Petmailer is really mad at this point, tired of getting pelted by the kobolds. "Fine." He grits his teeth and backs off out of range of the slings, to approximately 50-60 ft from them, backpedaling toward the area that they found them. He breathes hard and gets a second wind.
The threats near her successfully dispatched, Harmony looks to the kobolds in the distance and singles out the one who is already injured. "Yeah, we are going to kill you, so why don't you die now and make it easier for us?" She calls out to it.

Petmailer shots another kobold, killing them with ease. Before the injured kobold could do or say anything else, Harmony's words reach him and he makes a pained expression, taking his claws to his head for a moment before falling.
Terrified, the surviving kobold checks on him. Confirming that he's dead now as well, he tries to escape, but Gunra is there to stop him before he can run from there. A powerful strike from the tortle's battleaxe later, and the small creature is no more. The combat is over.

If she's satisfied that there's nobody around, she'll pocket the dagger of the fallen kobold nearest her and start searching their bodies and the campsite for anything useful or valuable.
Within the dead kobolds' belongings, you find the dagger, and a now bloodstained letter written on Draconic. You don't know the language, but you can recognize the words "Dragon", "Queen" and "servants" from when you had to pretend to be the voice of Tiamat.
Petmailer sees the note and asks Kane to read it to them. "You know how to speak dragon, right?" He lets out a long sigh. "I'm tired... of fighting. Why wouldn't they listen? Why does it have to be like this?" He pulls his arrows vigorously out of the kobold bodies. He drags their bodies to the camp site and hides them as best as he can. He takes a look from the vantage point of the camp, was this a lookout post?
"I feel that we should be much more careful from here on in. We cannot fight them at the camp. Subterfuge is the only way to achieve our goal. Speaking of which, let's talk about what we should be looking for. One, still looking for Milo. Two, likewise, check in on Leosin. Three, finding these dragon eggs and or masks and Four, learning the cult's plans. Does that sound about right? I'm tired and a little hurt from those evil little buggers, does someone else wish to lead the way from here?" Petmailer shoots you all a tired smile.
Kane takes the note and reads it out loud for everyone. He too is tired of fighting. But if that’s what it takes to keep the people he cares about safe, he doesn’t regret anything he has done to these kobolds.
The letter seems to have been written by one of the now dead kobolds, as the caligraphy is a little garbled, and there's bits that have been crudely striked out. Obviously, the kobold writing this wrote things that they regretted as soon as they wrote them and tried their best to erase them. It reads:
To the Dragon Lady,

Praised be Tiamat's glory for your kindness in helping us take back our home. Me and my humble tribe are doing and will do whatever it takes to help bring about the dragon queen's return. But after we fought bravely and we were about to win, Cyanwrath ordered us to retreat! We didn't even got to kill the Scatterheart vixen! This was not part of the deal.
We want our ancient lands back, and we want to kill all those who keep stealing it from us. We don't care about TiaWe are as impatient to bring our Queen back as you are, praised be her glory, but we also want what it was promised to us. We have been nothing but loyal servants to you, haven't we earned a little something? Take some pity on us.

Your miserable servant,

Gunra's head is cocked to the side as Kane reads the letter aloud. He had felt some sympathy for the kobolds they had been slaying recently. While the creatures certainly had the capacity to be cruel and sadistic, they always seemed to be mistreated in any of their dealings with the other races or greater organizations.

"Let's keep the letter and continue on the trail. Anyone need a short rest here?" Petmailer tends to the cuts and bruises the kobolds made with the slings. He walks around the campsite to see if there is anything else useful, including any of the kobold food for rations.
After Petmailer inspects the bodies, Kane will follow bending him and gather them into a pile. Even though they were enemies, they deserved the respect of a burial. At first, Kane thought about burning them, but decided that the smoke would draw unwanted attention. “Hey Gunra, could you help me dig a pit?”

Harmony makes a lap around the campsite, using prestidigitation to clean the blood and grime off herself, her companions, and anything else she can. She then finds a tree or rock she can sit and lean against, swinging her lute onto her lap and plucking a gentle melody to pass the time. After a minute, she begins to imbue the notes with subtle healing magic.

Nurm meditates for a while and summons his Unseen servant, which he orders to help the others with their digging. When he is done with the summoning he joins Harmony and the others near the camp. I wonder who this "Dragon Lady" is. I was under the impression that the cultists' leader is the dragonborn we've already met, but the kobold letter implies it might not be so.
Digging the hole, the grass' surprising strong roots give you some trouble, but as soon as those are done with the soil is soft and easy to dig into. Gunra, your hands and claws are getting dirty, but the hole is now big enough for at least one of the dead kobolds. Making it big enough for all of them will take a little more time.
Attracted by the smell of the half-cooked meat the kobolds had been cooking, a lone wolf starts moving towards where you are. It could also be smelling the blood of the corpses, but whatever the case might be you can still see it approaching your location, sniffing the air.
