Eldin walks toward the tinker's shop as he says to himself upon exiting the tavern, "What the hell was that pathetic performance, Eldin? You're better at these kinds of things than that." As he says this, he remembers that one time he tried to persuade a servant to give him the keys to his master's house. It turned into a fierce bar fight and Eldin barely managed to escape with a few bumps and bruises. Eldin turns a little red and says, "You know, maybe you aren't as good at your job as you think you are."
He enters the tinker's shop and decides to look around a bit to see what he can figure out from the shop and its customers. Investigation check: 3
Upon completing the initial investigation, he ask Hades for guidance again.
In the back of the shop you hear a whistle bellow and a loud crash like someone spilled a load of pots and pans. "HAHAHA" a high pitched laughter. And steam escapes around the cracks of the door. No one comes to the desk to help you. No one else appears to be in the front of the shop.
Its hard to see through the steam at first. Something's pushing against your legs. "Out, out" a frazzled gnome with suspenders and big goggles on his forehead shoves you back into the shop front. He clambers up onto a high stool to look you in the face. "Wanda ya need? Looking for tools? Spy glass? Lock? Ladder? You're a fighter. I can see you're a fighter. Now, I don't have any weapons, but you might like this!" He climbs down and rummages through some shelves behind you.

Eldin collects himself and says, "Actually, I was told that you might have people who are "brewing enthusiasts" come to shop here. I was actually wondering if anyone would like to be brewer or bartender at a new tavern being constructed at the coliseum." Eldin then begins to advertise how great the new tavern will be.
(A perception check on Beryk's belongings may reveal some brewing supplies. Sorry if I'm not allowed to reveal this since my character is in the arena but I'm bored waiting for my turn lol)

"Caltrops! That's what you're here for... A brewer? Well I don't know who you want to do your brewing, but I can get them setup for the job. You're putting a tavern in the Coliseum? That's an excelent plan! It'll take a lot of work to get setup. You'll need barrels, and mugs, and tools! Lots of tools; stoves, and ovens, and a cart. You're I fighter. I can see that you're a fighter. Why are you making a tavern instead of fighting? You'll need a brewers kit! You should get something special. Custom! Build it right into the place. A brewer's kit isn't so simple you can't just put any fool in front of it. You gotta find a brewer! A good one, the best!... Who did you have in mind?"

Eldin is caught a bit of guard by the talkative nature of the gnome but it isn't exactly something new to him. He says, "A custom brewer's kit huh? Who do you think would build one for me? As for the brewers... do you know any good ones looking for a job? What about bartenders?" He then thinks to himself, "I should find a library and check out a book on brewing or something."
While listening to the gnome he tries to pick out what is truth and what is salesmanship. Insight check: 11 (Ear for Deceit: 8+1: 9)
The gnome doesn't have a dishonest bone in his body. He tells you about a handful of brewers nearby who aren't looking for work and what they do wrong and right in their technique. He goes on for quite awhile often going off on a tangent and occasionally remembering that you fight in the arena and you could use a bag of ball bearings or a bear trap. Eventually he seems tired out like he's been forgetting to breath. He offers you a drink.
Eldin politely declines the drink. He borrows a piece of paper and a pen to note down all the brewers he was told about, their strengths and weaknesses and their locations. He then thanks the gnome with a bow. He asks if he can buy and a custom brewer's kit and have it fitted at the tavern from his shop or a brewer's kit in general.

Eldin thanks the gnome one more time and says that he'll tell the other fighters about the shop. He then leaves and thinks, "Alright. Now that that's taken care of, I should talk to the guilds." He goes to the guilds to legitimize their business. Before entering, he seeks Guidance from Hades.
Eldin spends the rest of his day signing forms and paying membership fees. Fortunately Adair's already been by each guild. The forms are complete needing only signatures. She took care of interviews and bribes. Eldin is expected and not delayed along his way.
