"Until Oli can break free from the clutches of that abomination, we will carry him and shield him from harm." says Krom as Roghar's spell doesn't seem to break the charm effect.
As the group prepares to continue their search for the undead, Krom helps Kazri carrying Oli through the next corridor.

"I do not like to do this, however, it pains me more to see the little one in this state." Kazri motions for everyone to stay behind the Owlbear. "Everyone, stand behind Oli." She stands right in front of Oli and gives him a good punch on his face. "Wake up Oli!!"

Kazri braces herself and then smacks Oli hard across the face. How exactly does a large owlbear react when being struck in the face even if the one doing the striking is a friend? Especially when under the influence of some strange entity?
Kazri gives Oli a good smack who instinctively gives his own smack in return. A large claw reaches out to strike Kazri but she is quick and avoids the blow. A moment later Oli shakes his head violently and his eyes seem to gain their luster back and refocus. He then reaches out and nuzzles Kazri, seemingly unaware that he just tried to take her head off. But all seems well and Oli seems to be back to his old self again.
The party then moves forward, Chill in the lead, trying to find any sign of the creature. It had disengaged in the form of a mist but you hope that at some point it returned to a more corporeal form that you can track.
You look up a large hole like passage than slopes up and out of sight. This runs to the NW. It looks the same as previous type bore holes, possibly created by some large creature boring through the ice.
You also see that the trees are indeed alive, their canopies thick with frosty leaves, their branches bearing purple pears that hang like ornaments. A low wall, broken in several places, threads its way through the grove.
How do you proceed? Do you split up among the ruined rock walls or stay together?
Kazri pets Oli's head and neck. "I am glad you are back to normal." Kazri then, activates her Divine Sense, and walks around the area to make sure that it is safe.

"Hmn. As trying as it would be, best we stay together in our.. examination of this area. The damnable thing or things have already proven themselves rather adept at ambushes even with forewarning. And there's no need to give it more of the proverbial pounds of flesh for trespassing in its or their domain."Rhogar chuckled, but without much mirth behind his voice while looking about the immediate area. Instead, his curiosity finally gets the better of him, for an idle thought leads to an absentminded effort in directing his 'eye' down the northwestern tunnel.
"I will say that this place is... rather fascinating. I know a druidess back home that would be especially interested in how this grove came to be! But such, eh, idle thoughts aside for a moment-..." Rhogar trails off from there and instead motions with his staff for the group to circle the grove clockwise in their examination of the place for any signs of the lurking danger.

"It is indeed a strange place, Rhogar. Maybe when all this eternal winter's business has been dealt with, you could ask her to study it." adds Krom "Let's stick together. I doubt that we have seen the last of those creatures."
The dwarf, murmuring an hymn of guidance, follows Chill scanning the area as they make their way around the cavern.

You make your way clockwise around the grove of trees. You first come across a small passage that leads to the east but it makes a turn and you cannot see more than a few feet down it. Directly to the south on the east side is a wider passage that also make a turn and you cannot see further.
As you get closer to this southern passage a mist coalesces into the form of the hyena that you battled earlier. The creature is back!

Rhogar spat out a curse as he raced to close the gap with the creature in the wake of Kazri. But after a releasing a curt word of power to help alleviate some of Vellynne's wounds along the way, once he's in the face of the creature, his chest and throat expand from a held breath awaiting explosion. But rather than lightning or mere air, thin wisps of golden smoke sipping out past his lips suggest something a bit more unique this time around...
