You arrive at Trollskull Manor and you're surprised to see Guhner and Brew holding back an angry Jaina who is shouting at a group of adventurers in Infernal. The adventurers are comprised of three half-elves who resemble each other and another is a druid, two gnomes one of whom is a naked male whose right eye is swollen shut and the other is a woman in armor, a human dressed in fancy clothes, a goliath who admires Guhner's facial hair. There's also a bear in bulette armor with various symbols on the head.

I waS lucky enough to stop you from Wrecking the plAce, especially The tables, not to mention Hurting the other customers. I have a right miNd to throttle all of you. Give me a reason I shouldn't call the watch.
The injured gnome steps toward Jaina who says "You're overreacting. Of course yoU -" He stops as Jaina brandishes a dagger toward this midsection.
The adventurers walk away as a furious Jaina shouts that they're all banned, except for the bear.
The three staff members see you and smile, allowing you to go inside.

Kirin - Level 15 High Elf Wizard (Evocation) - Zorg's Lost Souls - Overchannel Steel Wind Strike for the Win against Demogorgon Silas - Level 11 Human Cleric (War Domain) - Tomb of Annihilation Done
In the Year of Nightmares (−681 DR), a group of Netheresearcanists who emigrated from the Prime Material Plane to the Demiplane of Nightmares. Over time their descendants begin to be born, twisted by the magic of the realm, into nightmarish creatures, the Night Parade that is known today. At an unconfirmed date relatively recently, those of the Night Parade created gates back into the Prime Material Plane because their homeplane was becoming overpopulated. Gates were opened all over Faerûn, but most entered the portal that led to Calimport. These alien creatures began to establish 'nests' where they could hide their grotesque features from the populace of the cities that they lived in.
The Calimport cell and all of its subordinate nests were led by one who called himself Lord Sixx. Another one used his powers of mass hypnosis to create the illusion of a bad storm over the entire city. They selected several newly born babies and through a ritual, turned them into nightmarish creatures as well. This went on unnoticed for at least 35 years until the hypnotic one was killed by Myrmeen Lhal in 1359 DR. The citizens of Calimport realized what was going on and rioted. Trained troops then eliminated all others who stayed near the city.
This was not the end of the Night Parade in Faerûn though, as Calimport was only one cell. They had members all over the continent. Lord Lahl sent word to other cities warning them of the threat and the Harpers investigated reports of sightings of Night Parade-like creatures but weren't able to do much to put an end to them.
After a hot summer in Arabel not long after Lahl's adventures in her birthland, the city was beset by storms. Strangely though, they lasted for seven nights straight. At the same time, Arabel's most powerful wizards, druids and sages started disappearing, some being found murdered. One such victim was the druid Artos Malabar who managed to get out a short magical cry for help before he died. His body was found with the symbol of the Zhentarim carved into his chest.
This was a red herring planned by Lord Tempos, the leader of an elite 6-man squad of Night Parade members who had been sent to take revenge on Myrmeen Lahl and her family. Unfortunately for them, investigations into the goings on proved the Zhentarim innocent and they were tracked down to the warehouse that, posing as traders, they had bought. The squad was slain by powerful adventurers sponsored by Lahl before they could open a gate with which they would have brought hundreds more of their kin into Arabel.
A separate page on Bill
Bill is a powerful arcanist, taking on the appearance of a triangle-shaped demon. No one is sure who is ancestors are, but it's likely he came from Karsus' line. He ran amok in the Demiplane of Nightmares and occasionally in the Prime Material Plane when summoned. One instance featured Bill destroying a group of phaerim before turning his summoners into flumps. He's known for his mysterious demeanor and sadistic humor.

Brew turned to Demalis. "Those folks got a little rough and that lot got really drunk and started flirting with Jaina. He then tried something called 'helicoptering' and took off his clothes. Jaina landed two hard punches before Guhner and myself stopped it. A couple of tables were damaged but they can be repaired.
Guhner nods. "We probably lost five gold worth of ale from that lot, but the PI from down the street, and his tabaxi friend are ordering more food so that should cover any losses."
Brew looks at everyone. "Can I get you all something to eat or drink?"
"Yes, please," says Meep. "But pack mine up, I need to go upstairs and check something. Mabel, will you join me?"
Meep intends to go upstairs to the library, where the crystal ball is sitting, and try to scry on Sunblight and on Bill. He doesn't want to announce his intentions, but he isn't trying to keep it a secret from others in his group.
Slice is cleaning up the table as Vincent Trench and his assistant Raymy are having drinks. "You missed the show," Vincent says as he finishes his ale.
Brew goes and grabs a couple of drinks and a plate of potatoes and roasted chicken legs. Mabel takes them from Brew before following Meep upstairs.
Putting down the food and drink, Mabel will turn to Meep. "What'cha looking for?"
Meep puts a finger up to his lips, then starts munching on the food as he gathers a sheet of parchment and a wax stick from a drawer in the cabinet behind him. Closing the door to the library, he sits Mabel down, and begins to draw a likeness of a grey dwarf. Bald, grizzled, with an eyepatch and missing one of his front teeth, the look would appear comical on almost anyone else, but Meep draws with the practiced hand of someone who knows the face as well as he knows his own, and Mabel recognizes the sinister visage of Sunblight.
Meep takes the drawing and places it in the center of the table, and then from a shelf in a low bookcase to the left, he takes a round object covered in a velvet cloth. He removes the cloth to reveal a crystal ball, set on a stand of brass clawed feet, and sets the crystal ball on top of the drawing. Sitting opposite Mabel, and taking her hands in his, Meep begins softly chanting and bringing to mind an image of his old captor.

Sunblight's Saving Throw - 16
Ableforth Sunblight looks the same as he did before save for the clothes he's now wearing are a pristine red vest and jerkin while adjusting his eyepatch and putting on what appears to be a blond wig. He turns to one of his men, a fellow duergar dressed in armor. Sunblight begins to look around the other grey dwarf, confused. "Where are they? Where are those brats?"
The dwarf shakes his head. "We couldn't secure the twins. The whole operation was a failure."
"A failure?" Sunblight says in disgust. "What do you mean, they're just children? What about my imp?"
"The imp attacked a signer and Waterdeep watch covered the place," the dwarf replied. "We couldn't take the children. The older Cassalanter boy also showed up and his servants killed a bunch of us."
"Sunblight, confused, asked," The older boy? He's supposed to be a chain devil!"
"Yes but he said an old friend named Bill helped him regain his body."
"That's impossible!" Sunblight takes a goblet and throws it against the wall as the guard leaves.
Sunblight slams the door as a devil appears behind him. The devil shakes his head as Sunblight cringes. "Lorzael, I didn't except you here."
"You have to treat your servants better or else they may rebel," the devil says. "Our lord wants you to return to Icewind Dale."
"I can't," Sunblight replies. "I have to find the chardilyn here in Waterdeep."
"But there's plenty of chardilyn in Icewind Dale," the devil responds. "Surely you can recreate what your father did."
"No, the materials from that dragon were taken by Harper agents and brought here," Sunblight says. "I can't go back to Icewind Dale. Too many people are searching for the material and they'll kill me if they learn who I am. No, I have to find the materials here."
"And you think you can find them in this crypt?" the devil asks.
"It belonged to Danilo Thann and he was a famous Harper!" Sunblight says. "If I can find something in here that could lead me to the Harper's headquarters."
Annoyed, the devil balls his fists, almost ready to strike the mortal but shakes his head. "Fine, continue your search. I'll see you."
Sunblight snears as the devil leaves. The scry ends.
Meep shakes his head to process what he's seen. "It doesn't appear that our friend Bill is working with our friend Sunblight. I think we should go tell our friends. Our real friends, Delmalis and Twitch and everyone, not our ... you know what I mean. ...are you going to eat that?" Meep points to a morsel as he covers the crystal ball and puts it back on the shelf.
Downstairs, Meep will gather everyone in management and discuss what he learned. "Do we know any Harpers?"
As you get downstairs, you do remember that Sybil is affiliated with the Harpers. When you ask that question, Brew actually raises his hand. "Yes, I'm a member of the Harpers. I haven't gone on any missions in awhile but I'm still privy to current events."

He was named Khelben Arunsun's heir and some even believed he was once a Masked Lord. Meep looks carefully at the sheets, and his eyes go wide as he sees the capitalized letters in the poem. He puts a finger to his lips, then starts casting Leomund's Tiny Hut in the middle of the floor. As he finishes casting, he invites everyone in, and he dims the exterior of the dome to an opaque dull reddish orange.
Once everyone's inside, Meep points at the letters, and mouths "Bill is watching us." He then begins a lengthy pantomime that is difficult to interpret, but he says in a normal voice, "I think we need to go after that dirty grey dwarf, Sunblight. He's clearly the mastermind of this whole debacle."Meep then gives an overly large wink, with no clear indication as to what he's insinuating.

Sybil let out a big sigh at the papers, "I'll tell my housemate, I guess you tell who you think should know. Maybe bite this before it get too big," She depaerrst heading back to the manor.

Roland and Sybil reach the manor just as Meep and Mabel had come down the stairs.
Brew nods as he's mixing drinks. "Danilo Thann was a member of the Thann family, who's still here in Waterdeep. He was a famous bard, though some argue that he was more a wizard. He was named Khelben Arunsun's heir and some even believed he was once a Masked Lord. I don't know much about his Harper activities, though it's said he was a frequent opponent of the crimelord Eliath Craulnober."

Delmalis listens intently, having no real knowledge of the surface world or its politics and just waiting for something that makes sense for him to chip in on.
"Well what i got to add was this from my contact. It's confusing," Sybil states as she spread out the papers on a clean table.
In the Year of Nightmares (−681 DR), a group of Netherese arcanists who emigrated from the Prime Material Plane to the Demiplane of Nightmares.

He's clearly the mastermind of this whole debacle." Meep then gives an overly large wink, with no clear indication as to what he's insinuating.
