Kina moves. 23
Kina charges the patriarch of her herd and slams her feet into him from the side, catching him off-guard.
7
After striking with her front hooves, she leaps up, and with a feat of acrobatics that one wouldn't expect from a centaur, spins in midair to slam her rear hooves into his face as her bonus action.

Aelar staggers aside, panting from the exertion, a little wide-eyed at having won the fight.
"Wow! I can't believe how that went," he says looking at this friends. Then a blur of movement dashes past and he turns to see Kina attacking the leader. His mouth gapes at her power and grace!
"Go, Kina!"
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
The herdmaster goes tumbling as Kina lands in a fighting stance, low, arms spread, and graceful. She's been trained.
Halgrave is seriously injured from the attack, and now the centaurs are in shock at what they've just witnessed. They're not sure what to do.
Halgrave clutches his bleeding jaw, a tooth hanging loose from his lip.
"They won't.... follow you, half-breed WHORE." he grunts, as some of the centaurs move to pick their leader up.
"I don't WANT them to follow me. I don't need your herd." Kina responds, and spits at the ground in front of Halgrave.
Kina turns her back on the centaurs and goes to Aelar, putting her hand on his shoulder with a gentle smile.
"Come on... let's go. There's nothing more for us here." she says, buckling herself up into the wagon again.
DM, professional illustrator and comic artist, suffering from severe spinal stenosis, married, middle aged, and nerdy.
Lazlo, for once is stunned into silence. He follows Kina, clapping Aelar on the back as he goes.
Fleabag Fleabane -Tabaxi Ranger | Lenny Coggins- Halfling Barbarian | Sid Shatterbuckle- Dwarf Fighter/Rogue| Lazlo - Satyr Bard in Training
Kallista watches as it all unfolds. "Sorry Kina..."
Elra Skylash - Human Cleric | Vanzaren Tanidoni - Half Elf Wizard
Mindartis Liadon - Eladrin Barbarian | Naivara Siannodel - Half Elf Ranger
Arrila Evenwood - Half Elf Paladin | Callaphe of Setessa - Human Rogue
Katernin Nemetsk - Aasimar Cleric | Melody - Tiefling Bard
Kina picks up the pace a bit as the cart bounces along.
"Don't worry. They're not going to shoot at us or attack us again. Halgrave broke the law first when he tried to charge Aelar for an honest win in a match with nothing more than pride on the line. You probably didn't even know where you hit him, not that Jerren was much of a match for you in the first place." Kina says, looking back.
"To attack an unarmed colt--err--young one, and to do so by surprise? Utterly shameful. He broke tradition, and by our law, when a leader willingly breaks tradition, anyone is within their right to challenge the leader. Even if he ordered the others to, they won't attack us. Halgrave will be lucky if one of his lieutenants doesn't take the opportunity to usurp his position right now." she explains.
Kina looks to Kallista and smiles. "You know what? I'm not. I was never part of that herd, not really. There are others I can join, when I feel like it. For now, I think I have better company." she says, looking back to Aelar.
"That was a foolish risk you took... but thank you all the same. You too, Lazlo."
DM, professional illustrator and comic artist, suffering from severe spinal stenosis, married, middle aged, and nerdy.
Aelar nods. "Yes, it was foolish. But my father hated bullies and so do I." He looks a little sheepishly at the others. "I am sorry I spoke up, though. I could have endangered everyone."
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
(Aelar gains 5 points to monk AND 1 success towards a CHA and DEX increase XD and Lazlo earns 5 more points to bard and rogue for utilizing a silver tongue.)
(And to think all that took place because of a failed intimidation roll! XD I love D&D)
DM, professional illustrator and comic artist, suffering from severe spinal stenosis, married, middle aged, and nerdy.
ooc: Aelar now has 2 CHA successes. At 3 he gets a chance to increase his CHA, right?
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
(That's right!)
(I need to read back in the logs, I can't remember if Lazlo succeeded in a persuasion check in all of that)

ooc: Aelar also has 2 successes for Perception
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
(Perception is a passive skill, it doesn't need to be trained, does it? Like, you don't need to be a certain class to get a bonus to it, it's just something that anyone can do and they get a bonus from ability scores)
DM, professional illustrator and comic artist, suffering from severe spinal stenosis, married, middle aged, and nerdy.
ooc: Absolutely Perception can be trained. Police train for it all the time, so does the military. It's true that everyone can do it, but everyone can sing and everyone can carve. Some are just better at those things and some are just more perceptive and it is a skill. My mother's perception is crazy high. In D&D5E it is a skill that you can get both Proficiency and Expertise in. So, it seems it should be included in these, but your the DM. Your call.
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
(Oop! Nope, you're completely right. I just saw it when looking through the various classes, some do have extra proficiency in perception, persuasion, intuition and investigation. I'll go back and tally those up too, all the cases where it was your roll against something else's or could be counted as 'practice'. I thought those were just 'passive' skills.)

Leon:1/3 stealth
Hyre:1/3 stealth
(Don't worry about the bad dice rolls in the wilds, you'll have plenty more opportunities to train in Guiston. After looking back in the logs, wow, the dice really aren't nice!)

Leon mulls over a troubled mind. He wonders what his life was going to be like in Guiston, how he would survive off the small amount of a coin the group had. And most of all, he feels a burning vengeance against the invaders of Hon. He was going to make them pay, he was sure of that.
When the fight breaks out between the centuar Kina and the members of the group, Leon is briefly startled from his contemplation and readies his spear. Upon realizing it was just a friendly brawl, he leans back into his hiding spot and continues immersing himself in his thoughts.
(Apologize for the post delay. Had a very busy couple of days, hopefully I'll have more time over the break!)
DMing:
Solo Hoard of the Dragon Queen
Playing:
Baral- Coliseum of Conquest, Lazarus Vernon- Tale of Mercenaries; Bernard Lionsbane- Solo Curse of Strahd
Kina looks back to Kallista.
"I'm sorry it had to come this way, but you have independence now. You're all going to have to find your own way, just like me." she says.
She notices the herd catching up again, but this time, they give the group a WIDE birth and thunder on ahead. Kina smirks, then looks back to the group.
"I have connections in Guiston, but nobody I know in town has space for six kids... at least indoors. I'm going to see if I can stay in the stables of a farmer I've worked for in the past who will be happy to have extra hands. The pay won't be good, but Goodwin farm includes a hot meal every day worked, and it will be at least safer than huddling down in The Ritz." she says. "There's also my blacksmith, Brian... well, I guess you could say he's my cobbler, technically, who might be able to use some strong arms, and Serena, who owns the Silver Horseshoe Saloon in the Warren... the place has a high turnover rate, so she might be hiring." she says, looking apologetic.
"I'll come help you out when I can. Any extra money I earn, I'll bring to you. If I hear of work, I'll let you know. Whatever I can do."
(It's okay, I just hope I things didn't race off without you! If you feel like you're going to need a few days before you can post, like if things are getting busy, please do NOT be afraid to ask for a 'hold'. We're all in multiple threads, we have other campaigns to play while we wait. If it's really okay if the RP keeps going though, you can also ask for a quick recap from me to catch up on what you missed, just PM me.)

"Thanks for the info, Kina. How long before we reach Guiston, do you think?" Aelar asks respectfully.
