Bob Beezly dithers between the back carriage and the lead; he had wanted to just hop aboard the nearest one and be done with it. Of course, Ermren had other plans and after a moment of grumbling Bob finally deigns to join his fellow dwarf in the carriage.
Bob boards the carriage with much huffing and puffing, struggling to remove his bulging pack in the confined space. With a clattering, clinking racket he sets his belongings aside, seated across from Ermren. He made no effort to clean his weathered cloak as the other dwarf used magic to tidy himself, instead opting to rummage through his backpack until he finds something to eat. "I ought t' feel better now we're out of that awful mist, but now I feel just as worried as ever," he says between mouthfuls of dry, cracker-like bread. "Y' can't leave even if y' wanted! I feel like a bloody hamster in a cage."
Gillain leans in towards Tio, “Strange indeed... last I remember, we were tracking that wolf-creature into the forest.... What happened? Were we ambushed??... and then to wake up elsewhere. Where even is this? And how long were we out, do you think?”.
And a little later, she decides to confide in her friends: “Back at the road, there was ‘something’... I ‘felt’ something... ...It was like I could ‘see’ a.. a.... presence in the woods, but it was behind me!... It makes no sense! But, it was more than seeing. It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before... it assaulted ALL my senses: I could almost taste it! It was like death... ... something...’unnatural’!... and it was lurking, stalking, just out of view. By the time I had spun around the sensation had gone...”.
"Very strange, i can recall us running into the woods...then mist had begun to move on its own. After a shot time I awoke here." Facing Gillain "How strange. Perhaps we will learn more once we reach this castle."
Dmitri makes a point of allowing the two ladies to board first before taking a seat across from the two of them. He marvels at the speed of the carriages and takes on the sights of the countryside streaming past. He is eager to engage his two companions in a friendly conversation to put his own nerves at ease, as well as their own.
Having been adventuring for a fortnight or less together and grown comfortable with one another, as only trusting another to guard your life as you lie defenseless on the ground sleeping does. Dmitri takes Tio's eccentricity in stride. He seemed to recall that Eastern witches wore similar masks. Where were they from again? Rash something or another.
Gillain appeared just as concerned as he felt, whilst Tio's porcelain mask revealed little. As Tio and Gillain gave voice to his own concern he flashed a nervous smile at the two women across from him. He says, "Yes. Highly convenient wasn't it. I do hope that the odd characters Lord can provide us with some insight on where we are and possibly how to get back to Daggerford."
Gillain responds, “Yes, no doubt we’ll find some answers when we arrive at our destination. I, for one, am very glad to be on the road, away from those woods and whatever lurked within...”.
She twists her head this way and that, with a couple of audible clicks, stretching out the muscles in her neck and shoulders.
“If Rahadin is honest (as you say), perhaps we can all look forward to a little hospitality. From a Lord no less! I could certainly do with some hot food, and a hot bath, after the week we’ve had!”.
She attempts once or twice to push her hair out of her face... before giving in, and letting it all down. Then sitting back to retie it in a number of fine braids.
Listening to her companions discuss the current events, Tio will stay silent. Then as Gillain goes for her stretch "Well, I could tell he was telling the truth about taking us to his lord now if he is hostile towards us, that I do not know." Watching Gillain struggle with her hair, Tio will braid her hair "Here, allow me to help you. I am quite proficient in braiding hair. How do you want it, I can put it in a bun or keep it simple." She will start braiding if Gillain allows it.
“Are you sure? That would be great, thank you!... and as long as it’s out of my face, you can do whatever you like!”. Gillain smiles and shifts slightly to sit with her back to Tio. “I can’t remember the last time someone braided my hair. My mother probably. I’ve got four older brothers so...”.
Gillain’s eyes slowly close, as Tio works with her hair. The motion of the carriage and Tio’s ever-calm demeanour seem to spirit her away to another time, and another place: growing up in the Barony back home, attending society parties, lavish dinners... Gillain seems lost in thought...
After some time the scene outside the carriages changes from rolling hills to forest then mountainous terrain. The Castle appears into view. It takes about another hour traversing a treacherous mountain past before the Castle comes into full view. The Castle seems to tower above the very mountains that surround it and it appears to be set upon a pedestal of rock in the midst of a great chasm. A long bridge from the mountain road you are on to the Castle gates appears before you. One thing you notice is what little sound is coming from outside the carriage. The carriages turn and cross the bridge, the horse's hooves clipping only the wood planks giving a strange echo that goes across the chasm.
The carriages slowly pull through 2 massive gates that stand open. The horse's hooves clip-clop across cobblestone as the carriages pull through. The carriages pull into the courtyard, a circular area with a small garden in the middle of it. The carriages pull around and you see a gardener tending the middle garden. The carriages pull up and stop infront of a large series of tiered steps leading up and to the main door of the Castle.
The carriage doors open and you find a small group of servants issuing from the main door towards the carriage.

As Tio continues to braiding Gillain’s, there isn’t a single wasted movement. Despite the difficult terrain, Tio continues to work as if she’s done this for years. Tio parts Gillain’s hair into two separate braids and then as the end she connects the two into a tight bun. “There all done. They shouldn’t come undone even as you swing your weapons around.”

Gillain is astonished at what a tidy job Tio has made of her hair. “'Wow, thank you!” She shakes her head a little from side to side “that’s incredible!”.
Just as she’s thanking her, she notices the scenery outside: the dramatic views and the imposing castle!
Unconsciously, she straightens her armour, and her hand goes up to push her hair off her face, before she realises that’s unnecessary.
As is customary, she waits in the carriage for the staff to receive them.
((OOC: @DM, by the way, do we have all our gear and weapons and things on us, or is it stowed somewhere else?))

Bob natters on as the carriage speeds away about nothing particularly interesting - his thriving apiary, the birds that had been nesting in his beard, the weather back home - before slowly succumbing to the strange stillness of the misty road they were following. The fog seemed to muffle the sound of hooves, swallowing it up just as surely as it swallowed up the light. In fact, Bob was struggling to reckon what the time of day even was, though it didn't bother him not knowing; living in a hill made the time of day mostly irrelevant.
To keep his thoughts from creeping toward anxiety and despair he focused instead on the mind-blowing blur the world had become through the window of the carriage. Bob Beezly was slow even for a dwarf and after a while of gawking in disbelief he began to feel the slightest bit queasy.
When at last they come to a halt he bursts from the door of the carriage after Ermren and winds up on all fours, clinging to the ground and quietly singing the praises of the earth and its comforting solidity. He stands shakily and stares, mouth agape, at the castle looming above the craggy mountain peaks.
Looking down at Bob, Ermren sighs heavily and leans down and lifts him to his feet, “You’re representing dwarfdom here, stand up. What would your mother think?”
James puts a hand on Bob’s shoulder sympathetically and scowls at Emren in reproach. “Now now, leave the poor fella’ alone. He’s had a hard time of it. But... that said, on your feet, Bob. This place gives me the willies.” James looks around this place warily.

Bob gratefully accepts the help up and the comforting hand of James on his shoulder, though he wilts a bit under the leaden weight of Ermren's disapproval. Shouldering his pack he gives the castle another glance and gulps hard. He nods once at James and looks bashfully over at Ermren with a wry chuckle.
"I agree with youngJames!" he says to the other dwarf. "Don't tell me you've not got a wee bit o' the heebie-jeebies, Ermren? This castle, the carriages out o' nowheres, the bloody fog!" Losing his composure for a moment Bob shouts the last few words into the swirling mists before taking a deep, steadying breath and turning toward the approaching servants. "Maybe they'll have some answers?" He turns his squinting beetle-black eyes toward the servants and observes them closely as they come closer.
As the carriage doors open up, Dmitri moves quickly to exit the carriage under the guise of gentile manners as he offers to assist Tio and Gillain down from the carriage; but in truth it's just to exit the carriage as soon as humanly possible.
Once everyone has disembarked, Dmitri stands to the side, his cloak billowing about him as he awaits the servants approach.
Ermrin glares at the castle briefly before nodding to Bob, "Can't say I like it much, but that's true of most of the places I've been lately. Wonder who this 'master' is?"
As Dimitri offers a hand Tio is a bit hesitant but she takes your hand. As she does you can feel that she has weight in her hand as if her hands were heavy gauntlets. Then as she steps off the carriage it lifts a bit as if unburden by some weight. "Thank you." Tio gives a slight curtsey.
As she steps to the side ro give Gillain some room, Tio will study the servants. Thier posture, the state of their clothes the way and the way they present themselves.
