Carlar lets go and takes slight offence to Yara's tone. She continues to whisper, annoyed and cold,
'Keep your voice down. Silly elf? I'm Carlar. Daughter of Caphaxath and, right now, that's all you need to know.'
Carlar notices that everyone seems fresh from some sort of battle and decides it is best to hide her annoyance for now as she hasn't quite sussed out this group.
I is Yara. She then points to the party, They’s rescued me from fort dungeon, so I follow them here. I owe them debt, so you’s better not be thinking of trying to attack us. We saw a light coming from this cave and wanted to have a look.
Yara looks around the cave, What is this place? Why’s you hiding in a cave?
'So you just wanted to have a look. This cave is one of many surrounding the Temple of the Crashing Wave Cult. And quite frankly it's miraculous you made your way up the lake unharmed and into the cave with the noise you were making... the guards don't take kindly to visitors. It's taken a while to get here and whatever they're up to, it can't be good'
Carlar looks around cautiously, checking no one else has heard the party arrive, and seeing if there is anything of interest she can use to get past.
Peeking round the bluff, Carlar can a bridge just up ahead. She sees four lightly armoured Crushing Wave fighters and one wearing robes. They are listening to a more well armoured woman with a lance.
A fin is moving back and forth in the water under the bridge.
Tries as he might, Nibor cannot bring to mind any stories or reading on this Capaxath...
From his wanderings however, he recognises the fin as that of a hunter shark. He knows that they normally hunt alone but that they are particularly dangerous when they scent blood on injured prey.
Oh good more of those watery nut jobs..... what do want to do? Sneak past them? Wait for them to leave or take them out? Rollo’s musket has great range but it’s not terribly subtle
Hoho, watery nut jobs, wonderful! Maybe Ms Carlar here could offer some insight on what her plans are before we decide? The bridge puts us at a bit of disadvantage for a spot for a scrap and this does seem their turf...and besides, that fin down there is making me slightly wary...
'Well they won't be leaving any time soon. I haven't found one entrance that isn't guarded so I say we sneak past... are you in? Taking them out might be too much of a... disturbance and I haven't quite figured out just how strong they are in numbers while I've been down here'
Carlar looks at the party with anticipation. She also notices the fin and knows these beings act to protect members of the cult with blind loyalty.
My armour doesn’t help being quiet in this configuration and it will take me too long to change it. I’m happy to try stealth as long as we are prepared to deal with having to go loud
'Hmmm well I'd say it's best to try and sneak past and take them out as a last resort rather than cause a whole ruckus from the get go. What do you say?'
Carlar doesn't take her eyes off of the watery nut jobs just in case they hear.
Carlar moves with the others and fidgets at the possibility of a fight with the watery robed members. She does her best to avoid falling on the slippery rocks.
Carlar grabs Yara by the arm and whispers Don't make another sound...
She notices that Yara is dripping wet, but unharmed. She notices everyone else is in the same position and whilst cautious, she is intrigued.
So. You did the whole 'sign of the Crashing Wave' thing to avoid the ghouls too?
Yara frowns at the elf in the confusion, looking at her hand gripping Yara’s arm in mild annoyance, Who’s you? Let go silly elf.
Yara looks her up and down, but cautiously replies, We’s came from the fort up the river. Stupid boat. Stupid ghouls.
A puddle of water is slowly forming around Yara, from her dripping wet clothes and hair, making her look even more miserable.
'What brings you this way?'
I is Yara. She then points to the party, They’s rescued me from fort dungeon, so I follow them here. I owe them debt, so you’s better not be thinking of trying to attack us. We saw a light coming from this cave and wanted to have a look.

'Well, it's nice to meet you Yara...'
Carlar turns to the rest of the party.
'So you just wanted to have a look. This cave is one of many surrounding the Temple of the Crashing Wave Cult. And quite frankly it's miraculous you made your way up the lake unharmed and into the cave with the noise you were making... the guards don't take kindly to visitors. Rollo steps forward, tipping his hat to Carlar
”Greetings. I am Rollo. What may I ask are you doing down here?” He says raising his crossbow ready incase the guards notice them
Well met my...friend? You'll forgive our wariness, one thing led to another and here we are, this tends to happen to our bunch of late it seems!
Nibor racks his noggin on the name Caphaxath 4, if he spotted the fin he'll ponder on that as well (Nature 12)
Tries as he might, Nibor cannot bring to mind any stories or reading on this Capaxath...
From his wanderings however, he recognises the fin as that of a hunter shark. He knows that they normally hunt alone but that they are particularly dangerous when they scent blood on injured prey.
Having fought a few of them now, Rollo and Coal recognise the garb of the robed cultist as likely to be that of a fathomer
Oh good more of those watery nut jobs..... what do want to do? Sneak past them? Wait for them to leave or take them out? Rollo’s musket has great range but it’s not terribly subtle

I’s is not the best at the sneaking …that’s how’s I got caught at that fort. I’s can try though…
Yara mumbles, looking a bit embarrassed.

Coal gives a little sigh and then tries to move stealthily with the others. 14
Yara figures there’s a first time for everything and attempts to stick to the shadows, trying not to draw attention.
