"Ach, such a glorious tale that would make Bane even blush. Thirty gold."Garn declares. "Not a dragon less. Enough for three uses of whatever you're planning on doin', lad."
"Thank you for your kindness.. I thank you and the world thanks you." The gith would reply as he hands over 30 gold. when putting the dushmt in his pack he would spot the strange metals they had collected from the giant and get an idea. He would then quickly pull the metal bits out and place then on the counter "Now I do have something that might interest you. On our recent crusade we collected these rare metals.. would you be interested in buying them to help support our noble quest?"
"Would you be willing to buy it from us? The funds would go towards saving the realm... and rare metals could mean rare and expensive weapons or armor..." Rak would say as he picks up the pieces and looks then over once again.
"Saving the realms?"he nearly laughs. "Wow. I told you, I don't know what this is, and i'm cold, me bones hurt, and I haven't seen summer in ages. Is there anything else I can help you with?"
"Ok..well thanks for your help" Rak would say before turning away from the shop keeper. The moment he turns to face the group the smile on his face fades. "well I got the dust but the idiot wouldnt buy the metal. That basket of junk has to be worth something." He would say once out if earshot if the man. "Alright, let's get out of here and find that killer. I'm almost out of coin and am no closer to getting out of this frozen hell hole"
When Rak is out of the store, Mica repeats what the barkeep said about Torg's caravan heading towards Bremen next. He suggests the party rest if it would be dark soon, or head out immediately for Bremen. Lonelywood and the so-called talking moose would be interesting to check out, but Mica's more concerned with finding Sobek.
If it sounds like we can make it to Bremen before nightfall, Rak would nod to Mica and agree that they head out right away. Otherwise the githyanki would suggest they head to the inn and stay the night first.
Like Bryn Shander, Targos is encircled by a wooden wall, which helps to protect the town against orcs and other threats from the wilderness. The wall extends out into the lake, creating a safe harbor for the town’s boats. But now Auril’s long winter has frozen the water in the harbor, and many of Targos’s boats are trapped in the ice. Almost all the towns in Icewind Dale make their living off the lakes, but nowhere is that fact more evident than in Targos.
The Luskan Arms, an Inn, is the oldest public house in Ten-Towns, established back when Bryn Shander was still just “the camp on the hill” and Luskan was a thriving city.
Three Flags Sailing is a tavern. Fishers come here after a long day for a bowl of stew and a quick pint before heading to bed. The atmosphere is subdued; the fishers are cold and tired and unsure about Icewind Dale’s future.
Before settling down to bed, The githyanki would take out a portion if ruby dust and cast continual flame on his amulet he wears around his neck. As he does so, green flames wrap around the amulet and lick across the symbol of Bane and the cleric's hands. Once the spell was completed, Rak would tuck the amulet back under his shirt to hide the light and go to sleep.
once in argos, Rak would curse the could and look towards his companions. "So where do we look for our killer now?"

After settling down for the night at the inn, Phineas would awake early the next morning, moving down to the common room to break his fast and talk to folk about happenings. In particular, the young halfling is looking for any word of trouble or possible issues the town has been experiencing -- outside of the blasted frozen curse. "Seem no matters where we be, the townfolk are having problems," Phineas casually offers to whomever he speaks. "These are dark times. Me and mine, well, we be just trying to provide a little light -- and, of course, raise a wee bit of coin for our troubles."

Mica joins the party at the table, enjoying a warming breakfast. Despite his unfamiliar appearance, he's curious as to what the villagers are staying - he'd noticed the extreme frosting of the water had prevented the ships from leaving the harbor. With his affinity for flames, Mica is considering aiding the villagers in burning away the ice clogging the ships. At the very least, he can create a few convenient holes for ice fishing.
He responds to Rak's comment with a quip about how Bremen was where Torg's could be. Targos was quaint, but not their target town.

during breakfast, you overhear that in Termalaine, the ten town east of Lonelywood, Speaker Masthew has closed one of the town’s lucrative gem mines. Apparently, a gang of kobolds crept into the mine and endangered some miners. Anyone who clears out the mine can expect to be well compensated.

Phineas makes a mental note on the kobolds, turning to Kilmus and saying. "Clearing a mine of those pesky fiends shouldn't be too hard. We should let the others know." He shoves another fistful of bacon into his mouth, speaking as crumbles fly about. "Perhaps we should take these here folk up on making a few ice holes. Sounds like easy coin, no?"

Mica takes out his Kobold-skull-on-a-chain. It should be evident he's well versed in killing Kobolds, but he offers to earn some coin by burning some holes in the ice floes first.
"Termalaine, Bremen?"he asks, pointing at the map. Termalaine was out of their way if they were headed for Bremen, but it lies very close to Lonelywood. If the party were to head to Termalaine first, they could head straight to Lonelywood. Maybe deal with the talking Moose, too. Mica reflects on his turn of fate and is surprised to be enjoying the company of such strangers that he happened to stumble on in a tavern back in Goodmead.

The dwarf eyes the metal. After a moment of scrutiny, he finally says. "No. I have no idea what kind of metal that is."

These towns are indeed in need of help, it seems.
