What happens if you draw the Star from the Deck of Many Things and choose to increase your Constitution Score by 2 to increase your modifier by 1? I know that your hit point maximum will increase by a number equal to your level; however, do your current hit points also increase? I am trying to find where this is supported Rules As Written.
Yes your HP would also increase for the past levels. So if you say got a +2 con at lvl 10 you would get the HP retroactivly.
Hit Points
Your Constitution modifier contributes to your hit points. Typically, you add your Constitution modifier to each Hit Die you roll for your hit points.
If your Constitution modifier changes, your hit point maximum changes as well, as though you had the new modifier from 1st level. For example, if you raise your Constitution score when you reach 4th level and your Constitution modifier increases from +1 to +2, you adjust your hit point maximum as though the modifier had always been +2. So you add 3 hit points for your first three levels, and then roll your hit points for 4th level using your new modifier. Or if you're 7th level and some effect lowers your Constitution score so as to reduce your Constitution modifier by 1, your hit point maximum is reduced by 7.
Is there a part of the rules that says that the current HP increases? I am not talking about with level ups. I am more talking about if you attune to an amulet of health or are affected by something in the middle of combat that increases your Constitution. The part of the rules that you are pointing to from the PHB only describes what happens to the hit point maximum, not your current hit point value.

Your max HP will go up but your current HP will not until you heal, such as by taking a long rest or receive healing magic.
