Wick does not mind if Raja wishes to keep the blood stone, he does believe we should return the pearl to Raphail but understands the advantage the pearl gives to the team. Wick will explore the village and see if he can glean interest in the Jeffery.
Please make an Investigation check and note that there are 8 pearls in total.
Raja intends to sell the bloodstone and split the proceeds with Wick. It's only fair, since he moved the rocks. He's only giving 20 of the 50, though, because greedy kitty.
You may make an Investigation check to find a buyer in your present location (the small village of Borgstrand) or you may travel to a larger city and find a jeweler or other interested buyer without a check. The nearest large town, High Hills, is a several-day ride to the south and the next nearest, the even larger city of Adaern (where you might get a better price), is a slightly longer ride to the southwest.
Grigor is also in favor of returning the pearls. If the party wishes to attempt to remove the buzzjewels from the mine, he will suggest that the party purchase pearls elsewhere in preparation for the attempt.
Warren also wishes to return the pearls to Raphail. During the downtime, he searches for a store that may sell healing potions and for news of threats to eliminate.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Investigation Check for Jeffery: 2
Wick has leveled up! (lvl 3)
Wick has gained the "Hunter" Archetype, he has learned the Colossus Slayer technique. When Wick successfully hits a creature with a weapon attack, if the creature is below its maximum hit points Wick will deal an additional 1d8 damage. He may do this only once per turn.
He has also learned "Primeal Awareness" as an action Wick may use one spell slot and for 1 minute he will be able to sense the presence of any aberrations, celestials, dragons, elementals, fey, fiends, or undead are present within 1 mile or up to 6 miles if in his favored terrain "Forrest". This feature doesn’t reveal the creatures’ location or number in the area.

A local healer has 3 potions of healing for sale at 30 gp each. It might be possible to haggle him down with a persuasion (or other social skill) check, if you wish to try.
As for news of threats, two off-duty members of the village militia are heard discussing a recent string of reported wild animal attacks on the main road leading toward Adaern - they seem concerned that traveling merchants will raise enough of a stink that the village elders will decide the militia needs to patrol farther afield and deal with such nuisances.
If you wish to seek out any other rumors or potential jobs/quests, please make either a perception check (just keeping an ear out) or an investigation check (actively trying to find info).

Unfortunately, Wick learns of no one even remotely interested in aquiring Jeffrey. In fact, several of the villagers don't even stay long enough for Wick to finish speaking, favoring a hasty retreat from the glittery creepy-crawly over social tact.
Upon any inquiry Griffen shrugs and says "pearls? I don't remember seeing any pearls."
He is strongly in favor of returning to the mine and reclaiming it for the party. A solid source of income would be welcome.
If necessary, it is possible to hire additional muscle for such a task, though it would take a bit of effort, luck, or time to find suitable hirelings.
Raja finds not only a buyer, but a buyer urgently in need of an uncut bloodstone for a commissioned piece of jewelry. He has run into so many dead-ends that he immediately offers to pay extra should Raja part with the stone. He will give Raja 75 gp for the stone.

Warren will pay 60gp for two of the potions (character sheet updated).
He also proposes that the group deal with the upsurge in animal hostility, reasoning that the militia members could pay them back by providing support in the mine-clearing.

If the group wishes to undertake a brief side quest to eliminate the threat on the roads, you might gain coin, favors, or (with a good persuasion check) both from the village.
[OOG: this would be a very brief side quest resolved in PBP with a few checks, a little combat, and a bit of luck.]
While Remdesivir and Griffen - who may join in short order - remain behind (presumably on their own business or leisure), the rest of the party chooses to aid the town in eliminating the animal threat which has been plaguing traveling merchants.
Wick moves on ahead, he intends to scout the area reported to have an animal threat.
Investigation roll:20
Though the party has nothing to go on but a brief overheard conversation (and no guarantee of any payment or favors as no one seems to have sought out an employer - though perhaps goodwill for aid freely offered may result in some reward), Wick and Warren manage to discover both the remains of what appears to be a destroyed horse-drawn merchant wagon and a set of large paw prints leading away from the scene. Judging by the blood stains around the wagon's harness and in scattered pools about the area, both the horse and probably at least one passenger of the wagon were killed. Oddly enough, one of the wagon's wheels is gone with splinters of wet wood scattered about - almost as if the wheel had exploded.

Sold. I will give 20 to Wick, as promised.

Warren sticks with Wick and lends his observational skills.

Warren will pick around the site, seemingly muttering to himself about the destruction.
