4. "I come from a predominantly upper class family but I have qualms sharing my drink with the less fortunate."
5. "Of course I have friends! I have tons of friends! Do I seem like a guy that doesn't have any friends? Who told you I didn't have friends?"
A concerned look falls on Eldin's face. He goes quiet as he thinks for a while. He then says, "People of all classes and creeds are welcome in this tavern. I hope you won't mind serving the rich as well as the poor their drinks."
Eldin smiles and says, "I see. That's good to hear. Now how much do you expect for your services? Keep in mind that I can't make any concrete promises until my employer/ business partner gets here"
What's the furthest position you can start the fight at?
How tall are Walls =
...
Looks like Argoth, Urrk, and Jianyu will be in row 12. Temaya, Ramal, and Paren in row 1 (not 2)
The walls are 12 feet high. Smooth marble and would be difficult to climb. The structures have no roofs or ceilings for spectator visibility. The tower walls are 15 feet.
After Eldin finishes his talk with Baryk, he will try to find a shop in the town where he can buy a holy symbol and 100 ml of alcohol or spirit.
(Also, BDaddly, you never told me if I could trade my water breathing scroll and the token for a Shield +1 and a Short sword +1)
"That'll be 6 gold marks."
(You can trade one item when you win as your prize. Yes either the scroll or the token can be traded, at that time, for either a Shield +1 or a Shortsword +1)

I'll trade the scroll for the shield then. Eldin pays 6 gold.
(To Baryk) Eldin smiles and says, "Welcome aboard! It looks like I have yet another match to get to so I'll be going now. If you ever need a merc, let me know."
Eldin quickly walks out to buy some stuff from town (the aforementioned alcohol and the holy symbol.)
Initiative: 20 He equips his new gear before heading into the arena at 1B
Eldin takes off his scarf and ties the holy symbol to it. He then wears the symbol like a necklace (Unless it's an amulet)

...
(You can trade it when you win the match as a prize. You did not win the last match. There may be a shield in your chest. And you can take that and still have the scroll to trade. But not until you win the prize.)
(Alternatively I suppose you can trade two tokens for a prize. I give consolation prizes if you, or someone on your team, advances to an odd level from a loss.)

Oh got it. I don't know why I took that long to understand. Sorry.
(With that random thought. I'll let anyone exchange a magic item for a prize token at any time. So you can trade your scroll and token for the shield now if you like.)
P.S: I'm going to bed now. Maybe tiredness had something to do with my lack of understanding but I'm probably just making excuses at that point. See you in 15 hours )
(So to be clear, a victorious player is awarded a choice magical items if they are above level 1. (Otherwise it is a mundane item from the PHB or a spell scroll or a skill item or a language item.) The magical items are random. A player may choose to take one of the random items or may trade a previously won magic item for an item of equal rarity of their choice.
A player may also be given a magic item on a loss as a consolation prize but would be subject to the same rules. Or given a token that can be traded in a future victory.
Furthermore, a player may trade two magic items for a magic item of their choice at any time. (Or a token and a magic item at least, and tokens can be gained by trading a magic item, so essentially 2 magic items.))

(Sounds like you've got it except I'm not planning to give magic items as consolation prizes, just the tokens or tier 1 access. You get a potion if you don't have a potion.)
(This is the first time I've had someone advance to 5 on a loss. Hitting 7 on a loss would yield the same token while the winners will get Tier 3 chests (Rare magic). I give players advancing to 3 access to Tier 1 prizes on a loss.)
Having heard of the great exploits of Klong the Banger, Gewonnt is quite excited to see the Giant Bard in person.
