what they might entail?" He asks somewhat offhandedly, as his gaze stayed largely focused on scanning the new room.

Rhogar checks the room with his wand looking for the telltale signs of magic. The statute has a faint glow because the ice won't melt but other than that there is nothing magical in the treasure.
"It looks like that the giant was guarding their treasure room." says Krom as Kazri opens the door revealing the pile of coins and the other items. "Those rings and that shield are well crafted, but unfortunately they are too big for us." The dwarf points at the pile of coins "We could use some of those coins as I fear that we almost used all of our gold." Krom pauses before adding "And I personally could use some as basic components for my rituals." "I am too curious about those four tests, but I do not worry as I'm confident that we will be able to pass them without too many issues." says Krom with a big smile.
"Yes Mr. Nimbatuul. My apologies. The Giant said that only one who passes Auril’s four tests—the Tests of Cruelty, Endurance, Isolation, and Preservation—can open the vault." Kazri turns to Krom. "I hope you are right Master Krom. We shall find soon enough." She helps Krom carry/store whatever the party is taking from the room.

"Indeed we shall. For better or worse as well, there appears to be nothing magical among those treasures.So..", Said Rhogar before trialing off, still frowning since the mention of the first test and the implications that came with it. He then offers his bag of holding to help with collection of everything else that was possible. "To the stairs, then? After taking a few moments to collect his share of gold coins, Krom says to Rhogar "I agree, the sooner we get the Codicil the better." "I do not like the name of those tests, especially the first one." adds Krom as he exits the room.
