Lena is going to try and cast entangle on the goblins, in an attempt to restrain them.(OOC:As long as the goblins are within 20ft of each other. If they are not I'm just aiming for the lazy one.)
Initiative: 12
OOC: The area around the goblins in a 20ft cube is now difficult terrain and if the goblins are in the area that is affected they need to make strength saving throws(DC 12) or they are restrained.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Lena channels her Entangle spell, causing weeds and vines to sprout out of the ground and start restraining the two goblins.)
"What the...?"
Strength saving throw: 13
Initiative: 16
(As the vines grasp at the goblins, Carxus'Fire Bolt flies at the serious goblin, but just barely misses him by mere inches. Nikta's crossbow bolt also misses, but Gerard's Longbow shot is right on the mark, hitting the serious one in the chest, killing him instantly!
Lorys shoots her arrow at the Lazy Goblin's legs, and hits him right in the thigh! The goblin howls in pain as he fights off the vines, but they have a good grip of him. The lazy goblin, full of adrenaline and panic, tries to free himself again (Goblin got a 22 Initiative).
Strength saving throw: 6)
Yelling in goblin:
"Help! Help! We're under attack!"
(The goblin frees himself (disengaging as a bonus action) and runs screaming his little goblin head off towards the entrance. He gets to the broken stone archway and doors before the party realizes the slippery little git is running to warn his friends.)
Carxus tiebreaker: 9
Lorys tiebreaker: 4
DM's notes: The lazy goblin is at the entrance of the tomb and the stones around the entrance are providing him with half cover (+2 AC) He's now 150 feet from the main party and about 110 feet from the party in the north. You're all going to have to move if you want to attack him before he gets down the stairs.
(The sound of ice cracking as the Ray of Frost finds its mark stops the screaming of the lazy Goblin, who falls over dead at the doorway a few short feet from having escaped. The party is unsure whether to be relieved or not, as they’re not sure if the Goblin’s warnings were heard.)
DMs note: I need everyone to give me a Perception check, an Initiative check (to not hold up the next encounter) and, if you’re going down the stairs I need to know the order you’re walking in. Please let me know what you are doing as well.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I look down at my crossbow and inspect it for whatever cause it to fire so widely. I'm normally a much better shot... Then look up... "Guess I should try to get down some subdual spells."
Initiative: 17
Perception: 17
(and due to my relative squishiness and at least moderately decent ranged attack with Eldritch Blast, I'd prefer to be somewhere in the middle of the pack if we're going in. Also, I'm apparently barely aware of where we are with that perception roll.)
DM's note: Just waiting for Lory's rolls. In the meantime, if you want to go down the stairs please pick a number between 1-5 to determine party order, until we're out of numbers. Sorry, can't think of a better way, someone's probably going to be stuck with whatever's left.Or if you want to do something else, just let me know. Also, just a hint, looting the dead bodies is usually a good idea. :)
(The party waits expectantly, looking at the entrance, their bows ready...
...
...
But nothing happens. It seems like the lazy Goblin's cries were not loud enough to have alerted any Goblins inside the tomb. You all peer thru the partially opened stone doors and see some stone stairs going down into darkness, but the angles and lack of light keep you all from seeing more than 10-15 feet in.)

“Hey guys! The voice in my head just reminded me - before we delve, let’s loot. I’ll search the lazy guy.” Squats down next to lazy goblin, “maybe if you weren’t so lazy, you’d not be dead... but probably not. Good life choice.”
(4 for marching order, and 19 for investigation, if a roll is necessary)
(Gerard searches the serious Goblin and finds a bunch of silvers totaling 1 gp (which is actually a good amount for a Goblin) as well as a rusty shortsword, decent shortbow and ratty leather armor.)
(Nikta searches the lazy Goblin, but only finds the same crappy sword and leather armor, 2 copper, what appears to be a stinkbomb, and the Goblin nudie magazine. Nikta glances at the magazine, but looks away quickly in disgust, looking like he’s trying not to throw up.)
“Well, they’re not coming to us. I’ll go first,” says Gerard.
(The party pushes the heavy, broken stone doors open, fully revealing the dark staircase. Gerard goes down first, followed by Carxus, Lena and Nikta, with Lorys bringing up the rear.
You go down a long, narrow corridor in very low light that’s about 40 feet long. As you near the end of the tunnel, the entrance opens up into a large, dimly lit room, but, because of the angles and light, you all can only see about half of the room. Even those of you with Darkvision see very little and only in black and white. You all are about 10 feet from the entrance. The closer you get to the entrance, the more of the room you can see. Suddenly...)
”Help! Help me! I’m a little girl!” cries a small voice.
(The scene before you all is horrifying: A Goblin about 50 feet away from the entrance stands before a small, prone, child-like figure you can only assume is Bess. The Goblin has a sword drawn above his head and looks to be getting ready to hack her to pieces! You all can’t see the Goblin completely, as he has cover from a stone pillar, but you hear Bess let out a little scream.)
Spoiler for Lena
You're not sure, since you are in the middle of the order and you don't see well in the dark, but for a second you could have sworn Bess' skin had a green tint, like if she was really sick. Or maybe it's just the lighting...
DMs note: Ok, bullet time, everyone tell me what you do. If you take a shot at the Goblin just know you’ll have disadvantage unless you’re in the room since you’re trying not to hit Bess (I assume) and the Goblin has cover.

Lorys draws an arrow from her quiver and aims it at a non-lethal part of the lazy goblin's body before loosing.

Nikta quietly cocks and readies his own crossbow, takes a breath, and pings one bolt off at the serious goblin along with the party...

Lena lets out a sad little,"Oh." at the fact that they couldn't keep a goblin alive. She turns to her companions.
"Well then, should we stay out here and see if more come rushing out, or go in and take our chances with an ambush?"
