Gillain looks at Ermren, who seems to be examining the wrecked armor too. “This all seems wrecked, no?But the other two look serviceable... You don’t think they’ll animate too, do you??... I kind of think I want that armour!”.
She stands looking at the other two pristine suits of armor, head looking and tilting this way and that as she scrutinises it. She’ll wait a second or two ((to see if anyone has other ideas or wants to try to stop her)).
If no one stops her, she’ll approach one of the other suits of armor and go about trying to take it apart ready to put on.
Dmitri sporting his scratches across his face <2hp of damage> turns to James and replies, "Tis but a flesh wound, comrade." Dmitri moves to support Gillain in her inspection of the two remaining stationary suits of armor. He stands at the ready should these two proof to be animated by some foul spirit as well.
“I am quite fine thank you.” Tio mentions “If you need assistance Gillain, I can help you don off your armor.” Tio will Help Gillain if she plans to take the armor. If it is animated she will try to give disadvantaged to it if it attacks Gillain.

Felix Windfall (Human-V Lv.7 Rogue) killed in ToA,Vallan Houndstrider (Halfling Ghostwise Lv.1 Fighter) in DiA
Ermren stands back upright from his check of the armor with a disapproving frown, you notice he seems to have this expression quite often, "Shoddy work to be damaged so much so easily. And thank you James, I'm unharmed." Looking up at Gillain, "These other ones aren't damaged, yet, nor do they seem to be animating, but if they're the same quality as these others were, you might be better off keeping on what you have." But he'll move over to check the armor anyway.
(Do the other sets seem like regular armor? Or just decorative pieces too thin to use in combat?)
Bob pokes at the inert piles of metal with his scimitar, unconvinced that inanimate objects that had suddenly animated for no apparent reason wouldn't do so again. "You lot confound me with your obsession with encasing yourselves in metal like some kind of mobile bloody prison cell. We ought to keep moving once we've licked our wounds and taken stock of the situation."
Gillain/Dmitri/Tio: you inspect the other armors and it seems fine but, during your inspection, you notice that there is nothing inside the armor or outside the armor that keeps it standing. it's not attached to anything that would keep it upright and in place.
Bob: As you poke the fallen armor with your scimitar you find the metal bends with your prodding. From bending it starts to move a lot like clay.
Ermren: The other sets do look like normal armor.
James: You look to find some trigger or something that may have set the armor off but, find nothing.
(any further actions and continuation of this part of the house will be addressed later today.)
Ermren straightens up after his examination of the armor, "It looks like we could make use of them, but..." glancing at the human woman, "They may need resized a bit, which takes some work. Why don't we leave these here until we finish clearing this place, then return. This doesn't seem like the best place to be standing around with your armor off while I take measurements."
“Hmm.. you might be right...” says Gillain to Ermren. She moves over to one of the suits of armor and stands up against it, trying to gauge if it would fit.
If it looks like it will fit, she’ll take it down and change. If not, she’ll take it down and stash it in her two sacks, for now.
Bob looks between him and Ermren and sighs. "G'wan, then. Hand over what metal ye cannae carry and we'll haul it. Dwarves are good at hauling!" He gives a helpful sort of smile, though internally he's grumbling at the prospect of having to haul anything heavier than crockery.
You break down and gather the two sets of remaining armor. You realize a bit too late that the sound of your work carries through the room and up and down the stairway. As you finish you find yourself facing a choice on what to do now. There are the double doors to the east (Door #1), the double doors to the west (door #2) or the door that is on the east wall at the top fo the stairs (door #3)
Dmitri stays back to his self appointed rear guard position. He keeps a wary eye on the stairway and two other sets of doors as the party moves to the chosen door.
Bob casts Produce Flame and holds another light up for his less keen-eyed companions along with James' light, though he's ready to hurl the ball of fire at anything behind the door that wanted to attack them.
You open the doors to this room. The doors do not creak as before but open easily. Upon opening the double doors you find a 20 ft. by 20 ft. room that appears to be a personal library and study. A short faint breeze passes by you. With it, comes the scent of old leather and paper.
Along the north wall of this room, to your left, approximately at the 15 ft. mark, along the wall is a black marble fireplace. there is no fire lit. Above the fireplace hangs a framed picture of a windmill perched atop a rocky crag. to the right and left of the fireplace, in the northeast and northwest corners of this room sits 2 overstuffed chairs.
4 windows appear to be spaced evenly at the east wall of this room. The windows are covered by elegant red velvet curtains that slightly touch the floor of the room. About 12 ft. from the new corner and 4 ft. from the east wall sits an exquisite mahogany desk. The desk is angled facing the double doors you entered and the fireplace. Behind the desk sits an elaborate high-backed chair.
To the left of the desk, coming from the east wall about 19 ft. out and is approximately 4 ft. wide, stands a floor to ceiling bookshelf. A 4 ft. step ladder sits between the bookshelf and the desk.
Along the south wall of this room, to your right, running the entire length of the wall stands a floor to ceiling bookshelf. To the left of this bookshelf is a rolling ladder that allows access to the books on the top shelf. Both bookshelves described have various books and manuscripts stored among the shelving.
Empty suits of armor? Yes. They seem serviceable to you.
Gillain looks at Ermren, who seems to be examining the wrecked armor too. “This all seems wrecked, no?But the other two look serviceable... You don’t think they’ll animate too, do you??... I kind of think I want that armour!”.

“Agreed,” James says, nodding to Bob.
”Don’t wrap yourself in evil and shadow, and be surprised when it attempts to consume you.”
James wants to look around for anything that might’ve triggered the armor while Gillain messes, then move on.

Gillain moves up alongside Ermren towards door #1. When everyone is ready, she’s happy to open it, with her shield and spear at the ready.
