Your initiative bonus is usually just your DEX modifier, i.e., if you have 16 DEX, your bonus is +3. Some spells/features modify this further, but D&D Beyond character sheets should account for this.
Initiative is typically a nonproficient dexterity ability check.

It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.

My dexterity is 7 would I still add 3
