Donos tosses the rope back to Rhaecus. He takes one last look ahead of them on the river, even more intrigued by a molten waterfall, but while he craves adventure and action, he realizes there are limits.
He follows the others below deck. He begins to smile.
He may not be able to see it happen, but they are still going over a waterfall to splash into the fabled stream of fire.
(I live again! Sorry for not posting these past few days, I've been dealing with quite a bit irl.)
You all head belowdecks, and sit about for a while, waiting for the boat to fall. Then, all of a sudden, you are weightless. Time seems to slow down as you fall, then all of a sudden you hit. The shock sends you all sprawling as the boat almost entirely submerges. Orange, bubbling liquid spills down from abovedeck, and the wood scorches and bursts into fire where it touches. Jason's voice pierces the crackling of flame.
"Hurry and get up, we don't have long!"

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Arteusa scrambles to get her legs underneath her, flailing until she manages to pull herself upright, rearing just slightly to avoid the fire. "This is very unpleasant," she hisses, scowling.
Rhaecus scrambles to his feet and dashes onto the deck while clapping his hands together to urge the others faster. "Come on, come now! Burning planks will wait for no Satyr. Watch that your fur and hair does not catch fire!"
(If a roll's needed can Humbug roll for me? Thanks)
"With what? Spit?" He asks incredulously as he leaps over a small patch of flames. "The very water it floats on is fire, I for one am not capable of such a feat!"
You make it up without anything beyond a faint, harmless singeing, to see the ship engulfed in flame. It is unlikely to survive a few more minutes.
"Okay, hurry it up if you want to live! Jump!"
You turn, to see a walking bonfire. Jason is entirely engulfed, his skin blackening as the smell of burning meat fills the air.
"Don't sit and stare, jump!"
The ship jerks as it bumps against the hard stone at the side of the river. It doesn't seem particularly pleasant to jump onto, but it's certainly better than staying on the ship.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Donos takes a running start, plants his one foot on the rail and leaps out into the air, landing on the hard stone. Then he also helps Arteusa help the others with their landings.
(Ah, yes. Jason's shit. No wonder Rhaecus had suspicions about him)
Rhaecus leaps with his stocky legs and sticks his landing easily enough (mirthful leap as a Satyr is cool), turns back and yells, "It is a few eternities too late for staying 'alive', as you say! What about you? You, ah, do not look well, sir!"
Kaneís shrivels her face at both the smell and the necessity of physical exertion. The agile Satyrs, the Triton, and the powerful Centaur made the leap seem easy. While she was certainly nimble, it was clear she couldn’t quite master the combination of strength and agility needed to make the leap, and she stumbles on impact before snuffing a small flame that had caught fire on her robes as they briefly made contact with the molten river she had narrowly avoided.
You all make it safely, and behind you the boat slowly sinks into the burning river as the living torch that was once Jason waves, until too much of his body is consumed for him to move. Looking about, you appear to be in a relatively small cavern compared to the one at the entrance to the underworld, with the burning river behind you. Strangely, the cavern appears to be entirely shut off from above, and you can't see how you could have fallen in here. Of course, judging by all the strange shifts in scenery you've already seen, this probably isn't all that surprising to you. The air is hot and dry, and you're all already sweating buckets. The cavern is empty besides the river and a small hole in the wall on the opposite side of the river that appears to be some sort of cave entrance or tunnel.
(I'll figure out what the hell I'm doing for a map soon, don't worry.)
(Er, when I say soon, I mean by the end of next year, maximum. Probably.)

(Theater of the mind works just fine for me. There will be kinks since 5e places emphasis on movement and positioning but I think we can still do without a map.)
"That's good enough for me," Zaela says, making her way below deck.

Kaneís makes a face at the mention of the waterfall and will head below deck. Tartarus will certainly be an interesting experience.

Donos looks over at Rhaecus.
”Only one word this time?” he asks. “I’m coming to be quite fond of your songs.”
He looks around at the others.
”No one was sent on to this plane with dice or cards by chance were they? This river seems much longer than it did from topside.”
Arteusa scrambles to get her legs underneath her, flailing until she manages to pull herself upright, rearing just slightly to avoid the fire. "This is very unpleasant," she hisses, scowling.

Donos helps Arteusa up the stairs, careful to avoid the fiery water, smiling as they go.
”This is a first. Hopefully one of many.”
Kaneís helps herself up and above the stairs, musing at what the air or land would be in such a hellish place where lava flows as water.
Rhaecus scrambles to his feet and dashes onto the deck while clapping his hands together to urge the others faster. "Come on, come now! Burning planks will wait for no Satyr. Watch that your fur and hair does not catch fire!"
