Ok. Staffs and Wands I can understand as a spellcasting focus. We've seen a lot of that in fantasy. Rods are like the perfect middle ground of the two so okay.
My question is this. I have a Warlock that has a Crystal Arcane Focus. What I'm asking is ideas as to how I can properly incorporate the Crystal Focus into my warlock's spellcasting.

I'll roll to see how fun this is. Oh look at that. Natural 20
Tell us more about your Warlock. Is the crystal a living source of their patron's power? Maybe it's an ooze of the Great Old One that crawls on your shoulder but crystallizes to cast spells. Maybe it's an elaborate but otherwise fake crystal that hangs from your neck and you hold in your hand to "pretend" you need it to cast spells. Maybe it's a black pearl from an oyster of the deep ocean that is embedded in the palm of your hand. You're a Warlock, make it cool.
My Warlock is a Tiefling Warlock Of The Fiend. His pact is forged with Asmodeus, ruler of the 9 hells. The crystal was given to my Warlock by Asmodeus as a way to assist the Warlock with spells. The crystal itself is a dark red icosahedron that's bigger than a baseball. It's tied to my warlock's belt by a black piece of leather that is also from the 9 hells.

I always imagined the crystal arcane focus as a really cool one. I think of it as like some kind of shard that you can hold in your hand like a handle. Maybe it glows as you hold it up, and the spells comes out of it, or the hand you hold it in, in general.
Crystal's are probably the most versatile focus for roleplay purposes... everything else has a fairly obvious action associated with them, but a crystal... it could be a necklace... embedded in a ring... even worn as a weird monocle or something.
I always picture crystal foci is hanging from a necklace. I had a wizard that did that so when he cast lightning bolt it kinda looked like one of Iron Man's chest beams.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.

Also known as CrafterB and DankMemer.
Here, have some homebrew classes! Subclasses to? Why not races. Feats, feats as well. I have a lot of magic items. Lastly I got monsters, fun, fun times.
