Ash, you open the door... inside you find a room which seems to be a library of sorts. That is all the info you get along with the updated map without any checks and/or going in the room.
Ash walks slowly into the south room, knees bent, moving like silk. Prowling... She moves into the centre of the room and tries to takes a proper look around...
"Only magic in this one... Okay well I see you will need to take your time. I will go see how Ash is doing. Ess you watching the hall and that hatch? Don't want anymore surprises."
He crosses the hall and gives the room Ash is in a once over for magic glows then a more 'detailed' check.
As Ben enters, Ash jumps, “Gods! Don’t do that!... *sigh*.... What do you make of this? Books.... Anything magical?... ... ..You think we’re dealing with a wizard here?... Witch?...”.
Ash, you slink into the library. Most of the shelves are broken, and in many places they have come away from the wall. The few shelves still intact are empty, but a pile of books rests in the southwest corner covered with cobwebs and vermin droppings.
Korrik, you can't seem to pick the drawer lock. It's too small. The other one is not locked and if someone opened it, they'd see it's empty.
Ess says "Yep, roger that my homeboy." and he goes to the entrance to the trap door room and takes a listen. Perception 2
"All clear out here, my dude."
Ben, you don't sense any magical auras in the library, and see the same things that Ash has.
"Books don't make me think wizard, Ash but someone cast a spell on the trapdoor. This room is free of magic, and it look like anything else of value."
Ben wanders over to the the pile of books and prestidigitates them clean before looking through them. If they seem interesting, and in good enough shape he'll put them in his bag. He will poke his head back into where Korrik is working,
Ash shuffles through behind Korrik and holds the drawer still for him, and offers to hold one of the picks while he tries again from a better angle... ((providing the help action for advantage to Korrik on another roll?)).
Korrik's having a feeling of things repeating themselves.
"I'm way outta practice, didn't tickle any locks at the monastery. That last lock on the chest took me a forking day to crack. Leave it and come back? Unless you're good at locks, Ash?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ash steps a little closer, and asks Korrik, “I can take a look if you’ll allow me to use your tools?... mine were... I... I just don’t have mine right now!...... .. And could you help me? And hold just there... Ah, thank you....”.
Thieves’ tools check on the magic drawer ((‘help’ cancelling disadvantage)): 17
Ben, all of the books are partially ruined but are still legible. Most of the books are dull (histories, collections of romantic poems, and so forth), but three are quite noteworthy. These three books bear clear titles on their spines:
The Magical Properties of Gemstones by the archmage Tenser
The Magical Properties of Herbs and Flowers by the archmage Tenser
The Metaphysics of Mathematics by the mage Nystul
Inside the third volume lies a piece of parchment torn from a larger sheet, containing a few lines of handwritten text in the Common tongue. Dampness has spoiled it so that only two words are legible: “beyond skeletons.”
*click* Ash, the drawer lock is child's play for you. The drawer contains nothing but old, valueless documents, all written in Common — receipts for purchases of various chemicals and laboratory equipment. There is also a small compartment inside the drawer. Inside the compartment, wrapped in cloth, are 2 glass vials containing reddish liquid. I am guessing at least one of you would know that this color and texture of liquid are usually healing potions.
Ash smiles with her work, pulls out the healing potions and hands one each to Ben and Korrik. When she hands one to Korrik, she says, “I think you loosened it!...”. She gives his picks back too, with a kind smile.
"No idea? Maybe a necromancer? A really lame necromancer? That might explain the invitation in the chest we found?"
While pondering that he says,
"Okay, I only have a few minutes of magic eyes left before I need to recast it. I was thinking of just opening the doors left on this floor and give them a quick peek for magic before it wears out then take our time checking them for everything else? Alternatively I can recast it now and you three can give the rooms we've been in a deep search?"
If there is agreement he will move to open the doors to the north and peek in before checking the rooms to the east. He is just giving them a scan for magic items at this point.

((Ben and Korrik have some one each of the potions, so probably.
Also, healing potions are evocation? Interesting, always thought it would as more a damage school.))
As the other two fiddle with the drawer he flips through the books and says,
"Hey, got a book on plants here. Kay would your plant lady back in town buy this, you think?"
Then when they get the potions,
"At least the trip wasn't a complete waste, gives me hope there's more to find. Maybe Ash and Ess should take them Kay?"
He keeps flipping and finds the skeleton paper,
"Hm. What do you make of this?"
Ash smiles with her work, pulls out the healing potions and hands one each to Ben and Korrik. When she hands one to Korrik, she says, “I think you loosened it!...”. She gives his picks back too, with a kind smile.

"I'm sure she'd be interested, if it's got new information in it!"
"Yeah, then we've each got one in emergencies."
"Beyond skeletons... Like spirits and ghosts? Beyond like, left the physical behind?"
"Heh, maybe jiggled some gunk free, at the most, but thanks. That was impressive."

Map updated! (no magic pings in that main room.)
((Ash accepts one of the potions back too. It’s now her 6th or 7th item in her inventory lol! Talk about travelling light! ;-) )).
