Kallen gonna stab another one of it's friends! dashing towards jams her tiny daggers to Twigblight 6 "Scram you weeds! Nobody likes you not even your nature gods likes you parasite!"

Then looking back at her only female companion, giving a coughing fit! "I wish i could find a way to get rid of the coughing fit but I'm in the middle of something, maybe trying drinking lots of water?!"
Velshir, seeing the effect on Prentiss of the eruption, quickly turns and covers his face briefly able to avoid the effects. He smashes at the Zombie with renewed vigor. Goo and other interesting substances flying with each blow of mace and fist, but unaccompanied by the ash that seems to be the cause of respiratory distress. The creature is definitely weakening but is not 'dead' yet. More eager patrons behind it move to force it from the doorway.
Another AshZombie3 behind attempts a shove at the one you face. 20
This propels the messy creature at Velshir and Prentiss, both in the path of the outgoing Zombie and are threatened to be knocked prone by the force of the zombies behind it pushing it outward.
Next to come through the door is the face of horror itself, or at least this is what seems to be frozen into this poor woman's blackened visage. Probably a once beautiful creature, her now grotesque features are pleased to make your acquaintance in AshZombie3 form as she pushes the larger, patron forward.
The nearby window, now devoid of glass and quickly shutterless is smashed outward as the female moves forward revealing another AshZombie4 trying to break out of the kitchen but is hampered by the undersized window.

Both dodge the creature effectively as it moves forward but are now on either side of it with the new one in the doorway. Another attempts to push itself through the window adjacent to the door but on the other side of a wall, swiping at biting at anyone near.

Velshir grumbles a bit as he tries his best to stay just out of reach while still getting in his own blows, “There seem to be a fair few of these abominations. I hope it’s not like this at every house.”
He will also, if possible, try to think of what could have caused these living corpses to be so altered and damaged compared to other walking dead they’ve encountered. What could be the source of this ash, when the buildings themselves are not burnt? Are there any visual or other clues that could spark his intuition?
Velshir is aware that Mount Hotenow erupted 30 years ago spewing ash over the entire region. Although it didn't suffer the misery of Lava from the eruption, the quantity of ash and heat the town suffered was immense. The weight, heat and blast of sudden ash over the area likely caused most of the damage. The odd plant-life and why zombies arose from the turmoil isn't explained but the heat of the ash permeated the whole area.
Cal Pol moves forward smashing at the TwigBlight in front of him destroying it to kindling.
Kallen moves at the TwigBlight in the building and quickly dispatches the small creature with expert skill. No further TwigBlights are spotted in the area for now.

I'm sorry for the token graphic - it just doesn't translate well for this creature. The only zombies are in and around the building in the NE corner of the map. All others were TwigBlights.
Seeing the expert move from Kallen, Joshua turns to his other companions and seeing the state they are in will raise his hand and call forth the fire (casting Fire Bolt). As the fire leaves his hand you see his eyes flare and the mote of flame splits into two (using 1 sorcery point to use twinned spell) aimed at Zombie 3 and 4
Joshua fires off his fire bolt at 4th zombie hanging partially out of the window, then his eyes flash with an electric blue color and the fire bolt splits into two but misses the first difficult shot due to the cover of the building. The second fire bolt continues forward strikes the 3rd zombie injuring her but also results in another puff of ash affecting those close to her.
Prentiss and Velshir please roll constitution check again to avoid the effects.

Brencharis moves down towards Kallen so she doesn't have to worry about hitting Prentiss, pulling an arrow from her quiver and shouting to Prentiss as she does so, "You might wanna duck!", then looses the arrow at Zombie2. Not waiting to see if she hit or not, she ducks into the building between Kallen and Cal Pol and Hides in there as a bonus action.
