After a bit longer Kallista puts her stuff away and heads back downstairs, silently sitting with the others.

"Going back to Hon then?" Kallista asks after a moment.

Leon leans back, staying quiet. It would be appear that his companions had misgivings about returning to Hon, and he couldn't blame them. Too many memories...both good and bad.
His eyes glance down to his old wooden practice sword, scuffed and scratched. Leon remembers the promise he made- that he would take vengeance against the Skell for the people of Hon. He wasn't going to give up on that.

Aelar nods at Kallista, his keen eyes not missing the signs of emotion but not wanting to embarrass the tiefling any. In many ways, she had it the hardest. Not only losing her home and the only family she'd known but coming to a new place and dealing with the stupid prejudice which always seemed to follow her.
"That's what we're talking about, Kallista. Sir Geoffrey thinks we can keep up with our training and research while we're there and help the Guiston troops get the town ready for defense. What do you think?"
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
Kallista shrugs, "Sure... if that's what everyone else wants to do."

Kina taps the table then.
"I'll see about making arrangements in the morning for the kite, then. While it might not be much of a novelty for Kallista, I doubt the rest of you have experienced traveling by kite. It's a pretty spectacular way to go." she says.
"Don't worry about your things while y'all are away, either. I'll keep your rooms well secured till y'all get back." Hana adds.
Geoffrey sits up and nods.
"And I'll see about pulling out those favors so that you have the research materials you boys need in the morning." he says, glancing at Hyre and Aelar.
He then turns to Leon and Lazlo.
"And you two, you'd better come with me, I might have something for you." he states.
Grimbuld similarly needs to get back to his shop to finalize the preparation on the billhooks so he can pay the group for the extras they managed to capture. Seems he already has a buyer lined up for the plumage.
He bids the group goodnight, hesitates, and then glances back towards Raia.
"Out of respect for your boy, I will try and be a little more trusting of your motives, dragon." he mutters, low enough that only those at the table can hear.
Hana and Kina get involved in talking about centaur things, and Raia continues to feast, long after the rest of you are full. She has a LOT of strength to regain, or it's just rage-chewing. It's hard to say.
Carmine continues to load her affections on Lazlo, locking horns with him and gently teasing him about trying to say goodbye before they actually have to part, kidding him about trying to wriggle out of their romance.

Lazlo glances to Leon and then to Sir Geoffrey “Lead on, Sir. Ready when you are.” Then he turns toward Carrie, laughing. “Lady believe me, I’d sooner put an eye out than rid myself of you. Although.. I think I’d look rather striking with an eyepatch.”

(I think I understand what's going on between Raia and Grimbuld now, and it feels like it took me too long lol.)
Hyre nods downwards as a 'thank you' sign. Then, he turns to Barna. It's easy to deduct he has no ulterior motives behind the words. "Well, I think I will retire for the night. I am tired and... I probably need to check what clothes you've left me, too." Then, he stands up and goes up to his room, to check on his things and then take a good night's rest.

Barna follows Hyre, rather, overtakes him on his way to his room. She speaks incredibly quickly, to the point that Hyre doesn't really catch EVERY word she says, but he's pretty sure he hears 'left something in your room' somewhere in there as she streaks by him. When he gets to the second floor, he sees her clutching something in her arms before darting into the bathroom, presumably to change.
Barna didn't disturb much of Hyre's belongings, though it's clear she slept in his bed and did indeed keep one of his shirts to cuddle with because his bed is still unmade. He has nearly his full wardrobe to pick from now, as well as a pretty solid collection of his personal items from his room. They're not put up anywhere, but just having them on his dresser makes the little room he shares feel a little more like home.
Barna, when she's done changing, holds the stretched shirt with the popped button.
"I'll fix it tonight and give it to you tomorrow morning, before we leave." she murmurs.
Geoffrey looks to Hana, and clears his throat.
"Do you still have some of our old soldiering gear in storage upstairs?" he asks. Hana looks surprised, then nods.
"I believe I do. Let me take a look." she says, seeming to know exactly what Geoffrey is talking about. She returns shortly holding a small chest. Sitting on her withers, she opens it up and drags out an old gambesson war suit that proudly bears the colors of the knight's brigade. There's also a pair of swords inside. One is a two-handed footman's long blade, but with a broader, more sturdy edge meant for plunging deep into the hides of beasts. The other is a cavalry saber.
"Try the gambesson on, Leon. You look the same size as I was when I was your age. It's the uniform I wore when I first enlisted. If you're going to train to be a soldier, you'd better have something that can soften the hardships of training. And for young Lazlo, the standard sidearm of those in the 'support' roles. Many pipers would have had this hanging from their hip alongside their instruments in case things got too heated." Geoffrey says.
"Oh, MY, how dashing!" Carrie says, swooning over the idea of Lazlo in a musketeer's outfit.
"Use them with my blessing. Certainly I have no use for them anymore." Geoffrey says, leaning back in his chair. "They survived my days of reckless youth, they should hold up for you. The swords will need sharpening, though. They're all but blunt by now, I would think."
Grimbuld, on his way out, notices the old chest Geoffrey brings out and his generosity. His eyes flick over to Kallista, who still has Grimbuld's old short bow and 'cutter' arrows.
"You can hold onto that bow, for now. I haven't used it in months. You can give it back when you return, if you don't like it." he mutters in his usual grumpy tone.

Kallista nods, "Thank you Sir."

Leon gingerly handles the gambesson warsuit, sweeping his fingers over the faded knight's emblem. He looks to Sir Geoffery with a hint of nervousness.
"Sir...are you sure it's proper for me to wear the colors of your brigade?"
He hefts the sturdy long blade, feeling it's unfamiliar weight. After a few practice slashes, his arm already felt tired. It would take a bit of getting used to. Yet, it would be his first real weapon.
Placing the sword back into it's scabbard, he says, "I don't know how to express my gratitude. But I will make sure that this sword once more brings glory to the Knights of Guiston."

"Thank you , Sir- this is magnificent!" Lazlo gingerly holds the blade in hand, trying to get used to the feel of it. "I thought it would be heavy but... it's a really light sabre! Carrie, I think you have to give me a token of yours, like a kerchief or something to tie to my swordbelt? For luck!" he laughs.

((Rocks fall on Lazlo. Big ones. When they hit, they explode into smaller rocks that look like testicles. XD ))
Grimbuld nods to Kallista before he retreats to his shop for the night.
"Don't be gone too long. I've grown accustomed to having an assistant." he mutters.
Geoffrey slaps his knee and laughs when he sees Leon in his old uniform.
"Well, would you look at that. I had no idea I'd gained so much weight since those days! It suits you, Leon. Don't worry yourself over the emblem. It's a relic of a time long past... but it does my heart good to see it getting some use again." Geoffrey says.
Carrie hmmms and grins, deftly reaching into her bodice to withdraw a soft, frilly handkerchief of some kind. It's perfumed.
"It's how I keep so spring-meadow fresh during our performances. It's no good to work up a sweat if you smell like a barn afterwards and stink out the patrons." she winks.
"Even moreso in the valley between the twin peaks."

Just wanted to check in, the gambesson war suit is leather armor? Or padded? And the long blade, I'm guessing, is a longsword?)

Aelar observes the excitement of his friends with pleasure, glad they've gotten something of their own. Seeing his chance, he moves over and sits next to Kallista after Grimbuld leaves.
"It's a nice bow, Kallista. That's nice of Mr. Grimbuld. You know, despite that gruff manner he shows the world, he's a good guy." Turning to face her, he asks, "Are you alright, Kallista? Do you want to talk about anything?"
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
"He's a real good man," Kallista agrees, "I'm glad that he still wants me to work with him even though I make so many mistakes." When he asks about how she's doing, her face falls a little as she dumps her small bag of rocks out onto the table, carefully spreading them out to look. "I'm alright," she says quietly.

"I thought you're going to keep it?" Wrong again? "Well, I guess I'll say good night now." To wrap the awkward scene up, not sure what to do, Hyre waves his hand awkwardly, pretty sure it wasn't the right gesture.
After Barna leaves, Hyre quickly goes over his things. He was never a collector of many items, so there are only a few, and nothing of great importance to him. An odd stick that to him looked similar tona snake, though others said it looks like a normal stick; a failed attempt of his to make a quill out of a feather and also a successful one, that had broken long ago; and a few other trinkets.
He organizes the room a little - no need for Lazlo to find it like this. Then, he searches for his journal and the quill. He thought, maybe he should take it with him. Write down everything he learns. That way, if he forgets, he could always read it again. Hyre tries to write down what he remembered learning during the latest expedition, but he realises eventually that it isn't much. Only a couple things about himself and the others. Oh well, it was also worth writing down.
After he's done, he puts it away and goes to sleep.

Aelar wishes she wasn't so hard on herself but, not wanting to contradict her about mistakes, says, "Well, you're idea of 'alright' and mine, they don't match. Tell you what...you just talk and I'll just listen but we'll both pretend I'm doing my mental talk thing with Raia." The elf then pastes a faraway look on his face, like he's doing some intense thinking or communicating telepathically or whatever he does with Raia.

"I will treasure it, always." the Satyr says and tucks the kerchief into his belt as he buckles on the sabre. Turning to Sir Geoffrey he says "I, too will wield this blade with pride. It is an honor, Sir. Thank you." Then in a whisper to Sir Geoffrey he says "what do I do with the token now that I have it? The sagas only tell so much..."
