Kazri finds a shiny globe amongst the trinkets, and shows to the store owner. After hearing the cost of the object, she puts the globe on the counter. "Unfortunately I do not have the necessary funds. May I ask you put it to the side? I would like to purchase it at another opportunity. As you said. We can't have enough daylight in this region." She grabs a pair of snowshoes with crampons. "I will buy one of these, please."
(I will take that the Boots of the Winterlands doesn't help with walking on snow.)

Chill pours some water from his waterskin into the tankard and as it warms up a big smile crosses his face.
"I've got to have this! I'll take it." handing 5 gp over for the tankard. As he sees Krom pass over the snow globe he is drawn to it as well. For a while he just sits and stares at it watching the snow swirl around. It probably takes Rhogar smacking him on the back of the head to break him away from watching it. "Uh, yeah, this too please!"
Checking out the driftglobe he remarks to Chip "Not as cool as this snow globe but probably more useful. I'll toss 100 gold in to help pay for it."
"Now.... we could pay you the four hundred gold" Chip would say as he pulls out his lute. "Or I could trade you this magical lute for the orb" The dragonborn would say as he holds up the Lute of illusions.
Rhogar never smacks Chill over the head, as he'd been for the most part distracted himself mulling over between the mirthal hooks and scrimshaw pen. Gorrah had far less compunctions, and would distract herself after a while by teasing Chill with images of a cat stuck in a snowglobe and clawing to get out. Or if that wasn't enough to break the globes hold, she eventually flies over to start nipping at his ears for attention. If/when she has it, she merely points at the others with her stinger prior to returning to a still out of it Rhogar.
"I can't believe saying this, but maybe I should've fought more." Rhogar eventually muttered under his breath. Afterwards however, he jolts to alertness, though it took a few moments for him to remotely catch up. "How much for this again?"He gestures over to the ink pen. As soon as he confirmed its price, Rhogar is quick to pay for it. "I would also not mind riding one of those, uh, Axe Beaks, wasn't it?That is, if you truly do not mind the uhm.. purchasing part of that transaction, Chip." "I

Chill tells Chip to play a bit of the lute so the man can see how good quality it is.
"Perhaps we can make a deal here. As my friend said, we'll trade the lute for the globe. Both have magical abilities and have value. The lute is well made and as you can see, and hear, it is no beginner's musical instrument. Someone in the town will want to buy it. You said yourself the local wizard couldn't afford the globe. What good is such an item sitting on a dark shelf? We offer you the lute and 200 gold for the globe. What do you say? We've bought a number of things here and we'll be back to buy more. We'll take at least 3 of those Axe Beaks as well. We may be back for more. We'll be in the area for quite some time and would love to continue to make most of our purchases here."

You bet I'll buy some axe beaks for the group.. and listen to this lute!" Chip would say with a Grin and a wink to chill. He would quickly begin playing a soft tune... as small fireflies fill the shop. The dragonborn would play for an entire minute before looking to the man. "So how do you feel about that deal?" Chip would ask with a smile. "I would really like it if you agreed."

Rendaril grins as Chip plays his lute and Chill starts to bargain with him. "You're the new bard in town! Someone said you were playing at the Northlook tonight. I'm looking forward to it! The Northlook will be packed tonight, old Scramsax will be pleased. They'll be bard wannabe's all over town tomorrow and I'll have just the lute to sell! You folks have yourselves a deal."
Rekuberk will buy the snow shoes and other items to make the trips into the snow easier for himself. He looks over the axebeaks but in the end decides he can be his own pack animal since he already carries of his things as it is.
Chip would hand over his lute as well as enough gold to cover the rest of the cost of the drift globe. "Last chance to get an axe beak? If ya don't wanna trudge through snow the rest of our visit ya might wanna speak up" The dragonborn would say as he starts to put down enough coins for at least 3 of mounts...
OOC: So chip and chill will each put 100g towards the globe, and then I have one mount for me, one for Rhogar, and one spare for gear? Anyone else want one? Last chance!
Krom smiles at Chill and Chip and thinks "They did it again." As he sees that Kazri and Rekuberk are about to pay for the snowshoes he says "You can put the gold back in your purses, I already paid for those."
"I stand by my opinion Chip, I will walk, but thank you for your kind offer." replies to the dragonborn. "If we have completed our purchases, shall we leave then? Maybe we can pay a visit to Blackiron Blades or to the Town hall?" says to the rest of the group.
As Chill and Chip negotiate with the store owner, the halo around Kazri's neck starts to glow a low divine radiant light. The radiant energy this time is of hope, hope for a positive outcome. That had never happened before with her medallion. When they are successful, and the store owner is happy to oblige to the groups request, the halo gives out a feeling of elation. Again, something new that had never happened with her medallion. "Indeed." Kazri says after Krom. "Very well done gentlemen. The Driftglobe shall belong to the group."

Chip would add as he places 250 gold on the counter for the three mounts and his share of the drift globe.

You step out of the shop and look around the market square. Three stocky figures bundled in cold weather garb stumble toward you. They have snowshoes slung over their backs and ice picks fastened to their belts, and two of them have thick beards. The third holds up a gloved hand and says, through a thick wool scarf in a raspy voice, “Well met! I’m Hruna, and these are my friends, Korux and Storn. We need help, and you look capable.” You recognize them as having been in the Northlook earlier and were complaining of a lost shipment.
"Greetings." replies Krom "Straight to the point, I like that, but maybe is it is better if we speak inside a tavern so that we may have some respite from this cold?." The dwarf keeps his eyes on Hruna as he places his hand near the handle of his warhammer.
"I... I am not so sure of that, Master Krom. Daylight is burning after all, but-...."Rhogar looks to the trio, curious to see which would be their preference. Even if the obvious was as such, he could not help but warily glance at the sky as one other investigation yet loomed in mind. "It is up to you all."

As you sit at a table the three dwarves remove their cold weather gear and head wraps that everyone seem to wear outside.
