There are no playable races whom count as size large. There are several that have something akin to a "powerful build": Bugbear, Centaur, Firbolg, Giff, Goliath, Loxodon and Orcs are considered "Large" when dragging, pushing and carrying.
All characters are good casters, since you can redistribute ability score bonuses as per updated variant rules. But a Firbolg naturally has some spellcasting and is 7 - 8 feet tall.
Multiple problems with being large, which is why it does not exist, despite creatures like centaurs that are basically horses which are large.
Using spells or other abilities to upgrade them one more category to become Huge. So you are not really deciding to be come large, you are really deciding to become large/possibly huge.
Natural Reach is a powerful ability, especially if you have to consider a reach weapon.
Equipment and interoperability. You are large - can you use normal armor, weapons? What about simpler things like say lock picks - are they too small for you to use? Two handed weapons in one hand? etc. etc.
The entire set of rules assumes you are Medium and/or might become Large temporary. Spells reference sizes directly rather than relatively. Grappleing etc. Unknown interactions between your size.
End result, the game decided to make people be Medium, and the larger ones get a limited "Powerful Build" feature rather than actually making them large. This negates all of the above issues without major additional rules.
Permanent Large size is not a typical character option in 5E due to various ramifications it has. There are temporary ways to increaseto Large size, such as the enlarge/reduce spell or Rune Knight's Giant Might feature but these generally have limited usage frequency and duration.
Like the others said there's no official Large races. But there is one thing you might try.
Cleric / Druid multiclass. (Probably Circle of the Moon.) Cast Spirit Guardians, wildshape into a large creature. Now you have the larger AoE to affect more creatures.
Hi,
I would like to have ideas for races of playable characters whose criteria is that they are "LARGE" and that they are good spellcasters.
Is there a reference book on this for playable large races?
Looking forward to receiving several concepts.
Thanks you

This is a signature. It was a simple signature. But it has been upgraded.
