(I can fill the watches with Eldeth and Jimjar, respectively. This will be the general schedule, we may rotate people in and out as needed.)
The night passes silently. In the morning, you get back up and travel forwards. On your 3rd night of travel, you camp in a cavern filled with various fungi. If anyone would like to gather some?
Certainly Xunhar would be interested. The drow approaches the mushroom patches during the night, intrigue to see if he can remember whether they are edible and if they have any special properties at all.
((Guessing it would be a Survival check? 7 If nature, put a -2 on that.))
A barrelstalk is a large, cask-shaped fungus that can be tapped and drained of the fresh water stored within it. A single barrelstalk contains 1d4+4 gallons of water and yields 1d6+4 pounds of food.
Dubbed the "grain of the Underdark," a bluecap is inedible, but its spores can be ground to make a nutritious, bland flour. Bread made from bluecap flour is known as sporebread or bluebread. One loaf is equivalent to 1 pound of food.
Pale orange-white in color, fire lichen thrives on warmth, so it grows in regions of geothermal heat. Fire lichen can be ground and fermented into a hot, spicy paste, which is spread on sporebread or added to soups or stews to flavor them. Duergar also ferment fire lichen into a fiercely hot liquor.
Ripplebark is a shelf-like fungus that resembles a mass of rotting flesh. It is surprisingly edible. Though it can be eaten raw, it tastes better roasted. A single sheet of ripplebark yields 1d4+6 pounds of food.
A trillimac is a mushroom that grows to a height of four to five feet, and has a broad gray-green cap and a light gray stalk. The cap's leathery surface can be cut and cleaned for use in making maps, hats, and scrolls (its surface takes on dyes and inks well). The stalk can be cleaned, soaked in water for an hour, then dried to make a palatable food akin to bread. Each trillimac stalk provides 1d6+4 pounds of food.
A waterorb is a bulbous fungus that grows in shallow water. A mature waterorb can be squeezed like a sponge, yielding a gallon of drinkable water and a pound of edible (if chewy and somewhat tasteless) food.
Zurkhwood is a massive mushroom that can reach a height of thirty to forty feet. Its large grain-like spores are edible and nutritionally equivalent to 1d4+4 pounds of food, but zurkhwood is more important for its hard and woody stalks. Zurkhwood is one of the few sources of timber in the Underdark, used to make furniture, containers, bridges, and rafts, among other things. Skilled crafters can use stains, sanding, and polishing to bring out different patterns in zurkhwood.
And several exotic fungi:
A nightlight is a tall and tube-shaped bioluminescent mushroom that grows to a height of 1d6+4 feet and emits bright light in a 15-foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet. A nightlight that is uprooted or destroyed goes dark after 1 round. If a living nightlight is touched, either by a creature or an object, its light goes out until it is touched again.
A bioluminescent green moss that grows in warm and damp areas, ormu is particularly common near steam tunnels and vents. It sheds dim light in a 5-foot radius, and can be harvested, dried, and made into a phosphorescent powder or pigment.
A one- to two-foot-tall mushroom with a combustible cap, a single torchstalk burns for 24 hours once lit. There is a 1-in-6 chance that a torchstalk explodes when lit, bursting into a cloud of fiery spores.
There are a couple you don't know:
One that resembles a human tongue
A two-foot-tall toadstool with orange and red stripes across its beige cap.
Xunhar's eyes grow wide, "This is fantastic!" he motions the others nearby to come over, opening his backpack and starting to stuff all variety of mushrooms available inside, "Come! We need those... and those." he directs the other nearby in gathering the mushrooms, eventually looking over at Stool and suddenly stopping briefly, but shrugging with an awkward smile and eventually continuing, "Enough sustenance to last us days." he says, making sure to get a few torchstalks into his backpack. He eventually comes closer to those he's uncertain about, declaring "Steer clear of those, can't really remember their properties."
Moxo freezes for a moment, then drops and steps on what he was eating to cover it from anyone seeing. “Oh these?” He asks, indicating the mushrooms around him. “I’m sure they’re delicious! Fine, I mean. I’m sure they’re fine...”
Zenga and Fred pause from carefully picking the mushrooms indicated to look up over at Moxo. They both shrug after a moment and carry on. Moxo is Moxo...
Armalis's mouth begins to water at the prospect of fresh mushrooms, a testament to the quality of "food" given to them in the Drow prison... "Here, let me help you carry those."
Ok. You gather enough food for several days for the group. The night passes without incident and you continue on for another 2 days. On your 6th night, Xunhar and Asha are standing first watch when they see
2 goblins running down the tunnel, not looking where they're going. You have 1 round to act before they are within melee range.
Xunhar jumps to a stand and signs Asha to be at the ready, silently taking a few steps forward and conjuring Dancing Lights at a distance, causing all four orbs of light to coalesce into a vaguely humanoid glowing shape right in front of the goblins, with outstretched hand. He then shouts in Undercommon "Halt!" loud enough to possibly startle the nearby companions from sleep.
((I could swear Ashen_Age's was the last post here the last couple of times I've checked. Sorry about that))
Groggy, Armalis pulls himself to his feet, hefting his maul. The heavy hammer head drags on the stone behind him. "Good eyes, Xunhar. Likely they meant to rob us, or worse, while we slept."
Xunhar is more alarmed by whatever they might be running from, he takes a few steps ahead and tries to catch a glimpse further down the tunnel.
Perception: 16
There is nothing there except the goblins and your dancing lights. It's safe to hazard a guess they are escaped slaves, though, which would explain why they ran away from the spell, an ability every drow has.
Something seemingly clicks for Xunhar, he demands from the goblins in Undercommon "Are they after you?" and without waiting a response, he shouts to the others in Common "On your guard, we may need to move somewhere else!"
(Armalis on the 3rd watch)

“Whuzzat?” Fred calls out when his slumber is broken.
“I didn’t do it, can’t prove a thing!” Moxo calls out, leaping to his feet and looking around instinctively.
As the three Kobolds gather themselves and accept the reality of being awake, they look about and wonder what all the fuss is about.
“Goblins? You awoke us for Goblins? What do we care about Goblins??”

The goblins continue running from Xunhar, obviously a drow. As the party begins packing up camp, Xunhar can see
4 drow with loaded crossbows. They fire and the goblins collapse.
(Roll Initiative, but in a spoiler, since the rest of the group, with the exception of the drow npcs, can't see them yet.)
