"Kazri, that mind flayer is dangerous. His people hunt other sentient races to use them as food or slaves." says Krom "If freed they will only cause more trouble."
"Duly noted." Kazri replies with grave expression. "I have heard these creatures are truly evil, and I would not have hesitated to destroy it if it had lifted a finger against any of us. However..." She trails off. "We should try to locate Ms. Harpell."

Chill moves about the room and checks the doors. The two side doors on the east and west are quiet. The north double doors the sounds of work, metal clanging and shouts of duergar can be heard. Nothing distinct can be heard of the words but they sound like people working. The double door that was indicated to lead to the priests chambers has an odd sound, as if someone was chiseling on stone.
Chill is very perceptive and little gets past him. On the very eastern wall Chill finds some scrapes, so small others would miss them, to indicate there may be a door here. And sure enough, taking a careful look he does find a door concealed in the wall.
No traps are found and any locks are easily bypassed by Chill.
Dreck is quick to point out that the torture chamber is that direction and that may be a way for Xaradok to move between it and the temple without going through the forge.
Krom pats the tabaxi on the back "Nice find Chill." The dwarf changes his grip on his shield and hammer and pointing at the secret door, says to the rest of the group "It's time to visit the torture chamber. If we hurry we may able to free Harpell and surprise the Warlord before he has time to reorganize his defences."
"Seems we then have our work around."Rhogar said after a hum of agreement. "Let us be swift then. As for this... prisoner."The dragonborn looks to the Mind Flayer. "We can...revisit the issue later. Mayhaps they may even wish to at minimum take vengeance upon their captors, and have strength enough to do so once freed."He went on to say as much, though his words lacked their usual certainty. Regardless, Rhogar moved to fall in line after the others on their way to the secret door. Though before fully going through himself once the way is open, he'd spare the mind flayer one last look, before shaking his head and focus on whatever path lay ahead of the group.

You enter a short corridor and find another door at the far end. Clearly another secret door, those obvious from this side it is likely difficult to spot from the other side. As you approach the end of the hallway you hear screams of agony coming from the other side of the door.
Presuming you open the door and enter the room you find braziers of glowing-hot coals heat and light this room, the walls of which are lined with closed iron sarcophagi standing on end. In the middle of the room, a woman has been shackled to a chair. Her flesh is covered with blisters. A pair of hooded duergar prod her with hot iron rods, searing her flesh and causing her to bellow in agony. You are fairly certain this is Vellynne Harpell though she looks like she has been put through the ringer.
A soot-stained, gray-bearded duergar with a jagged black crown on his brow and a spiky black gauntlet on one hand supervises the two hooded duergar.
Kazri’s blood boils when she understands the situation, but remains calm. Once inside the room, she runs to the double doors to the north with Oli to block it. (Does the door has a window, or is it solid?)

As Kazri rushes to block the north door Rhogar takes an opportunity to heal Vellynne. Krom tries to hold the duergar in the room but they each resist his efforts. Xaradok suddenly turns invisible as the other 2 attack.
Chill gets his shot off and strikes the now invisible duergar. The duergar yells a hellish rebuke as he is hit and Chill must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 16 (3d10) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

From behind another foe suddenly attacks Chill hurling bolts of fire
"Xardarok. Call off your dragon, or you and your minions will pay dearly this day!" Rhogar growled out as sparks of magic crackled along his teeth. Believing or knowing it to not to be enough encouragement alone however, Rhogar chest swelled in the deepest inhale, only to exhale a divine bolt of lightning that splintered in mid-air and would strike with deadly force. Even if they should survive the bolts, remnants of the energy continued to crackle and dance across points of vulnerability well after.
A though however is not even spared to gloat or bask in any success, but rather went to Gorrah, urging her to take flight and actually engage either whatever foe struck Chill in the back, or had she yet sensed the king, seek him out instead to sting!

Bonus Action(Rhogar): Command Gorrah to Sting an opponent(prioritizing Crown Bearer if within her 10ft of blindsight).

"Yeah. We should probably do the world a favor and kill it right now. Those things are nasty."
Chill says after getting caught up with what was happening.
He'll then go check and listen at the doors and take a look around the rest of the chamber.
