As the wolves teeth bare down on his shield, Gilgin stands his ground. Noticing James get bitten, he calls out. “You alright? We gotta stand our ground!”
If possible, Gilgin will try to manoeuvre himself so that a wolf is between James and himself before he brings down his warhammer on the beasts skull with a roar.
Attack: 11 Damage: 9
(Wolf 1 or 2 if not able to flank, I don’t believe any have taken damage so we can just say number 1 if there’s no difference)

As Kravek stands toe to toe with wolf 7 he notices wolf 5 to late as it jumps to bite his arm. At that moment Kravek tenses his muscles with all his might and plants his foot firmly expecting the impact of the bite and tries to resist its sting.
With wolf 5 releasing its bite Kravek turns his body and brings his hammer down on it to try and strike back at the beast. Annam guide my hand he calls out as his hammer moves downward.
Reaction vs wolf 5's attack: Stone's endurance to ignore 12 dmg (max 8 dmg to resist) Action: Warhammer Attack: 6 Damage: 8 vs wolf 5
Your blast hits a wolf (let’s say #3) but it doesn’t got enough power to cause serious damage. Nevertheless it is enough to convince them to retreat. Wolves # 1;2&3 start to dash away. Gilgin you can make an AoO against one of them, James only against #3.
Boga shoots an arrow after the fleeing animals, but misses (1/2 cover)
(wolf 7 would of still be engaged with Kravek but no need for AoO)
As the wolf runs off Kravek takes a step forward to follow him but stops himself. He looks back to check the others to see all the wolves seem to be departing.
Moving back to the group Kravek sighs Let us hope the moose did not see us fight.
Hifu says to the wolves "You better run! Get out of here you mangy beasts!" He straightens up and tries to look tough. He turns to Kravek, "Just as I planned", trying to convince himself.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Jameslets the wolf run off, wincing at the still fresh pain in his arm.
Jamessecures his greatsword and then checks the wound, confident that he is in no danger from the injury.
Jamesturns to his companions,
"So, keep going a little longer, or call it a night?"
James gives a slight smirk at the mention of night, looking up at the perpetually gloomy sky, not that he can see more then a few meters into the air above them.
Gilgin gets very animated at the moment James suggests a rest. “Aye! A rest, that’d be perfect! See, the moose is attacking helpless people right? So if we go to sleep and wait for it to come trample us, we’ll all wake up from the screams and be able to kill it!” Gilgin’s eyes are wide like a madman, and he has a proud grin across his face as he chuckles at his own genius.
Hifu laughs at Gilgin and walks over to the wolf body, retrieves his javelin. “Thank you for this” he says to Gilgin, “it’s aim was true.” He looks at Boga - “Any ideas where we should look for the beast now? Are we in the right area do you think?”

Gilgin scowls as Hifu takes his idea as a joke. He closes his eyes, muttering a dwarven prayer before opening them, and feeling where Dumathoin has drawn his attention.

After searching for some time, Gilgin comes upon another trail. It leads you deeper into the forrest and you experience a lot of the same problems as earlier, snowdrifts covering the trail and deep snow slowing you down even worse, after some time the moon disappears behind the trees and you are left in pitch black darkness. To avoid to much attention, you need to make due with a single torch and a muffled magical light from Boga. It takes you another 2 hours before you spot a large shadow moving in the distance. (Perception 2) You carefully approach the beast, but suddenly Gilgin signals you to stop. It is a moose, but without the majestic antlers. You followed the tracks of a cow.
Nyxsighs, trying to catch her breath, "This is much more physically taxing than I thought it would be. The snow is up to my chest and neck at some points."
“This is pretty much exactly how the last few attempts went. Maybe we should give up and return to the village? We will be hard pressed, but we should make it by midnight.“ Boga suggests.
Hifu, you are between James and Kravek, your warhammer brings down Wolf #4 and your kick hits wolf #5
Wolf #5 moves forward to bite Kravek:

Wolf 5 is dead. (1;2;3 and 7 still up)
Sorry for my absence. Thank you keeping James going.
James winces at the pain, as the wolf bites into his arm.
"Aaahhh!"
With a roar, James swings his greatsword at the wolf before him, as his friends take down the other.

”Yeah you better run!” He calls out as he loses his balance, digging his shield into the snow for stability.

“I think we have another two hours of twilight from the moon.” Boga says.
