"Lady Kazri!"Both Rhogar and Gorrah rush to the paladin's side. And without bother to ask as usual, the Dragonborn wastes no time in holding a hand over the worse of her wounds and uttering a draconic incantation. In moments her injuries are covered in a familiar golden mist as the magic worked to repair the damage done.

"Lass, we know you are strong, but facing a huge yeti like that alone was not a good idea." says Krom as he rushes towards Kazri's side. As he sees that her wounds have been healed by Rhogar, he moves next to the yeti and says to Rekuberk "Give me an hand here lad, let's move this creature inside so that we can close the door."

Adrenaline is still rushing through Kazri, and she is still breathing heavily. She feels two bolts wiz pass her, then Rekuberk comes out of nowhere, and cut the huge monster down with his flaming sword, then it drops dead in front of her. She is still processing the events that just unfolded. Still dazed. "Apologies everyone. I... I did not believe there would be any threats to our position, and I just wanted to double check... Again, apologies for the lapse in my judgement." It takes her another moment, and she goes to help move the creature inside.

Rhogar opened and closed his mouth several times, failing to find the 'right' words, before sighing softly and shaking his head. It's then that Gorrah alights on his shoulder and following a rather intense stare down between the pair, he huffs and crosses his arms. "After that last test, I suppose... none of us really have are full faculties. So! Best we be a bit more mindful of each other going forward." He asserts while others sought to affix the door back into place. Just as soon as it is back in place, his gaze goes back to the stairway, and with a look of grim determination adds, "Let's get back and see to the vault. Chill steps out into the darkness and clears the area. No other threats are seen by the sharp eyed tabaxi.
Moving the body allows the others to close and secure the door. They gather together and move back downstairs after catching their breath from the close call.
Back downstairs, with the whole party now present, you move into the entryway for the vault that is supposed to hold the codical. It is an anvil-shaped room with a door set into the far wall. Flanking the door are bas-reliefs of two male frost giants that have been defaced, their features chipped away. Newer carvings above the door depict the glowering heads of an owl, a wolf, and a goat. With the whole party gathered in the room the door opens on its own and leads to the next room.
Arranged about this room are four tablets of ice, each ten feet tall, seven feet wide, and one foot thick. They sit upright in stands that are also carved from ice. Script has been chiseled into the surface of each tablet. Another door stands in the middle of the far wall.
The inscriptions on the four ice tablets, in Common, spell out the tenets of Auril’s faith:
Cruelty. “Compassion makes you vulnerable. Let cruelty be the knife that keeps your enemies at bay.”
Endurance. “Exist as long as you can, by whatever means you can. Only by enduring can you outlast your enemies.”
Isolation. “In solitude you can understand and harness your full potential. Depending on others makes you weak.”
Preservation. “Every flake of snow is unique, and that which is unique must be preserved.”
The doorway to the room to the south is also open and if you look inside you see that his chamber has a domed ceiling engraved with a giant snowflake. Two caryatids depicting a towering woman stand on either side of a door in the south wall. In the middle of the room is a five-foot-tall, claw-shaped lectern with a white-covered book resting on it.
Krom, shield and hammer at the ready, carefully steps into the vault preparing himself to battle whatever guardian may be inside. Not finding any apparent opponent, the dwarf moves towards each tablets and shakes his head as he finishes to read their contents. "Nonsense." The dwarf then indicates with his war hammer the door at the south and the white-covered book "The Codicil, we have finally found it." He then turns towards Rhogar asking "Do you see any magic around it, any magical traps?" The mist clouding the dwarf's mind seems for the moment to be kept at bay as he speaks and acts as he usually used to.
As Krom goes into the last room, Kazri stays behind him, to make sure there are no surprises here. (Just in case there is any trickery, she makes sure that Krom is within her Aura of Protection. Just in case.)

"Of that I'm not entirely so sure."Rhogar commented in response to Krom's reaction to the other tablets. However, short of being pressed for answers, the Bronze fails to elaborate before the dwarf's questioning prompted the Dragonborn to pull out the wand.
"Would be an odd thing to bother with such protections within the room itself, least said traps potentially ruin the contents of the vault. But it does not hurt to be curious, if not cautious." With that, he uttered the command and opened himself to its magic to better view the room. He relays what he sees, and if nothing stands out as concerning, then took the first steps to head over and retrieve the Codicil.
(S/N: Forgot to take account rolling for charges, but it's been several days, so all should be back to full. And if not, the wand still had at least one charge anyhow.)

Chill and Rhogar both check the room, the lectern and the codical with their own special talents. Nothing is found within, no magical aura and no traps of any kind.
The Codicil of White is a tall, thin volume bound in white ermine fur over seasoned boards of white pine and sealed with a clasp and lock of tarnished silver. The book is cold to the touch, and the fur is worn about the edges from use. The twenty-seven pages within are of vellum painted with silver gilt on the outer edges. The whole is sewn to a leather binding with strips of sinews, making it quite durable.
Rekuberk cleans his blade on the yeti before moving to follow after the others, staying close to Kazri as did not want her to be hit with anymore surprises. As before once his blade is free of blood the flames are summoned once more. "Should we destroy it?"
Chill gasps at Rekuburk's words and then yells "No!" as he then bursts out laughing. "No silly! We need that thing. It has the verse or song or whatever it is that is needed to enter Caves of Hunger. We can't destroy it."
Krom rushes towards Rekuberk "No, no do not destroy it!" says as he reaches the half-orc. The dwarf calms himself and says "When we are out of this place, I will attempt an hymn of identification to see if this item has hidden properties beside the spell to open the way to the Caves of Hunger." Krom turns to Rhogar "In the meanwhile, would you mind to take it? I already feel the fog returning to cloud my mind."
Rhogar just retreated half step and stared wide-eyed at Rekuberk following the suggestion. Though a touch slow to recover, he'd gesture to Chill by way of agreement, and only breath a sigh of relief when the Half-Orc at least lowered the blade well away from the book.
"Hmn.... As you wish, Master Krom. Though I cannot say I'm exactly eager, repository of knowledge though it may be. There's something... odd about it." He said upon picking up and studying the outer cover for a moment or two. With a final shake of his head, the book finds its way into the Dragonborn's bag of holding as he adds, "Do let our waterborn friend be aware of our readiness to depart and -- oh no. I hope Duchess is alright as well. She must be worried sick by now. We should really hurry back, assuming Angajuk can return swiftly enough."

"Unless we want to explore the rest of this castle. Though probably best not to."
"Not much more to see from what I can recall save the roost. And I'd rather we be on our way than deal with that Roc, resting though it may be at the moment."Rhogar admits while following along. Though it took him a few moments to react, having been staring worriedly after the Dwarf as he'd once more sleep away from them.
