Kilmus carefully hauls Mica back up from his precarious position, and is pleasantly surprised to see what appears to be something approaching happiness on the warlocks face. 'Nicely done my friend, that was brave of you to throw yourself off and over the edge. Thank you for taking that risk to keep us all safe.'
As Rak repaired the lantern Kilmus would look on in interest 'Any fool can smash something it up, it takes true skill to fix that which has been broken'
'That lantern will come in handy, thank you for your efforts. Your patron will surely be pleased with your use of their boon. My eyes are not accustomed to the dark, we'll surely be grateful for the light that lantern brings as we delve ever deeper into this pit.'
After Rak repairs the lantern, He would grin at the praise from Kilmus. "Well I don't know of this lantern has any oil but..." The gith would open the lantern and place his hand inside. After placing a handful of ruby dust inside he would cast continual flame. Immediately a swirling vortex of flame would fill the lantern (I'll say it is whatever color Kilmis would want). Rak would then close the glass and iron door on the lantern before handling it to Kilmus. "maybe you can attach it to your halberd or tie it to your belt."
M3 -An underground river flows through the far side of this cavern, which is supported by a natural stone pillar near the water’s edge. Between you and the river are two halfling-sized gray rodents with long tails and beady eyes. They rush to attack as soon as you notice them.
Mica's so occupied with worrying about what could possibly be in the cave he doesn't notice the two rodents emerge, but his rogue arm jerks up and sends a pale blue Eldritch Blast at one of the rats. Attack: 6 Damage: 5
Mica was prepared. Mica was prepared before anything even started. Like freezing time, he saw everything and everyone. Except that miss. The shot indeed goes completely wild.
(ooc: I assume it took less than 10 minutes to kill the kobolds and make our way to the rats, ignore the bonus action. if it would have been too long.
Rak would race towards the rat that snapped at mica and swing both his greatsword and the spiritual one floating next to him.
Attack: 27 Damage: 21
bonus Attack: 25 Damage: 12
ooc: I had cast magic weapon on myself when we entered the mine in case you wonder why i have a plus 1 on my sword attack. If my first attack killed the rat, I would have attacked the second one with my bonus action.
Kilmus gratefully accepts the gift of the lantern with it's cool blus flame and ties it to his waist, letting the light spill out both in front and behind him as he walks. He's careful to leave a little extra rope hitched to the lantern to let him pull it out of his belt and hold out to illuminate things more properly as needed.
In fact, he's so enamored with his new toy and it's lovely light, that he completely misses the rodent's until Rak eviscerates both of them in the flash of an eye.
"Looks like we're having rat burgers tonight." Rak would say as he wipes the blood from his sword. "I suppose we should keep moving. Only a little of this first floor left to clear out I think before we can head down below.... not that I am looking forward to what we might find down there." The githyanki would say before placing his hand on Phin's shoulder and granting him guidance. "Ya swing those swords pretty well, mybe next time I'll let them live long enough for you to stab them" The gith would add with a cocky smirk.
M2- The floor in the east end of this dusty cave is five feet higher than in the west end, with a rocky ridge separating the two areas except for slopes on either side. Picks and shovels lean against the ridge. Small gem deposits in the ridge and the walls of the cave gleam seductively.
Mica glances around, satisfied the caves are empty. He momentarily ponders summoning his spectral whip and attempting to extract some gems, but then he expresses interest in continuing further down the cavern.
Rak would pull out the mining pick he took from the first room and attempt to mine some of the exposed gems, swinging hard with the pickaxes a few times just to see if he can quickly break any loose. "Alright bane, let's get something shiny" he mutters as he casts guidance on himself
Where to?
And let's say one, Rak.

WHACK! SMASH! go the two rats, dead and dead. The only sound left in the cavern is the rushing river just a few feet ahead.

You pick out an acorn-sized tourmaline, flawed (10 gp)
Kilmus would hold his position near the entrance and cover the group as Phin completed his assessment and Rak did a bit of exploratory mining.
'That seemed easy enough Rak - maybe we should become miners instead of itinerant adventurers. '
(It took him a whole hour to excavate that lol)
