Wizards, bards, clerics, druids, and artificers can all cast ritual spells as rituals (without a spell slot), but only the wizard can cast rituals they don't have prepared.
The ritual caster feat (and book of ancient secrets warlock invocation) allow anyone to cast rituals.
I'm new to 5.0 and am wondering if a wizard automatically gains ritual casting at level 1 or do they have to spend a Feat for it later on?

They have it automatically, but can only use it for spells with the ritual tag. In dndbeyond it looks like a little R in a book.
While Xalthu has the correct answer here is a link to all Ritual Spells
