Krom scratches his beard as he listens to Rhogar's explanation regarding the spell glyph. "Unfortunately it's as we thought, the tower is magically warded." he says thoughtfully. "I suspect that the trigger is similar to the glyph of warding I have etched onto the vault doors in Axeholm. The caster can define very detailed trigger conditions, such as specific circumstances or according to physical characteristics of a creature." Krom continues, tapping the head of his war hammer "The original caster may also have created a specific password to temporarly disable the spell. But, we cannot be certain. That leaves us with only one course of action: dispelling it." The dwarf murmurs a hymn of guidance pointing the Holy Symbol of Moradin etched on his shield towards the glyph. "With the All-Father's blessing, I might be able to distrupt it." Krom begins chanting a hymn of abjuration. As the dwarf completes the hymn, a fiery ray streaks out from his shield aimed directly at the arcane glyph.
"And if that doesn't work, can we just smash the glyph? If it's broken does the power still work or will it explode or something?" Chill remarks in question of how to stop the glyph.
Krom stands tall, his chant resonating with power as the Holy Symbol on his shield glows brightly. A fiery ray erupts from it, streaking toward the glyph. The air crackles as the ray meets the glyph, causing it to flare with the same radiant light. The light of the glyph then fades.
As the light from the glyph dissipates, a flare of light appears in the doorway, . The flare quickly fades as well, and Krom, steady and focused, lowers his shield.
You are certain you have dispelled the magic of the glyph.
Kazri is taking out her old Nature's Grasp, per Chill's suggestion, if they needed to resolve this impasse the old fashioned way. Seeing that Krom was able to do it the right way, she puts her weapon back. "It looks like that did it Master Krom. Do we go in now?"

"Hmm.... Mn. Indeed! Well done as always, Master Krom."Rhogar pats the dwarf on the shoulder, then looked again towards the tower. "You know something occurred to me just now. But, ehhh... Eh! FAR too late to be worrying over some belated thought at this juncture! So, et's see our way inside."Without missing a beat, Rhogar readily jogged up to the doorway if not given quick enough pause by the others, and would try to stride on inside.
... So long as any front door to speak of didn't stymmie him by being locked. In which case after only a few tries, he'd step back, before then with a grin make a sweeping 'after you' gesture for Chill to take point.

Krom grins with satisfaction as the enchantment protecting the tower dissipates. "The All-Father is with us, my friends. Let's head inside." The dwarf adjusts his grip of his shield and, brandishing his war hammer, follows Rhogar towards the door. "I doubt that glyph was the only protection on this tower. Stay alert and vigilant."
Kazri readies her sword, and ask Oli to stay outside and warn her if anyone gets closer to the tower.

Once entry is made into the tower you are able to quickly ascend to the top.
A huge anvil chiseled with vivid blue runes rests in the center of a thirty-foot-diameter, thirty-foot high circular chamber. Resting atop it is a hammer adorned with matching runes.
Six armored figures stand guard around the anvil. At the rear of the chamber, the frozen corpse of a wizard lies in a pile of rubble. Blue flames flicker from braziers spaced around the room, illuminating a carved inscription on the ceiling.
You quickly recognize the six to be demos magen. They make no moves as you look into or enter the room. A quick look around, you also spot words on the ceiling.
The inscription on the ceiling is in Draconic and reads “First, shield thy heart with a wand from the Nether Oak.”
As the group enters the room, Krom looks with keen interest at the anvil and the matching hammer. "I would need to properly examine them both, but I'm confident that the anvil and hammer are enchanted." The dwarf stroking his beard adds "I have to admit, it's very tempting. Gaining access to an enchanted anvil could help us in our quest. If we choose to fight, we could defeat those six Magen, but it won't be an easy battle."
He pauses as he focuses his thoughts on the inscription. "This inscription, like the others seem very specific. Do you think those acts will be necessary to gain access to the Mythallar or speaking the words will be enough? This one speaks of shielding your heart with a wand from the Nether Oak, others talked about consuming poison and standing in a circle of death..." Krom asks to the group. "Shall we regroup with Vellynne and ask for her opinion, or proceed with our explorations?"
"The Nether Oak bit would certainly be tricky to obtain if that is the case. But so long as we have some alcohol and... hmmm... and maybe gather a few errant bones to make a circle, we might be able to work around that last one." Rhogar states. "But regardless, if you do not have the means to converse with the dead this day, then I'd still like to approach the wizard and see if we can find a Nether Oak wand on him at the very least. That, and, uhh... maybe visit at least one more tower before call it a day." He adds with a note of hopefulness in his voice. "But, I'd be willing to compromise if you all are willing to indulge at least some further examantion of the fallen 'fore we part ways."

"I do not, Rhogar" Krom says, shaking his head. "I didn't anticipate we'd find ourselves needing to converse with the dead today. If we don't find a Nether Oak wand on that wizard, we can speak with him tomorrow after I have studied the proper hymn." The dwarf eyes the Magen standing guard around the anvil and adds, "I'll keep watch guard here, ready to intervene if the constructs activate, while one of you searches the wizard. We can decide which tower to visit next once this task is done."
"I will take that subtlety is not necessary here, and that the Magens are only protecting the Anvil and the hammer. I can go check the wizard, and you all can stay here." Kazri takes a step forward from the group to see if the Magens will have any reaction.

"I... I'm sorry, but I am still of a mind to press on for one more tower." Rhogar admits with arms crossed and a look of disappointment etched on his face as he stared off at the body. But then following a sigh some of the tension left his shoulders. "But considering preparations we need to make for tonight and... erm, the earlier mentioned compromise being met, a return is in order. So, let us make haste before there are any other surprises this day, yes?" He flashes toothy grin before leading the way back out of the tower. Once aside however, the Bronzeborn more than happily falls back into the group's usual marching order for the journey back to base camp at the Dryad's abode.

We have much to discuss and plan before taking our rest." The dwarf nods as he follows the dragonborn and the rest of the group outside. Krom, shield and hammer at the ready, remains in guard as the group traces back their path.
Kazri walks out first to check on Oli. "We have much to update Ms. Harpell." Kazri and Oli will take the rear on their way back to the Dryad's forest.

"Looks like we'll have to go back to the nasty angry oak tree if we mean to get wood for a wand. Anyone know how to make a wand? Krom, can you fashion one if we get the wood?" Chill remarks and asks as they head back down.
"I can certainly shape the wood into a wand, but I lack the capabilities to infuse it with arcane magic." Krom relies as they walk "But, maybe it won't be necessary to infuse it, the Nether Oak innate magic could be enough." The dwarf stays quiet for a couple of minutes before speaking again "We could search the House of the Arcane or the Museum, maybe there is still a wand there that we could use."
