"Wait, what? Frogs and golden vultures? This Joe fellow sounds crazier than what we saw last night." Vishaal sits down with a bottle to drink. This time of water.
"Mister Joe think we'd be fatter, or giant maybe. He say fog come, then Wailing Warrior come. Mislaia has rune stone from Mister Joe. We should no eat fog. Or golden vultures. But especially no eat fog. Not frog, fog."
On balance, Galqarin is unsure about the whole frog/fog thing. He privately resolves to be wary of either.
" He also said something about druids, and we know where to find the people who came with the druids " Mislaia sets the druid stone on the table
Chain glances at the stone, then back at Mislaia. "I don't know what to do with that. What I do know is, I saw some vulture-looking elf in town, I saw zombies coming out of the fog, while I was busy luring them away some giant spider appeared out of nowhere, killed Amber, and on top of that something else decapitated her. I didn't get a good look at it, but it looked like some spooky horseman that faded into the fog like a ghost. And then the spider vanished into thin air right in front of me, so I decided to get out while I could. But now I need to go back there and examine the body. It was dark and chaotic, and I want to know what actually happened."
"Yes, Amber is dead, and I'm pretty sure I saw druids staring at me when I was walking back here. And now it occurs to me that if they were there they could've disposed of any evidence. Shit. I need to go." Chain says as he hurridely gathers his things and rushes back to the scene of the crime.
Within the forest there are no traces of smoke nor druids, it all appears to be ordinary until you come across Amber’s decapitated body, her head nowhere to be seen and the fallen Zombies. Nothing seems strange apart from the dead bodies, but in Amber’s hand sits a similar stone that Mad Eye Joe previously gave you, this time with the etched mark of a nordic I. Both stones together are made up of an I and an N.
(slow replies ahead, please don’t do anything drastic such as fight a creature or talk to anyone other than the group. Thank you)
"No disrespect Mislaia, but maybe leave that to the strong ones." I will reach out to take the shovel, and if given it, will begin digging a grave for the barmaid's body.
"Wait, before you start burying her, give me a minute." Chain would like to examine the body more closely, in particular the cut that separated the head. Then he would search the surrounding area to check for any tracks the head thieves may have left. Then Chain would examine the zombies. And finally, Amber's house. Chain is not sentimental, so he would be thorough in his search, even if it may appear disrespectful to some. Also if Chain happens to find some coin or valuables he would take them.
"Why is the head gone? If you're taking something from the scene, why take only the head? And why leave behind a stone? This makes no sense to me." Chain will say in the process.
((I'm not sure how many checks and what kind I need to make to see how successful Chain is in his searches. DM?))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sora arose with the others and listened carefully to what they shared. It all seemed hurried and short on details that made any sense. But this whole town was confusing as all get out. She wasn't excited about following them into the forest, having heard about zombies and giant spiders and spooky druids. Nevertheless, she reluctantly goes after them, ready to cast Mage Armor as the first sign of danger. She watches them checking over Amber's body, thinking, We're going to have to tell Mr. Joe about this. She sighs and keeps an eye on the surrounding forest, looking out for trouble.

"No trust vulture. Nor kings nor druids. Maybe can eat vulture after all? But stringy, you need to be reeeeelly hungry".
" He also said something about druids, and we know where to find the people who came with the druids " Mislaia sets the druid stone on the table

(DM, do any of us recognize the stone as a Viking symbol, or is it just a weird rock to us?)

Galqarin limbers up a nearby tree to see if he can see anything from an elevated vantage point.
